I think CP77 would only win if were NOT open-world adventure, but rather like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided or the original Mafia.
Story missions, and in-between — limited, pre-written activities, side-jobs included.
For example, after the Heist V must go undercover, because Arasaka ninjas are searching him to take back the Relic etc. So V must hide in one small area at time, where local fixer hide V in return for some jobs completion. Main plot is developing, and V moves to new areas to hide, because, for example, previous area is compromised and local fixer can'r protect him anymore.
Each and every gig and job have reason — work for local fixer in return for his protection. Each location has a major NPC like Panam, River, Judy or Kerry, whom V can help or not. I would probably add some game mechanic of V's cover — hitting the citizens with your car, open firefights and other noize would decrease your Cover meter, and if it's zero, game over. And some jobs and gigs could also decrease or increase V's Cover meter.
That approach would allow devs to reroute their time and effort from open-worldness (which they failed) towards plot, characters and sidequests.

Yeah, and at the time they solve technical issues, most of us will already let go this game. There will be no substantional protest against the endings so CDPR will see no reason in additional work.
They may release some form of Remaster, will cut content restored and better endings, but in 5-7 years, to sell Cyberpunk 2077 once more)
So CP77 2.0

Yeah, and defeated Arasaka in Legend ending sounds completely wrong and out of character, so to speak)

We've been promised missions in other areas outside of NC back in 2018(

Out of character? HOW?? when game started, Dex asked V if he prefers to go in a blaze of glory or die old and alone... it was always about being first for V... and that ending is precisely a Blaze of Glory thing to do..

Nope, he is the main star of the game.
It’s about fighting with Johnny against corporation, V is his/her desperation is dooming who? Johnny (don’t worry V is going to get punished for this transgression) or this is about Johnny redemption (or V but who cares). Or if Johnny will get a body he will live happily ever after, if V will keep it a/he will die in 6mo no matter what (in the guide they are using “still going to die in 6mo”)
Maybe V will die, maybe not, we don't know yet.
But we know it's not Johnny's fault. He did not insert this chip, and he does not control what the chip does.
Therefore, I see no reason to pour out negativity on this character. Which, in my game, by the way, tried with all his might to save V.

my V was definitely too intelligent to want to become a legend just for the heck of it. He wanted to make a living and have some adventures with the Afterlife crowd, not die in a stupid blaze of glory. That's totaly juvenile. Just having two options and nothing in between is lazy and unrealistic. That's what I was super surprised to see my V get railroaded into space douche in the don't fear the reaper ending.

i was also surprised with completely random using plot armor. In different endings biochip is behaving when it’s plot convenient not because its just a biochip that has one way as behaving. Later ofc since V is no longer needed we learn thar s/he run out completely of the plot armor.

"fighting together aganist corporations" Yeah this Jhonnys game all along

Mine had a similar moment when she realized, nope, this isn't the right thing to do.
But I started as a nomad and ended it as a nomad. While constantly being the best person the game would allow me to play.
With very few exceptions. But kicking the terrorist out was guaranteed from day one. It was interesting enough having him in her head but he was unable to save himself. And now the game wants me to give up on V to save the douche as well... nyet, F that. What was the reward for 2 people learning important lessons? Ya better be happy dying almost immediately!

First of all, V hadn't the chance to choose blaze of glory or the quiet life. I, as a player, have the freedom to choose, so i chose quet life. Because glory and fame are the dreams of teenagers, not knowing a shit about real life, really grown man cares not for glory.
Mike Pondsmith himself, creator of Cyberpunk, said, that in this world you can't save the world, you can only save yourself. Yet in some endings V's action lead to Arasaka major setback, whereas V himself is doomed to die within 6 months. Which is complete violation of Pondsmith's idea.
Secondly, assault on Mikishi solo or with just a couple of comrades is a complete power fantasy without any realism at all, i don't believe this bullshit. That's why i chose Nomad ending - there V at least attack the Mikoshi with considerable fighting cadre. But for some reason decision to leave/stay in city is made alongside with selection of friends V is going to Mikoshi with. Why can't V assault Mikoshi with nomads, and then stay in city, or vive versa - if V managed to successfully assault Mikoshi alone or with Rogue, why should V stay in NC after that? Perhaps i wanted to deal with Mikoshi alone (though it's power fantasy), not risking my friends, and then join nomads, because my V cares not about glory?'
That's why all the endings are incomplete, out of character and bereft any logic and real choices.

The secret ending is not meant to be won by normal players. It's a glorified suicide ending.

I didn't play the final mission with Johnny and Rogue, that's why I was referring to don't fear the reaper. But since the two endings are esentially the same (minus Rogue living)...still doesn't make any sense. Space douche V is totally ooc for a V that isn't as naive anf gloryhungry as Jackie was.

Many ended the game with Arasaka's ending.
And I did not see wars with corporations, except for the last mission, in the game.
But official guide for CP77 says that you are fighting with Johnny against corporations.
Books like this are mostly done in collaboration with writers are extras explaining plot are usually written by writers, so this implies that this is the stance of the game.

Its not bad as an idea. Other Worlds has a clear anti corporation agenda but this was hammered down throughout the story, yet at the end you had a choice to side with those corporations.

Here game was about survival whiel endings are about corporations and Johnny. even no word about biochip or did V survive.

The official guide is full of crap.
I can only regard this as an ending for Johnny when he leaves with Alt.
It was supposed to be a "middle" ending, covering the story of one character. Next should be the development of the ending for V, but instead - open endings. Either there was not enough time, or it became no longer interesting to do, and the CDPR simply abandoned it.
Although there is still hope for dlc.
