Mind you, my V killed about 5 people in the game.

And Cintra defeat wasn’t due to the fact that Calethe didn’t wa kept her end of the bargain and the Destiny that is the highest “goddess” in this universe decided to punished her?I mentioned that was one of the weird damn things about CPR. They lionized Foltest and Temeria when they are the WORST of the North and its kings. It was Foltest who betrayed Cintra after all.
Ditto for ignoring Cintra and acting like Emhyr didn't plan to rape his daughter for decades.
Yes, they do. Because they're meant to mean something in the world. They wouldn't be in the game if not for the fact that they mean something.

Nah, isn't the whole idea that there is no heroism in this universe? Noone says that Arasaka aren't "evil" or cold and calculative.Basically the idea that V, Jackie, and Regina Jones are heroic in any way versus just being street scum out for themselves.
Yeah, only kill those who deserve no better.Yep. Only people my V killed?
* Snuff Film Editors
* Jotaru the Snuff Film Maker
* Voodoo Boys (okay, more than five) for Evelyn
* Woodman
* Adam Smasher
Everyone else I left stunned on the ground for the police to deal with.
Well yeah because otherwise an endless stream of police spawns in and flatlines ur ass lolYeah, only kill those who deserve no better.
*cough* a-bombs in Japan *cough*
It saved lots of lives vaporizing thousands of people and watch the rest die of radiation sickness.
I guess the game has a certain way of telling us who deserves death.Well yeah because otherwise an endless stream of police spawns in and flatlines ur ass lol
Good question. . .What are we talking about?
That's your interpretation of Nilfgaard? No, Sapkowski showed them as abolutely vile. It's just that the North wasn't much better.
It's not Gray vs. Gray morality if both are irredeemable.
It's Black vs. Black.
There's a difference.
Emhyr still murdered his wife, invaded his wife's homeland, and planned to rape his daughter. He also crushed and murdered thousands in his conquests as well as supported terrorism with both mages as well as the Scoiatael. Because he couldn't go through with the rape doesn't mean he's still not a monster.
It just means he's not one dimensional.
despite everything the game tried really hard to make an Arasaka default choice and not even by fact.Nah, isn't the whole idea that there is no heroism in this universe? Noone says that Arasaka aren't "evil" or cold and calculative.
But in a world where hope is futile for a better world. Siding with the winning party, especially when they potentially have a cure for your terminal disease is a perfectly valid choice.
Not killing someone is kinda meaningless if you consider how many die to save Vs ass aynways.
+the people who defend the drill, that go up in flames while you are firing with the basilisk
+the nomads that die during that task
+all the people Alt roasted in the Arasaka tower
+all the people hoping for a second life, that got merged to Alt
Well you say that, but the narrative does a pretty clear job at making the Arasaka be the bad ending. You get scolded by Jhonny and Misty, you don't get to see any of your loved ones and then the devil card showing up in the puzzle.despite everything the game tried really hard to make an Arasaka default choice and not even by fact.
My male V choose of Panam for various reasons but i won’t consider him as my main.
Simply because I value Nomads too much and won’t ask them for a suicide mission that is storming Arasaka HQ.
Just no.
Especially if there are other options like make Arasaka fight Arasaka plus having no dealings with shady AI plus having guaranteed Johnny scrapping.
That is something that Johnny actually brings up in one of the more intelligent pieces of writing of the game. "Is this really worth it?"
It is also the justification for the suicide ending I believe too.
My V, being a transhumanist, doesn't think Alt killed anyone but kind of wishes she did. Because fuck Arasaka.
I wouldn't be surprised if the villain in Cyberpunk 2080 will be Saburo trying to take over Alt.
And the game shows Alt, Vik, Helman and others are saying exactly the contrary."I know you are but what am I?" Is not a good arguing tactic. The game shows Panam and company saying they'll find a cure, the Tarot shows it, and the game endings are shown as uplifting with uplifting presentation. You can say this is stupid and reject them--I encourage you to--but please stop acting like the authors intent is different than V living.
And the game shows Alt, Vik, Helman and others are saying exactly the contrary.
Besides, the merging in Deus ex is transcendance : Denton is still there. The merging with alt is not, it's assimilation : V is gone, Alt is still there. And if you followed what the program "secure your soul is" or what the soulkiller actually does, there is no way you become a god of a demon in the matrix.
I understand that you draw your own conclusions, but just as yours assertions about the NET in cyberpunk, they are not valid.
I agree.
If I rewrote the game, it wouldn't be six months to live. I'd have Vic say you had six months to live (maybe less if you exert yourself--which you obviously must). That way you could justify your V taking on all of those operations to score Eddies and contacts while you're researching a cure.
Ten years sounds reasonable.
