Why?

I don't get the hostility to Nomad since you live there and Arasaka because you become immortal. But I've said I don't have any respect for the interpretation you die in all of them.

Maybe but it gives them plenty of ways to continue milking the cow if they do plan to do a Cyberpunk Online-esque expansion.

Nah, Online will not be linked to existing story and characters, so they do not need to improve CP77 anyhow to make money through Online. That would be a pointless waste of time and labour, and CD Projekt now, with all that issues with Sony and more, will be making money, that's their top priority. And making money the most profitable and reliable way - Online, co-op and loot-boxes.

I'm personally not worried. You have yet to have a second encounter with someone who can offer some serious help.
Yorinobu Arasaka.

Wild Hunt had some good base game endings, but the REAL ending only happens in Toussaint, when the journey's over. I can live with that here.

Or even Saburo/Hanako if you side w them

EDIT: The best she can hope in my opinion for is realizing the whole allure of Night City is a lie, leaving with a new family looking for some hope at a life worth living.

And here the useless soap opera plot device comes in. 6 months (last several weeks not being able to get out of the bed and slowly fading away, while breaking your friends hearts) hardly is a life worth living. Especially when the whole thing is basically one big lore contradiction.

In the endings where V gets the terminal illness, it happened at the expense of lifes, personal injury (brain damage in alle endings due to being either partially overwritten or having arasaka dicing your brain) and more importantly the loss of friends. Johnny gets destroyed in the devil ending, only leaving nightmares. In the other endings, he joins alt and is bound to lose his humanity and become like alt over time.

Case in point: even without the plot-cancer, the endings would be bleak and definetly not a Hollywood ending where everybody is happy (because half of the people are dead or gone)

We trade in our possible friend for life but as the cherry on top, we only get 6 months. And those 6 months come at the expense of our loved ones, who have to witness us wither and die or by leaving everyone behind to board crystal palace.

If CDPR confirmed your words, the people here would have much calmed down.

Let’s just some some logical thinking alright?

1. CDPR likes money,
2. you want V to have a satisfying ending, one already partially defined by CDPR during the main game.
3. CDPR releases an expansion with a satisfying ending.
4. you give CDPR money for said expansion.
5. Profit.

Having experienced losses to terminal illness.....I pretty much disagree that I wouldn't move heaven and Earth for one more day with my loved ones, let alone six months.

Besides, V is an active force for good(ishness) in Night City.

Six more months means lots of lives saved and the world becoming a better place for their presence even in the story where they don't leave with the Aldecados and live a long happy life after they get a cure through whatever means they do.

What i meant is, depending onthose meters, the endings would be alteredwith different outcomes.
1. V cant live in the body anymore only Johnny can
2. V can live without time limit without Johnny
3. V and Johnny merge
4. Ones we have now
5. Johnny tries to take over the body by force

It's even worse.
Why not simply enter the station as a tourist? I mean people already know you and you could argue that you are visiting the station to spend you last months in utter decadence.
Perfect cover story for an entry.
Certainly better than to simply board a station with max security and that is owned by Esa.

I'm pretty sure that V is going to be on some no fly lists for terrorists given.....well, all the terrorism they do.

"FREEDOM FIGHTER!"

Shut up, Johnny.

I agree with thesis "CD Projekt wants money", but disagree about CD Projekt strategy. Firstly, do you have any statistics about how many people are indeed disappointed by current endings? I will not be surprised if it's just a mere percents of game's buyers.
Second, now, after all that scandal and troubles with Sony, stakeholders will demand CD Projekt to make money, in the reliable and profitable way - online, co-op and loot-boxes. So i think we will have free DLC with cars and gigs, a 1-2 big Blood and Wine expansions, completely unrelated to main plot and endings, and, at best, toothless unsatisfying free DLC like Extended Cut for ME3, no more.

I really doubt there will be any content, extending the plot after the endings or expanding the current endings themselves. There will be patches to bugs, some free DLC with cars and gear, a couple of big "Blood and Wine" stories, completely irrelevant to main plot and endings, and then CD Projekt will abandond single player and will milk CP Online.

World logic consists of holes. Personally i can't imagine the society and legal system, when you can openly raid megacorp tower, leave it and STAY IN THE SAME CITY OPENLY, and not change your identity and lay low in Tihuana.

Your hope for plot extension or endings expansion are very cute, but as in Warhammer, in cyberpunk hope is just a first step on a road to dissapointment.
For my opinion, magic boxes are just another signs of rushed content cuts before the release, as empty 6th attribute tab and many more.

Think the empty box has to do with the Techie tree that was supposed to be the third "class" The tech tree we have now is kinda gibbed. was supposed too keep the spiderbot as a companion kinda thing too

That's not what I had in mind with my post and it has nothing to do with curing the desease. It's about slowly fading away on your way to Arizona and in addition, the badlands are not just a fancy name for America's outback. It's really dangerous out there with the wraiths around.

You imply that V can safe people but they are simply moving to Arizona and hope to find a cure. This however contradicts the setting of "you can't safe the world, only yourself".

Getting the cancer treated is a strong motivation but highly out of the nomads capabilities. Even if they find somebody to cure the illness - why would they do this for a stranger? Only money or service come to my mind.

As i said, Blood and Wine campaigns in different locations, totally unrelated to main plot. Come on, give up your hopes of endings improvement and story extension, this will save you from further dissapointment.

And 6th Attribute should be Empathy, the measure of V's humanity. Many implants and treating people like shit will lead to low Empathy, affecting your lines and choices, eliminating the romance options and causing cyberpsychosis.

Thats a lot to change in the game where we dont rly got choices. Could be good idea maybe. But maybe it should not be affected by cyberware, since that would ruin gameplay a bit if you wanted to get a better ending.

And, of course, solo raid on Mikoshi is a plain power fantasy Conan-style, not cyberpunk.

Yeah, as i said many times, content cuts effectively killed the game as RPG.
