Definitely more complicated than a happy ending, if you take a look at it the game continuously hints at DLCs or a Cyberpunk 2078 lol, one exmaple is the Peralez missions, don't want to spoil so just remember that there's someone out there that hacked you as if it were nothing, then there's the endings themselves, except the devil's endings pretty much every ending points to a what's to come, even the "secret" ending, I'd argue that the secret ending hints at it the strongest since CP 2077 is nothing more than the continuation of Alt's and Johnny's story in night city, whole game feels more like the intro of V into cyberpunk world and how Alt and Johnny wrap their story with arasaka rather than V being the main character of the game
If is as you say, well CP 2078 will be a game with V as main character. But this will be a big scam from the devs.
The game litteraly released now, and if they still leave us like this, will be sad, and they will definetily lose the affection and trust of the players. Will be a bad marketing move

True that, I just think CDPR aimed for something akin to bioware did with the ME trilogy, still remember ME1 and 2, those ended rather open as well, also, there's Cyberpunk Red out there and there are some hints into more material coming related to 2077's story, if we're lucky we may even have something like what Drew Karpshyn did in ME with the novels and added material which just made the whole universe of that game be a bit cooler.

And @Froste29 the delamain quest DEFINITELY feels like it's attached to Altiera's progression from were she ended up from 2020, if you go for Johnny's choice there's a lot more to unravel with Delamain after 2077

ME2 had like one of best endings in RPG, not because it was insanely epic [tough it was, ending was one big mission] but because players choices actually MATTERED. It was up to player how it all ended and that's how it should be. CDPR promised same thing with CP77 many times in media, yet they didn't delivered. Player choices doesn't matter.

Instead of ME2 we got ME3 with 7 colored-raibow endings. All equally crappy.

Oh yes, definitely, well at this moment the options are virtually endless, think about it, you can even go from any of the endings but the story moves forward from the triangle between Alt-Arasaka-Johnny to a more world involving setting such as the AIs, Netwatch itself and the corpos and even darker groups -remember that V himself was hacked as if it were nothing in a certain mission in which they mention that they know what he is and what he has- while also either having V saving his life and bringing back his friend because there's more to have or even viceversa, hell, at this moment I can even crack a joke and laugh at it while thinking that Gary may have been right and THE ALPHA CENTAURI TECHNOMANCERS WILL APPEAR NEXT rofl (that gary reminds me of alex jones so much)

Agreed, completetly agreed, even though ME3 with all dlcs felt awesome, but hey, that's just with all DLCs, if CP77 at least had a mordin moment, or a wrex moment, it might've felt as a great game (just feel like not actually be one)

I'm not upset at the "Six months to live" issue, it's obviously to keep the game open for DLC with is fine, but the endings are still garbage. I did the Nomad ending and it was like playing an entirely different game, sort of a COD without the proper game mechanics. Unlike the rest of the game there was one way to go and you were totally on the rails, and honestly the final battle was so glitchy (it wasn't counting Quickhack kills for me so I had to redo it and use weapons) and the tank was like driving a greased watermellon in a kiddy pool.

Even worse is the special, super secret ending, at least so far. Luckily I had the required % and happen to read about having to wait but...
So I clear out the lobby and go to the elevator where Jonny says we need to search for a key and immediately start getting shot from behind, turn around and the f'n room is filled again, no sound of footsteps or yelling or any warning at all and no time react so you die. Plus because you, for some reason, can't save even though you cleared the lobby you have to do the whole damn thing again... I know it's supposed to be hard but it shouldn't cheat you to do it. Damned annoying.

As much as they say that main story is done, I kind of have juge doubts. You don't put so much time in the wrold, characters, especially V, just to kill it off in the first game. Makes no sense no matter how you look at it. Unless they go scummy Rockstar way, and forget SP completely and make another grinding online shitshow full of cheaters.

I still say giving body to Johnny ending is the best outcome. Because V is 100% intact. Absorbed, but intact in Alt. Do sequel sauce. Rescue the bastard out of Alt. V is back. VS the other endings that have V critically wounded. Because they didn't set it up that once a Relic takes over a body. Another Relic can't be used to extract or restore the original engram. Only time was against them. If they could have stayed in Mikoshi and built a new Relic chip. I would have done: Panam final mission, Kill Smasher. Make a new Relic chip. Offload V's chip into Smashers body. Than swap Johnny and V between the two bodies.

Ah ye you are talking about the president mission (don't remember the name) where you are gonna talk to him and they hack you during the phone call. I was really disappointed for that mission, I really would know how it ends. I still need to few side missions and random encounters, so maybe they will show the end there, I hope. If not this will be another disappointment for me.

Don't wanna be too pesimistic but looking at what CDPR management is doing it's actually possible.

I don't how what you guys think about multiplayer, but I really think that they should wait, fix the single players, the endings and the dlc. When everything is done, they should go ahead and focus on multiplayer. But if they leave main story like this... Bruh, if they dump it like this... will be really, really sad.

Companies only think about money, rarely about reputation, so, quite possible we might get totally screwed

Yep, that's the one, bet that anyone that's played the game for a while and went through that mission was left like "ok... what now?" Just like with delamain's quest, think that River's mission was the only one that closed rather well, although a choice in which YOU take matters into your hands would've been interesting-

Also MP is where the money or at least the attention's at lately so it's a huge possibility, worrisome too, but even then the game is still way buggy for it to be even a passable MP game for the moment

Its not only buggy, but so much stuff is missing. Have you seen characters shadows? They are horrendous. Also V has no mouth movement in 3rd person and these are only grains of sand in this supposedly sandbox.

V can't die, they are gonna release expansion packs and sequel(i think). It is just a plot point. But endings are trash when you finished the game first time.

Don't remind me, it's a gripe I've had (still have) with the game from the get go alongside the "background choices", but all the more reason that they can't still release MP on it, if they can't even fix that MP will be a huge mess, also with all the exploits still going around MP will definitely have so many that it won't be able to hold against other MPs out there

Gaunter O'Dimm was a guy you met in the first area in Witcher 3 and he was selling mirrors. Evil chaos god and the later antagonist in expension was selling mirrors in cantina.

There are many things like this that you mention - Alt, Delamain, NetWatch, AIs mention during main quest and in talk-shows in radio. Both Alt and Delamain survive the main quest. V is an engram in most endings and it the one s/he isn't it is hinted that this still is the case (feeling empty in Arasaka back to Earth ending)

I don't think they will release any new content with a story or give any news with the current state of the game

All the seven ends are really dark and sad. Like really. we need a happy ending.

Edit: What do you think of the alternative endings, all of them are sad, and from what I see that people want at least one a happy one, atleast like a Top secret-Easter Egg, at least to achieve it with legendary clothes and level 50, or at least in extreme hard mode. What would be the best idea to fit?
Once the holiday madness is over and I can sit down to actually play through the whole game, I can't wait to see all the sad endings haha!. Here is a positive way of looking at it... which ending is the HAPPIEST of all the sad endings? lol
