i know that i watched the PnP lore videos from Youtube and know he (saburo) is an evil cunt (but he still loves his son despite that as the tv trope describes him as: even evil has loved ones). it's just that the character (V) and not us (the audience) believes Yorinobu is also an evil cunt worse than his dad (quite the opposite in the PnP he actually wants to take down Arasaka but since taking it down from the outside was ineffective he needs to kill it from the inside) same with Hanako (in the PnP she used to be a sweet girl who hated her dad's "schemes" but now she turned into an evil cunt!) takemura too he is such a nice likeable guy and proves not every corpo is an evil cunt but if you don't side with arasaka as it is now he kills himself and tells you to burn in hell. there is no option to convince him to leave the company so he can "live for himself, work for himself". so like i said not enough time for fleshed out characters here.
So that is what I wrote some pages ago - If "endings" are just chapter final they can stay as is. If there is no further story - CDPR just wasted potential.
I've just replayed Mikoshi part for some clarification. On one hand, Alt says that V is dead, but on the other hand she said there is high integrity of DNA. Also, she stated that she did not take one thing into her diagnosis "Human factor". Also after 50ish years, Alt was gone rouge. Would you believe AI, especially rouge AI there is no other way? AI just take ones and zeros into calculation, not half bits. Ofc 50 years is enough to absorb knowledge of informatics, chemistry, biology etc, but that Alt AI has to have some interests to absorb that knowledge.
As an engineer, I can tell you that if you put some data into AI classification such as diagnosis you will get only the interpretation of the result of this diagnosis. Nothing more, nothing less.
The pacing in act 2 is off
Act 3 is shorter than most games prologue.
The epilogue is a disgrace to the plot.
Skillsystem is repetitive and only offers +damage in some way, shape or form
Crafting is boring and repetitive
Driving is not fun
cybernatics dumbed down
Lootgame from mass effect 1.
The game is a mess beyond technical problems but atm, they only see the technical side and then this has been fixed, not enough people will be around to question the rest.
For me technical problems are even a saving grace for this game, PC and next gen players are just happy that it works far better than on old gen consoles. Old gen consoles wait till the game will be working.
CDPR has meanwhile time to start adding content along with patches.
NMS works on old gen but it was bare bone and full of bugs.
But besides bugs this game in world mechanics is far from TW3, quests are much shorter and superficial (with very few to make a difference). MQ is not even in the same star system that TW3 is, lack of gwent like games (AC Valhalla has one easy game but still).
No barbershop/plastic surgeon; lack of styles (prolly due to lack of skeleton rig for V), 2010 UI of the most
I doubt that few hundred people with 350mln$ budget for 4 years would only do this.
Rather that engine was so bloated with features that is was like x86 Skyrim with 200 modes activated without LOOT and cleaning.
So they end up switching most things off, cut most of it from the base release.
Act 1 require severe redo, along with proper Act 3, act 2 can stay with endings being its climax.

With current trend In 2040 I doubt that there will be physicians besides maybe surgeons. Rest of the medicine will be done by AIs. Progress is enormous, first will fall radiology followed in few years by clinical medicine.
So Alt knows what she is saying. She might be most competent being in medicine by this time.
Cyberpunk needed to be like Witcher 3 in the sense that there were great characters and voiceacting, phantastic sidequests, unique world design and meaningful choices in that game. And it would have to make use of the predefinded lore-rich world of the PnP the same way Witcher 3 did with the books. So yes, I think most people simply wanted a game with the same quality as Witcher 3 but set in a different world.
And while I love Witcher 2, I think Witcher 3 is its superior in most ways.

I am or better was, a next gen player. While it ran smoothly most of the time, it's the current xbox one x enhanced build with some minor tweaks.
I say that I was, because I refunded. I was unable to still play on Xbox, because my cyberware and all but the standard quick hacks are not working anymore.
The console versions in general are a mess.
I will gladly buy the game again if the dlc and expansions enhance story and mechanics beyond technical issues.

I repeat, you don't merge with Alt. You can ask what happens to you by asking, "What would you do, Alt?"
She says what life beyond the Blackwall will be like.
Alt - "You should come with me. I was a netrunner. I understood how to survive. I cannot speak for you. Beyond the black wall dangers lurk. It is no sanctuary. But it's better to be a free spirit shredded than to wither, trapped in a dying body."
Johnny - "don't do it V. You been running from this all along. It will change you. You won't be you anymore."
And, when Johnny jumps, Alt says :
Alt - "You will become a part of me as V's body and former life are restored."
Which is in line with the following lines, and contradicts somewhat the rest :
V. - "You still plan to obliterate Mikoshi. What about everyone locked away there ?"
Alt - "I will free them. Take them with me."
V. - "Cut the crap. You'll gobble them up like so many morsels of code, make them part of you."
Johnny - "As if they could hope for something better. C'mon."
Of these 3 parts, I see only 2 outcomes.
V. is a netrunner in league with Alt or Rache Bartmoss (yeah, right!) and V. as some pretty good chance as a free spirit in the net (meaning an AI in itself) or V. is not a top notch netrunner (more than likely) and V.'s lifespan just got drastically shortened.
And, merging with Alt is indeed dying.
