Well I am a fan of dystopia and Shadowrun CP's original design had my mouth watering. I also do not buy games very often anymore... each company relies on patching and testing with no testers. So, I usually wait a while before I buy anything anymore. I should have waited but it was a good game but overall was very buggy and boring at times. I believe Vice City had more content than CP. Hopefully, Shadowrun does a 1st person game similar to the 3d world of CP.

The other face of the problem makes lesser sense in my opinion:

why put the heist if they didn't want to make a dlc with it?

the Mp now is not a real thing FOR NOW (you cannot make an online mod in this actual state of the game) and you should take a look in the job area in the CDpr site

The game says so. To become a legend of Night City, you need to die on a super cool mission. When the screen goes off, you get an achievement. Legend of Night City.

mass effect 3 was a complete game and the pre endings dlcs fit very well

It was rushed, maybe not as badly as CP, but the side quests and nonsensical writing that never fir what ME1+2 established were clear indications...never plqayed the Pre DLCs though, what was the point? Shepard went out like an idiot anyway, contrary to what the other games, even game 3, portrayed her as...

wow you don't die.

V is alive in every endings except for one.

the six months thing is "let's leave the story open so we can deal with dlcs"

yea dying is common also but the aspects surrounding it are different (Panam, space, etc...) whereas, cyberspace stays the same regardless.

That's something I hadn't considered up until now: comming back from cyberspace would be a good explanation why V starts out the next game without any of their cyberware. Could also serve as an explanation why V might look different from their 2077 self since it's a new body.

Oh there are plenty of ways to have her return from pretty much most endings. Including Johnny ones. But that's not the problem. The problem is CDPR being interested in actually doing that.

While that statement makes sense it would mean CDPR would have to either

a.) develop every ending further to bring them to the same point to start off any DLC.
b.) Make one of the endings canon, invalidating the others.

I just can't see them wanting to deal with either of that.

Kinda regret playing only normal...at some point game just became cakewalking

It becomes that on Very hard as well, it's not the difficulty setting that is the issue, it's the combat mechanic and AI that is, I have only played on very hard, but would assume that on normal you simply reach "God mode" a bit faster than on very hard.

Personally not into that, but you have as many options as straight people have from what I know, might actually have more, depending on how many males there are in the game? Only know about River.

In my ending I didn't get the impression that V is going to die anytime soon, at least not before doing the whole spacestation thing. If she/he is about to die, it would be weird doing missions. But then again the timescale is slightly off, as they are trying to keep up the illusion of "pressure". I got the feeling that V was sick and not getting better unless she found a treatment, which I thought was the idea behind doing the casino mission for Blue eyes in an expansion or DLC.

Gay males actually have fewer options. Kerry is the only option for gay males. River isn't gay or bisexual. So a gay male can have a relationship with Kerry or paid fun with two available male joy toys. This is less than the available lesbian options. Gay women can have relations with Judy, two joy toys and have sex with Meredith Stout - something a gay male won't be in to.

You are assuming there would be a story after the heist but
  1. Space heist is literally a suicide mission, which shows that V doesn't care about life anymore
  2. Space heist could be happening on the 6th-month post the chip removal, so we don't actually know how much time V got left to live (could be a few days/hours)

I think you misunderstand. I think everyone here would like to see more of V's story. It's just people are a bit disillusioned how the story was concluded. To me it definitely didn't feel like an open ending tbh. I would like to play out those 6 months after going back to earth. But finding an actual cure seems very unlikely. I would love to have the chance to go out in a blaze of glory tho on my own terms. Not by following Jhonny's agenda.

I think there's potential to open it back up. You could do 3 or 4 prologues in the next game for the various ends where V is alive.

Since each of them would deal with V overcoming a potential fatal diagnosis or being loaded into a new body, each of those could pretty easily filter into a single unified main questline.

Now if you asked me what I think is more likely, it's that this was the end for V as a protagonist. However I dont think that's certain at all.

Edit: they'd have to consider the suicide and Johhny endings non-canon though ... you might be able to have a prologue where Alt loads V into another body, but I'm not confident that would work.

Everyone technically has one, and Corpo V’s get Meredith (I thought she was for male V only, but I haven’t played that route so I’m not sure.) The issue with it is Kerry (and River, honestly) felt last-minute slipped in and are both completely unimportant to the main story when compared to Panam and Judy. I played the game with people who didn’t even know Kerry existed outside the Johnny memories because they didn’t care about what Johnny wanted to do and ignored him.

Why not? CDPR were able to combine three beginnings into one mainplot, and there are only 5 endings to combine.

Oh, please don't misunderstand me. I am not saying they can't do it. I am saying they won't bother to do it.

What kind of expansion looks more likely in your opinion then?

For many people it will be hard to get hyped for expansions when they know how it will end for V anyway.

Expansions for this game are most likely to be pre-endgame IMO.

V's story continuing would almost certainly be in a sequel, if at all.
