Every time I see something related of giving body to Johnny, my gut just twists itself goes haywire.
I don't think this would happen. It would be pretty expensive to bring Keanu back just for some DLC.

It's a matter of perspective.. you can claim that a Startrek teleporter disintegrates a person into energy therefore killing the host each time and reforming them and each time they are just a copy of a copy of a copy or that our memory is our essence, our soul.
Your premise is based on what Alt said. Not any other facts. Just because she said it kills the soul doesnt make it so. As science even in 2077 cant quantify what a soul is. Also it ignores advancement with the Soul Killer program.

"Copy V". No. yes. Up to you to decide. CDPR fucked up by explaining the entire concept of copied personalities in a shoddy way. Its a trope thats pretty much everywhere in cyberpunk. Are you still you ? Is a clone you ? That is NOT something that should be definitively answered, thats where cdpr done goofed. Its a dilemma that every player for themselves should decide. That is why a lot of us are saying that the 6months to live part is silly because you already have your emotional dilemma in that question of "beeing".
That said i also agree that the 6 months part feels like an opening for a (hopefully free) DLC to a continuation of the story. I want to believe

If they plan to tie all these endings together - with all the foreshadowing probably likely - I HIGHLY doubt it would be free DLC. The free DLC we get, other than customization options, will probably be a couple questlines here and there. Mid-game. If they stick to the Witcher 3 DLC promise, not only that our first paid DLC should be mid-game as well.

It is a interesting debate. In regards to the game we just have a thrown out line from a AI. With the corpo ending you see a transfer of a engram with no issue (the father) or even Jonnys take over of V and they appear totally normal.
There are some real plot holes as if Jonny can force his engram on V but V cant on another? They tell her she needs a compatible donor of her own genetics... well was V Jonnys grandchild? Its very thin plot on why V is stuck as a engram.
They clone animals in 2077 why not human husks to transfer engrams. Even if they cant grow them faster it means V and other engrams would get new body's in a couple of decades.
I'm just not happy at all with the endings for one main reason.. with out some reworking or forced ending they cant continue Vs story. I really dont want a pre event DLC. This isnt like Mass Effect 3... that ending came after all 3 games.. not kill off the main character the players have fought for in the first game before even any DLC... it's a real shame.
Again, I'm kinda being pessimistic, but feels like there might no be ending where we return to the night city as merc without Johnny. Or even ending where V survivs.
I was trying to do some gigs yesterday (screw the main mission, ain't touching that) and I had to destroy some communication tower or disable it. Everything was going fine and dandy when right at the top of the tower Johnny pops up to give me some retarded memory of his. Like what? Why was that needed here? Huh?
So it seems if V would survive and game would put you NC to continue exploring, there would be problems with removing Johnny.
It really do feels like they jam fisted us with Johnny everywhere they could.

I'm convinced they just didn't have time (or maybe couldn't bother) develop a proper endgame. I would bet that the endings they had written one/two years ago were completely different than the ones we got now. Did you ask why every single ending forced you to LEAVE night city? They made up some reasons as to why you had to leave, simply because staying would require developing a proper endgame, even the "become a night city legend" option had you going on a mission in space, lol. They had deadlines to meet and didn't find it important enough to have an endgame, so they wrapped things the way they did. Also, the "Meet Hanako" task (which stays on your HUD forever), should simply not be there in an otherwise completed game.
Well with the corpo ending they remove the chip and you still get flashes of Jonny. They could chalk it up to a digital ghost, do to the imprinting of the engram it also imprinted the ghost... you just will be hearing and seeing a ghost the rest of your life lol
I've said it on other threads before, people speculate, and I agree, that Sony's move was simply a reaction to CDPR's statement about full refunds on consoles without Sony's constent.
Sony is known for shitty customer service and horrible refund policy. Obviously CDPR's twitter statement has boosted the refund requests and Sony just wants to streamline process and show a middle finger to CDPR manwhile. The game isn't broken enough to be the issue.
That's exactly what I was saying yesterday, they have to modify the missions so you can play without the chip in your head.
Well frankly, mostly you have dialogue options with Johnny are in main story. So wouldn't be that much.
