Can you give the source about it?
Did you cross the bridge or enter the well?I finished all Panam quests on good terms. I rode with Panam as female V in the final assault. Didn't get that ending. What did I do wrong?
I guess could make Alt main villain. At this point? AI's taking over everything and indoctrinating the world, assuming direct control. Assimulating everyone into one being like some edgy anime character.
I guess could make Alt main villain.
If anything the 6 month timer essentially obscures these topics because of how front and centre it is. Those topics should be what all the forum navel gazing revolves around but instead they give you the farcical we copied you then gave your copy another terminal illness haha!!

Oh, I see ... No, I think that time I chose to let Johnny live. Makes sense that it won't trigger this way.Did you cross the bridge or enter the well?
You know we live in the happy times with great leaders that value democracy and people in general, old treaties are thriving, world is getting safer since we don’t have a global warming/crysis or any pandemics /sDude i am around since pac-man.... i am a fossil at this point xD
Well considering ME 3 Endings. The Indoctrination theory makes not only more sense than the actual endings they are backed up by evidence by daydreams of shepard, hallucinations, and sound effects which are exactly on point with the lore where the explanation of the "Starchild" is an oxymoron and makes 0 sense. By their logic they kill everyone capable of making synth life etc. to prevent the extermination of everything by exterminating everything. That is like cutting off your legs in order to prevent you from breaking them. That is the dumbest plot i ever had to read in my entire life. And i read alot of books.
"I am the reaper overlord. My logic is flawless. My explanations are literally the dumbest shit you can ever think off" Choose your colour.......
I think CDPR went with the same strategy TLOU2 did. "We make no sense but we exceed expectations..... ok they are negative but we exceeded even those" Yay to us.
It's like one company after another has no clue anymore how to write a good story. It ain't that hard nor is it to much to ask that you sell what you advertise. No one would sell a car by telling you it can fly only that once ppl can buy it you meant by flying that it can fly a longer distance from a cliff than any other car out there and you simply had the wrong expectations if you believed otherwise.
I mean.... C'mon CDPR we know you can do better than that.
Man i miss Amy Hennig. Back when games like Legacy of Kain series had a story your mind was blown apart. Nowadays you get one depressing story after another which makes no sense but one company after another tells you its "innovative or progressive" yet you sit there and think to yourself. WTF is wrong with this industry...... Same as in movies. It is depressing as hell nowadays.
I mean, that's kind of like one of the only options honestly. Alt becomes big bad. Johnny who is now an AI establishes contact with V thy hacking their chip. Alt takes over NUSA and Militech, war and more war. Was my thought that the whole reason why Mr Blue Eyes, hired you is that V can get their hand on a VIP list of very important people. The perfect type of people an AI would want their hands on. Get them, soulkill them, assimulate.I guess could make Alt main villain.
There's still the whole issue of being Soulkilled in the Panam ending that is kinda glazed over.
But we've been down that road a million times now so yeah I'll spare you and I'll not go into it all again.
The developers may as well of went for "colored" endings like Bioware did for all the satisfaction i got out of the ones i've experienced (the ones i've not played but researched sound just as depressing as the ones i have). The endings make it completely pointless to play on after finishing the main story since V's going to die anyhow, thanks "writers".

jokes asides but this a dystopian game made by a studio known for doing dystopian worlds, based on dystopian pnp tabletop.
for me a good/happy ending wouldn’t fit this world, maybe max a so called happy ending with Witcher 3, but then they were finishing Geralt story arc.
now this endings are not bad or sad. They are inconclusive as for now. We get that we have only 6 months to live or can wait behind Blackwall or in the Mikoshi and that’s the problem that we don’t know what will happen next.
For me there will be expansions that will push whole story forward, but for now CDPR is in the fixing mode and will need to wait at least to the first big patch for more info about the future.
Quite frankly I don't understand the Soulkilling thing because V still acts and behaves like normal regardless. As far as I'm concerned it's irrelevant because it feels irrelevant.
Dont think it should be just war. Imo should be more complicated. Like Alt trying to destroy/assimilate/consume every human.I mean, that's kind of like one of the only options honestly. People discussed about it a lot here, but it doesnt rly matter cuz of 6 months expiration date on V anywayIt is relevant because it kills V and replaces V with a copy. The games brushes over it so I can't really blame you.
Lemme see if I can't find a post from earlier that goes into more detail on it.

To everyone complaining about the Panam ending not being 'happy' enough I highly encourage you to go back, reload the savefile and do that ending all over again. But this time, pay attention to all the little details. There are many details littered throughout hinting why this is a better ending than you think (e.g. Tarots) but I'll give you a less obvious example. When you're at the tent where the Basilisk is there's a data pad called 'The Iliad'.
Here's what it says and i've added my interpretation in brackets:
- "If I abide here and war about the city of Trojans [Night City], then lost is my home [Mother Nature with the Aldecaldos], but my renown shall be imperishable [maintain a strong reputation in Night City - this is basically the Johnny ending].
- "But if I return home [Mother Nature] to my dear native land [the great outdoors] then lost is my glorious renown [NC reputation], yet shall my life long endure, neither shall the doom of death come soon upon me."
This poem in my opinion is proof that the Aldecaldos ending is happy and that V will probably be cured in an expansion. Especially when it corroborates with what Misty says.
Just because an ending isn't happy at face value doesn't make it automatically bad! You need to pay attention to the little details.
