the movie itself was a parody of a real movie lel
Still better than this.

I feel a bit sad for Keanu. He joined, because he was asked to be a part of a large cyberpunk story. He is not a gamer so he can easily be fooled that this is actually a good game.

His reputation really suffered from this.

I dont think his reputation suffered or will be suffering. He did good job with voice acting. CDPR is to blame here. Their last minute changes, destroying core story for a star etc. I havent seen anyone complan for him being in the game, people are just pissed CDPR lied everyone about true story in the game

Nobody says that is KR fault that the all endings are bad, incomplete and their not finalize anything other than that act 2 ends...

Given that the brain tumor saved your life from being shot in the head, the logic there isn't actually that good.

Mind you, my head V did think several times, "Is this all a dying dream?"

I also liked the characterization that Johnny walks the walk and will never entertain for a second a desire to live again at the expense of an innocent(ish) man or woman's life.
It saves you only to kill you in 6mo, and we can only hope that there will be a dlc that will fix this all.

About Keanu I love him as an actor but for me this wasn’t best role for him, just like it wasn’t role for Rayn Gosling.
I doubt that he was the problem as a person. If any maybe lack of assertiveness from CDPR when he asked for more lines, but he is not responsible for the flop of this story.

I mean Act 2 is rather completed, question why Act 3 is just one mission that trigger ending in the chain events.
Then game suffers terribly from lack of choice that is mind boggling since today it’s a standard from Assasins Crreed Valhalla to CoD Cold War.
Here only two choices at the end - Arasaka is doing ok/V is dead in 6mo or trapped for eternity in Mikosi
Arasaka is doing badly / v is dead in 6mo in badlands or sonner when doing yet another suicide run

In TW3 you could make world choices with rippling effects, and chose the fate for the MC and side characters.
Here are only rails with mere hope that since this game is disaster they will make more parts of it.

Premise of the game is great I think that cut content if finished would make this game a true gem and one of the games of the generation.

I disagree as I feel like Keanu was perfect for his interpretation of Johnny Silverhand. I hated the idea they would play up Johnny Silverhand as a manic character because the interpretation in the game is a guy who WANTS TO DIE. He makes it clear he was suicidal 50 years ago when he attacked Arasaka and the crushing guilt of the bombing only added to the feeling. There's some genuinely amazing moments with him like when he gives you his friend's dog tags. Is there perhaps too much of him in side-quests?

Yes.

But he's my 2nd favorite role for Keanu after Johnny Mnemonic.

I've said you probably live in most endings so many times before I'm sick of it and am not going to bother repeating myself. However, I also point out you can become an immortal cyber-being with Alt. I just replayed the Johnny ending and if you ask Alt what she'd do, she makes it clear you're NOT getting eaten by her. She's eating Johnny but you can go with her beyond the Blackwall as your own engram.

CDPR recruted Keanu because he is Johnny Mnemonic. And the whole game is like a parody of a movie.
Longo's Johnny Mnemonic was released in 1995.
Most Cyberpunk 2077 buyers were not even born at that time, and a large part not even a project...

Going with Alt is death, that is one clear thing. No more story, no nothing. V is dead.

Keanu was ok for this Johnny silverhand.
Angry, cynical, bitter. Perfect fit.

In addition, the fans of cyberpunk treated him like cyberpunk-Jesus and now they are looking for proof that he is the reason the game went to shit.

It was not keanis fault the game was rushed. It was not his fault the ending sucks.

You realize that it's the ENDING OF THE GAME, right?

That's like saying, "Link killing Ganon is death! No more story, no more nothing! The Princess is saved!"

You being an immortal badass fighting beyond the Blackwall isn't bad as an epilogue, which all the game endings will be.

Johnny was alone and active in mikoshi for over 50 years.

It's a wonder he is not totally insane.

This is a fate worse than death. An engram has to stay active or it turns into old milk. Imagine being alone with only yourself for over 50 years.
That's cyberhell. Just like being merged with Alt.

1. Johnny said time didn't exist and he wasn't aware of what was going on.

2. You would hardly be alone merged with countless other minds.

3. You don't merge with Alt. I literally just said this five posts ago. You can confirm it by going to your game and asking her, "What would you do, Alt?"

You are dead in most if not all endings (since I don’t know what they mean by writing about “you are still given no more than 6mo to live) or end up inside places from where you will never get out.

If they will retcon the endings it will be different story

You are not being immortal beyond blackwall, you just exist there as something that is not human, just ones and zeros. Regular death seeems a lot better ending than cyberspace.

Ask her in the Johnny ending and she clarifies she's not absorbing you.
Me being all powerful AI diety, I would definetly say I wont consume you for more power.

1. You will get out of cyberhell when you get your new body. Hanako is a woman of her word.

2. Beyond the Blackwall is a world of its own.

Alt points out that the more you experience the Net, the more real it becomes. Hence why on your last run the Net becomes "normal" and the rooftop seems real.

Thankfully, you're not her.

By meaning of 6mo to live does not mean you CERTAINLY dead. Let me ask you question: "If you are given 6 months of life will you go for cure or just take for granted there is no rescue?". This is what Johny have to say by "Never stop fighting V" when you go to well. If you pass when there is still the chance you already lost the fight. Alt says that she is not aware of cure not there is no cure for sure.
