Yeah, i would wait 5-7 years but get a game that may be.Whole game needs more work. I think they needed like one more year to finish half of the things that were promised

Understandable, but tbh i feel like whole Johnny's arc is like sub story that could be skipped and game wouldn't loose much.Sorry for my overzealous tantrum there![]()
are you sure about Jackie's death? The only 'issue' I had with Jackie's death at its core is that he only died when the car stopped at its destination. Maybe this could be attributed to a bit of gameplay that the convo lasted as long as the ride. But narratively it felt a bit silly.
Other than that I can accept that scene for what it was and it was done tastefully.
That is not to say that V could've done more if it were explored that tad deeper. I can see that reasoning.

I wish they just took it. All I can sayWhole game needs more work. I think they needed like one more year to finish half of the things that were promised
depends how you define the game... if for you, game is just a map with lots of gigs and ncpd stuff on it, then yes... but for actual story, Johnny arc is fundamental.Understandable, but tbh i feel like whole Johnny's arc is like sub story that could be skipped and game wouldn't loose much.
Not really sure what you're referring to with "are you sure".are you sure about Jackie's death?
If I remember correctly, he gives you the chip, dies and then the screen goes dark. After a while you hear Delamain say that you have arrived. I took that as V being shocked and not noticing the passing time.
curiously enough, my problem with that scene is that I just don't care about Jackie at that point. There's just no real connection between V and Jackie outside of that montage.
I'd buy it if you killed rich people.Police: Can't handle the crime in NC.
Also police: Can spawn in hundreds just behind you.
I think that whole biochip thing was there as a part of the story, later due to lack of time changed to be the story, for better or worse.Understandable, but tbh i feel like whole Johnny's arc is like sub story that could be skipped and game wouldn't loose much.
It wasn't a shock but Jackie is easily one of my all time favorite video game characters. Like Obi-Wan Kenobi, you don't need much time to get attached. Not really sure what you're referring to with "are you sure".
As far as having a connection with him. I'm okay enough with it. I got enough out of any of it make some sort of connection. Seeing as how it was still the beginning of the game I though is was fine.
Sure if you wanted, there was always more that could've happened to make you care more, making that half year montage playable for instance.
I will admit it also wasn't much of a shock because of how that heist job was sold... Jackie's gonna get whacked, count on it.... Yeah we saw.
Jacki as a concept is definitely material for the one of the best side kicks in games. Yet it is completely wasted potential, done probably to make room for Johnny. It wasn't a shock but Jackie is easily one of my all time favorite video game characters. [Edit]
Let me say it like this: off all the things been commented on. The Jackie death-thing is bottom of my list as far goes issues or worse
Uh, yeah, of course they killed him to make room for Johnny. It's a major motivation for V that they've just lost their best friend and now have a new one that they may want to die for.Jacki as a concept is definitely material for the one of the best side kicks in games. Instead of wholesome nice Jacki we get the jaded psycho who killed 0,5 mln people.
Not a “best deal”
In a setting where any organization with even a modicum of power or influence are portrayed as mustache twirling evil, not really.Isn't that a good enough reason?
That's why you're an Edgerunner. So you fight the world! In a setting where any organization with even a modicum of power or influence are portrayed as mustache twirling evil, not really.
"mustache twirling evil" I laughed...thank youIn a setting where any organization with even a modicum of power or influence are portrayed as mustache twirling evil, not really.
Ah okay. Its how I currently remember it. I though the car was already where it needed to be. If I misremember than thats on me."The only 'issue' I had with Jackie's death at its core is that he only died when the car stopped at its destination. Maybe this could be attributed to a bit of gameplay that the convo lasted as long as the ride."
This is what I'm referring to. My impression was that he didn't die when the car stopped, but that he died, V was frozen for several minutes, car arrives at destination and Del "wakes" V back up, with the information that you have arrived at the destination.
Eh, I live in Kentucky where the local chemical plant used to dump its runoff in the river and hired thugs to beat up reporters."mustache twirling evil" I laughed...thank you
This is also called "reality"...In a setting where any organization with even a modicum of power or influence are portrayed as mustache twirling evil, not really.
