Yep, that's the one, bet that anyone that's played the game for a while and went through that mission was left like "ok... what now?" Just like with delamain's quest, think that River's mission was the only one that closed rather well, although a choice in which YOU take matters into your hands would've been interesting-

Also MP is where the money or at least the attention's at lately so it's a huge possibility, worrisome too, but even then the game is still way buggy for it to be even a passable MP game for the moment
Its not only buggy, but so much stuff is missing. Have you seen characters shadows? They are horrendous. Also V has no mouth movement in 3rd person and these are only grains of sand in this supposedly sandbox.

Don't remind me, it's a gripe I've had (still have) with the game from the get go alongside the "background choices", but all the more reason that they can't still release MP on it, if they can't even fix that MP will be a huge mess, also with all the exploits still going around MP will definitely have so many that it won't be able to hold against other MPs out there

Definitely more complicated than a happy ending, if you take a look at it the game continuously hints at DLCs or a Cyberpunk 2078 lol, one exmaple is the Peralez missions, don't want to spoil so just remember that there's someone out there that hacked you as if it were nothing, then there's the endings themselves, except the devil's endings pretty much every ending points to a what's to come, even the "secret" ending, I'd argue that the secret ending hints at it the strongest since CP 2077 is nothing more than the continuation of Alt's and Johnny's story in night city, whole game feels more like the intro of V into cyberpunk world and how Alt and Johnny wrap their story with arasaka rather than V being the main character of the game

Gaunter O'Dimm was a guy you met in the first area in Witcher 3 and he was selling mirrors. Evil chaos god and the later antagonist in expension was selling mirrors in cantina.

There are many things like this that you mention - Alt, Delamain, NetWatch, AIs mention during main quest and in talk-shows in radio. Both Alt and Delamain survive the main quest. V is an engram in most endings and it the one s/he isn't it is hinted that this still is the case (feeling empty in Arasaka back to Earth ending)

All the seven ends are really dark and sad. Like really. we need a happy ending.

Edit: What do you think of the alternative endings, all of them are sad, and from what I see that people want at least one a happy one, atleast like a Top secret-Easter Egg, at least to achieve it with legendary clothes and level 50, or at least in extreme hard mode. What would be the best idea to fit?

Once the holiday madness is over and I can sit down to actually play through the whole game, I can't wait to see all the sad endings haha!. Here is a positive way of looking at it... which ending is the HAPPIEST of all the sad endings? lol

I agree, it sucks that V dies in all endings, the protagonist should live in at least one of the endings,
the description of the game is to find the chip of eternal life and yet you die anyway!

The more i put my thought into those 6 months the more it annoys me. It serves completely nothing.

Its like in TW3 Ciri comes with geralt to become a witcher and then that elf (forgot the name) comes in and says that Ciri has probably 6 months to live.

Or better yet Bladerunner, after Decker leaves in the end, corpo manager that makes replicants and says, if shes replicant, she has half a year to live.

But you found the chip and you can receive eternal life*

*Eternal life - sign a contract with Arasaka waiving all you basic and fundamental rights since engrams are not humans within the meaning of law. Arasaka will even look for free for your new host body while you can wait in cozy Mikoshi lobby with virtual blackjack and hookers**
**virtual blackjack and hookers will take care of your while you will be reprogramed to become a brain-dead Arasaka puppet that will do anything asked for without any second thought.

As much as they say that main story is done, I kind of have juge doubts. You don't put so much time in the wrold, characters, especially V, just to kill it off in the first game. Makes no sense no matter how you look at it. Unless they go scummy Rockstar way, and forget SP completely and make another grinding online shitshow full of cheaters.

we already play as Johnny in the game, we could play as some other mercs in the dlc/sequels

Ahhh gaunter! Good man reminding me of those epic moments.

See, those moments with Alt, Del, even on Johnny's ending which it felt the most cannonical possibility to me (only because I kept thinking back on CP 2020's story between Alt, the corpos and Johnny) make me absolutely sure that there'll be a continuation with every one of those characters, even adding Peralez to the pot to better define the future of night city

Which would alienate quite a few people. So yeah, that's probably going to happen. Damn, I am getting more and more cynical about this each passing day... :(

Issue is, V is pretty much dead once Johnny goes into the body. You get soulkilled once you enter mikoshi and basically brain gets wiped from everything and then only Johnny returns or V. So no, there is no merge.

You're welcome to ignore the evidence if you like, but there are volumes of empirical data that support my theory.

As people already talked, they should remove 6 months at least from one ending and let us return to the city back being normal merc.

I feel like removing 6 months from Arasaka ending and Nomad one would be the best as someone mentioned.

V gains nothing from Arasaka ending, so should just be able return back to NC doing stuff that V knows best. Went through hell but survived.

Nomad should loose probably 6 months too. Find love of your life, but you become an engram and you leave NC life for good.

Only path of glory should stay as it is.

I love the endings. I think all of them being from bittersweet to sad and depressing is what makes them so emotionally impactful and memorable. For my Nomad V, I feel like Panam's ending was the sweetest one, although on my first choice I got the Devil and no SYS, which is probably the most depressing one, but so real. It's probably my favorite precisely because of that.

See, as someone who studied neuroscience at Uni, I do agree with this. The two have merged, there is no denying it. But I would argue this. Wouldn't the V that is SoulKilled as soon as they jack into Mikoshi a more complete version of the two combined? Considering it didn't just copy V, it would have copied Johnny as well. Everything Johnny has experienced and gone through has been shared between the two.

I think out of the two, this is probably the better ending as V still has control. Johnny did something horrendous, he killed a lot of innocent people more than we ever could. Johnny doesn't exactly deserve a second chance, but you can find it within yourself to learn from them and not go down that route. Just like Johnny learned from V.

The two are basically the same it's just 'who's fronting'. Johnny is just back in the subconscious, rather than a full front personality fighting for dominance.

Johnny at the front however seems like he's happy but yet not. He sounds well, so sad. He's lost everyone, and he's alone again. The one person he clicked with is now gone. There is no positivity left for him. In the grand scheme of things, how long can Johnny live with what he's done?

There is an insane amount of content missing, even romance options are not something you have control over, if you are straight or gay male/female V you only get 1 option

It serves as an ending point to V's story, but instead of making death immediate, it allows them to have some sort of cushion in case they decide to expand on V's story in the future. That's how I see it at least

I would prefer to remember this game as the game that gave you choices about how your character is gonna end up. You could get sad endings, good endings, wtf-endings, epic blaze-of-glory endings, depending on your choices.

Instead I will forever remember this game at the one that sucked me into its world with engaging content only to reward my efforts with 7 different shades of depression disregarding everything I achieved.
