If they get something important enough in return. V did defeat Oda, kill Adam Smasher and launch a full blown assault on Arasaka. That's a lot to accomplish for a young merc.
Especially the DNA bullshit is hurting my head, when gene therapy is so common in the world of cyberpunk.. In addition. If the body was changed to fit to the new host, the new host better get used to sit on the toilet. Or did I miss something here?
This whole DNA bs is absolutely dumb in the light of the cyberpunk universe.
1. In this ending you blow up their HQ - so no Save your Soul. But if you settle as the new "Best fixer" you have contacts. There is also Mr. Blue Eyes with his proposition.
2. Some pages ago someone mentioned Biotechnica that works with genetic modification - so they can go with applying their knowledge to prepare a new body for V's engram - if we go with that it's DNA fault.
For me it would be great if they retcon the world stage of all endings to be a one, and then go with Act 3, 4
Arasaka Tower can be blown by Yorinobu in the despair, Arasaka can or is badly hit by his blind kill-all order.
Mikoshi can be rebuild because backup (Hanako is known that can do this, and btw can survive can).
But it is not about whether it is the most played game, but about that huge drop of interest. We are all optimistic, and waiting for NMS style return - no doubt.
imminent , inevitable ... These are judgments. I've heard this shit many times in ME from Reapers. In the end, they were proven wrong.)
But where about the fact that there is really no cure? They are not, because Alt herself has no idea about the cure.
This is not a paper game. Most players don't care about the paper game and its rules. Although I doubt that even there is any mention of Alt has extensive knowledge of modern experimental medicine.
There is no Pondsmith involved. That is another lie from CDPR.
Fact is, he is, and Cyberpunk 2077 rest heavily on Cyberpunk P&P settings and lore. I frankly don'(t care much what you believe Alt is able or not. You can do your homeworks and look for details in the P&P ressources. But to me, you're simply lying to yourself to stay true to your belief.
Therefore, we need to wait for the continuation of the plot, and not guess. Anything can happen in the dlc, since V is alive, and he still has time. It all depends on the cdpr.
About starting badlands location. Some time ago I was curious if it's possible to cross the border to the Nomad starting location, and I got a strong "You shall not pass" message - Border Patrol practically insta-kill me in the car. I was 38/39 lvl and I try to shoot one of them to the head with a sniper rifle from Panam maxed out for level- with 50% augment for head damage in Kiroshi - it took 2 headshots to kill the guard. Then full squad took me in a minute where I had over 3k armor. Just one last test for fun before leaving the game.

In order to maximize my time there while I could I've been sniffing around a lot to see how far I could go away from that small town, the tower and the meeting spot... You're veery constricted there also. And, while going up and down that road several times through the town they also nearly oneshot me when I got close again. You're really not welcome there after that initial garage thing. And while I was on the tower with the radio in my hand I saw another Nomad drive on the far side of the town. That was quite neat.
But with that I think I'm going a bit off topic.
So I guess I best hit the brakes here and come back to discussing the endings...

Even simple TBC as I said some time ago or last screen for credits with apologies "We're sorry 'bout what we have delivered. Keep in mind that it is not the end V's story..." - you get the idea- would buy devs the time.
