Not really though, because the question whether Ctrl-V is a proper version of V or not is not relevant for the plot. If you were in V's place it probably wouldn't matter to you either, because even if you would see that copy as a proper version of yourself, it would still mean snuffing out your actual live, your consciousness, what you originally set out to prevent. Soulkiller is not a transfer of consciousness, Alt makes that very clear, and so it doesn't make any sense for V to just shrug his impending death off like that.
The best part is that my V hade 100 instantheal packs, dident even try using it on Jakie. And if Jackie dident hand over the chip to V, would we have been a bystander to Johnny/jackie the rest of the game?
Most likely V would have still left Jackie in the cab, gotten killed by Dex, but this time just rots in the landfill instead of waking up meanwhile Jackie wakes up wherever you sent his body.
The only ending where that would be even remotely feasible would be the one where you side with Arasaka. Arasaka doesn't care about you. You signed a pact with the devil and you paid the price.
In the other two options, you have no access to the Arasaka tech that would be needed to manufacture a replacement shard.
It isn't a plot hole just because you don't like it.

See, so now you push the goal post from it isn't possible because yadayada - to it's only possible if this happens.
So tell me this then -- why the hell would they even bother to send you to the space station? Why the hell would they even bother healing you and doing all these tests? Why the hell would they even waste time considering you for Mikoshi? They could have just let you die the moment you did your part.
The answer is because it's a plot hole, whether you like it or not.

They will use their prototype on someone who nuked their tower but for someone who saved them, nope? That is kind of a plothole. You side with the devil, you get judged by friends but you survive that could have been the ending.
Ah dident consider that... But your probably right. would have been the most useless game ever i guess... If nothing changes i think ill just have my V kill herself. Would be the most humane thing to do i guess. To everyone involved. If i hade a choise in the matter. i would become a construct beond the blackwall and fuck up everyone that fucked with V. Rebel to the end!
Long time Witcher 3 fan but created an account here just to post due to massive disappointment over the endings.
I want to rant to my friends who've bought the game too but they've yet to finish and I don't want to spoil it for them.
Whether CDPR intend it to be or not.
All of the endings are just so nihilistic for V.
All your struggle and your efforts to stay alive is just futile in the end.
Everything is meaningless.
My emotions right now is basically how I'd feel if I just had amazing sex with someone only to be told that they had a highly contagious STD.
Did I enjoy it while it happened? Yes.
Am I mad once I knew the whole story? VERY.
Would I do it again? NO.
Even the most worthwhile ending, joining the nomads and riding off into the sunset with Judy is depressing.
Just before they leave Night City, Judy opens up about how she never felt safe and at home in night city.
V promises her that she's found it now and gives Judy hope for the future, all the while knowing about that 6 months to death countdown.
This is absolute betrayal, once V dies, Judy would lose her "home" again and what little trust she had left for people will be gone.
to be honest the number of game devs i like is growing smaller each day. i hope cdpr dont end up the same fate as the other big boy AAA companies did (as in EA, Take Two, Activision, Ubisoft, etc.) if they do it will be a sad day indeed. as well as the day i "pull the plug" (translation: i take my funding/investments elsewhere customers ARE also investors too! however the grim reality of "all good things come to an end" saying remains true and true) on cdpr that is.

Exaclty, I felt shit already for being judged by Misty and Jhonny already, but I thought that was the price to pay. Nope... I dissapointed everyone for nothing... well shit..

I didnet think they would make a game with 0 rpg elements either... Same with bioware/blizzard and everyother gamecompany i have trusted in the past... They all fall eventualy.
Do you mean Takemura would have gone after his body? If so he might already have revived and since a gunshot to the head didn't damage and fuse the chip with Jackie he could probably just take it out afterwards, who knows? Either way V would be dead if Jackie kept the chip.

Because they can pull useful data out of you. You did spend a lot of time with the construct.
Like, this isn't a hard concept. Arasaka is evil. They used you and then they discarded you like a piece of trash, because they think you are a piece of trash. That's the whole point of that ending. You're in hell in the sky.
They didn't use the prototype for Johnny. Yorinobu stole the prototype and likely pulled Silverhand from Mikoshi onto the shard. He meant to hurt his father as much a possible.
again, I fundamentally agree with you on all of these points. and I'm really, really happy you liked it. however, for many of us here and across many other different platforms it wasn't meaningful, and all we are asking is for our issues with the endings to be acknowledged. I've already described Kingmaker's Nyrissa's hidden romance and ending as a subtle yet accessible way to make it happen.

Ну ты выдал), на русских форумах эта тема не так популярна, поэтому идем на английские
I understand you are here for a conversation and not to invalidate anyone's experiences, but your insistence on your point of view and attempts to make us sound like we are complaining for no reason kind of make that impression.

So why even let you go then? Why even ask for your permission to put you into Mikoshi? They didn't ask Johnny about that. And I would wager you are as much of a thorn in their side as he was in that case. They have nothing but risks for letting you go, and as you say they are evil so there is no point in that. Plot hole.
Let me make this clear -- I have nothing against sad endings or those that feel futile, but the way they went about this whole thing was contrived and seems to be pulled out of the ass whenever a quick explanation is necessary. There is no flow or rhythm to it, no sense or grounding to the story.
Isn't this essentially ship of Theseus? Soulkiller dismantles your original self by destroying the organic strata upon which it functions while at the same time reassembling you on the virtual strata?
It absolutely is, which is why the whole concept of whether the engram V is still V is not definitive, and anyone claiming otherwise is attempting to simplify an incredibly complex talking point.
The cyberpunk universe has arrived at a point of continued existence (in cyberspace). Alt achieved that but it has shaped and changed her entirely. That isn't to say that this process was immediate. Alt's change occurred over 50 years in a completely new environment. Of course she is going to change... how can you not in an environment like cyberspace?
This is the equivalent to the paths we take and how that shapes us going forward. If we subscribe to the concept of divergent timelines, there are probably versions of myself, apart from physical appearance, that are unrecognizable. My future self is a continuation of my past self. And my current self gives rise to my future self.
Is 5 year old me still 29 year old me? Besides some memories I have nothing in common with my 5 year old self. Consider the impermanence of memory - am I still me if I have my memory completely wiped? Is my grandfather still the same person if he has lost his memory to Alzheimer's?
V's transfer into a computer is no different from continued existence. We don't know how much this experience has changed him. If he remains he will likely develop a new understanding and perspective in the same way Alt has. Johnny is likely going to be unrecognizable since he wants to remain with Alt. What we do know is that the transfer has allowed V to retain his identity, memories, experiences, etc.
V staying or leaving cyberspace is simply continued existence.
