I haven't play NV so Idk about that, it could have been done better or it could be just as bad, but I haven't heard any complaints about Its ending so I assume that it's not as bad. Either way, two wrongs don't make a right

I feel like people don't realize this post is directly suggesting how to modify the endings of the game with Mods.
I'm saying if you want to fix them with a Mod, incorporate a shard that says such.

The only reason for me not to be able to play is if my character is "dead", but since many here are claiming that V is "alive" then why can I not play? Even selecting the "go back to earth" option in the Arasaka ending should bring you back to NC cured, but it doesn't
Actually, it would be that you can't play them because all the missions are written from a Pre-Endgame perspective with Johnny in your head.

Those missions are badly written and designed then. But, since Johnny doesn't play a major role in those missions anyway, I prefer to assume that the devs just didn't bother to remove him for post-ending gameplay. Which is btw what I said in my first post here
