Do you want more RPGs with happy endings?

Personally, i was quite happy with the ending in this game... bittersweet endings are the best, and feeling you have after such experience lasts a lot longer than a happy ending.... Ending in Cyberpunk 2077 reminds me a lot Sucker Punch movie which had excellent sacrifice ending but many people did not got the message of it either...
This “edgy wannabe-ends-up poor Inception rip off” from Zack Snyder? Emily Browns few action sequences that are cool but dump as brick were the only good parts of this “movie”.

Wouldn't you have to take apart every mission and recode them?
Johnny is mostly viewed in that background and doesn't interact with the characters of the missions. Hell, most characters don't notice when you talk to Johnny. I assume those missions were made before this decided to cram him into every corner

That summs it up.

What i am still missing is, why Arasaka/Yorinobu doesn't care about us after the Heist, i mean after the send Assassins that somehow convinced Takemura that we didn't kill Saburo:shrug:
Yorinobu is a gentleman, providing you a fair chance to finish your business and die in peace)

Cyberpunk isn’t about saving humanity, it’s about saving yourself,” says Pondsmith

Totally fine for me, just let me accomplish that outside my headcanon and i am happy.
Mike Pondsmith introduced himself in a very interesting way back in 2018

I think Johny doesn't want this, he's ready to join Alt. And then he got no decency or guts to tell friends of V that V's dead. Most terrible ending among terrible endings. In that case why can't both Johny and V enter cyberspace? (
I think so too, I disagreed with Johnny for most of all dexision and even told him I disn't catch a bullit for him when he presented the dogtags. Even after all that he still offered to sacrifice himself for my V to live. So I also think he wants to go to cyberspace. His "arrogance" may direct him to think he becomes godlike. But if not minding that, I think he want to remain with Alt above all else. Remember that she's also portrayed as the girl that got away. Can be a strong incentive to his offer.

And I bet Pondsmith don't imply the salvation of V's soul)
Which is totally fine. I'm actually glad that the soul speek has remained as vague as it has.
It allows you to view the V after she visits the well as the same old V from before.
We know its not 100% but since we do not know what the impact of that soul is in-game, its of little consequence. Or at least you can choose to view it as such.

Its like I said before about the apple.

So, I've done something I didn't initially wanted to do. Re-installed the game to finish some more NCPD Events. Just to have an excuse to drive around NC while listening to Artemis Delta.

And man... it just doesn't work with V coughing and glitching constantly. Just makes me feel bad again.

Also, the rapid drop in players isn't really surprising. I am assuming quite a few will want to wait for patches in the hopes of things getting better. Others have the same problem we do, considering on gog almost 90% have chosen the Arasaka ending. Which is just as unsatisfying as the rest (But I am biased, I consider it the 2nd worst, but that's just me personally).
Why would people come back? Well... I don't have an answer for that. Certainly not for MP alone though.

Limbo 'tis what we get.

I actually believe that the endings will have a negative impact on the multiplayer. If players are unhappy with the game why would they return for the multiplayer?

Seems like cdpr didn't think that far ahead

I feel like people don't realize this post is directly suggesting how to modify the endings of the game with Mods.

I'm saying if you want to fix them with a Mod, incorporate a shard that says such.

Why would I write up a headcanon?

I am very confused.

I don't see any other way to modify the Endings.
No ofc not.
the endings were meant to stay this way, and we can only hope that since CP77 is the new NMS they will need to milk/fix the game as long as Hallo did.

So they will need to retcon them. Tho easier would be just to remove the lines that points to the plot-cancer rather then introduced another plot device out of nowhere.
Like TW3 had probably no plot devices or max 1-2 in the at least 50h long MQ and is considered to be one of the best story in RPGs ever.
This game in 15h MQ has already 5 of them and is a mess. It really doesn’t need any more.

Just reading the official description in the Xbox store.

It's still listed under role play but it's stated as an open-world-action-adventure.
