I ain't gonna pick no options..because they won't show up when you import the game:
Witcher 1 & 2 Decision spoilers
Full Non human Witcher 1&2 save game import with all quests completed:
Witcher 1: Abigail - Triss romance and Alvin given to her - pro non humans completely - helped Yaevinn - Didn't kill Siegfried

Witcher 2: Aryan Alive - Iorveth Path - gave sword to him/saved mottle chapter 1 - Stennis alive - Triss saved - Sile alive - Cynthia alive - Letho Alive - Iorveth saved from Kaedwenn and took Phillipa's dagger (dead characters don't make cameos).

First playthrough gonna go Non human and romance Yennefer (canon playthrough).second will go with human Roche and go Triss romance.

My plan is to do 100% on both playthroughs (then I decide on the third one..most likely Pro Nilfgaard).

I dont know if all the decisions you made on W1 and W2 will be imported i think just the main ones like in the video i linked thats all you are going to get since the only platform you can actually import the save files is the PC and they want all platforms to have the same experience and that was why they implemented that "quest" anyway

^ There is going to be flavor text and dialog..there has been at least 5-6 dialogues I remember that references decisions from Witcher 1 to Witcher 2..alongside with a quest (Scent of Incense).

CDPR has done this every game if you import your save..and trust me on this one..it's better if you import a save game that you played rather than use the in game system to choose. There is a lot of information on your choices and what quests you finished by that autosave you import that they have created cameos or dialogues or even side quests to reference them...content to which people that haven't won't meet in W3.

I dont think that is going to happen what if the player got the game for PS4 there is no importing and they have said experience on all platforms will be the same

@Khaos-51: It doesn't matter..Witcher 2 wasn't on playstation either. This will be specifically made for the PC crowd who played the previous two games and are importing the game.

Like I said..36 different world states..just imagine one of them to have characters and cameos and dialogues tailored to specific decisions in previous games that will appear. I will point these out after I finish the game two times on 100% completion.

I started a Witcher 2 play-through today to make sure I had all the options I wanted. I wanted to make sure I had a TW2 save with a TW1 save imported just in case it recognizes whether Adda is a live or dead.

That last part is false. If you don't import a save game you still get to choose the choices Geralt made in TW1 and TW2 during TW3's tutorial.

EDIT: The only choice we know for a fact you can only get by importing a save is whether or not you Geralt has the blue stripes tattoo from TW2: Act 1. I 'spose there might be others (like whether or not Adda is dead.)

I wouldn't necessarily call it false. We don't really know the true effects of that Q&A. Is it on par with importing? Importing might indeed give us more flavor since the game has more to choose from.

That said, I wouldn't expect too much from either system.

I doubt that will happen. It would be waaaayyyyyyyy too much effort for content most people will never see.

Also... you have to remember all the 36 world states really means is that there are four choices in the game that alter the ending: two with 2 options and two with 3 options (2 x 2 x 3 x 3 = 36 possible combinations of options.) Compare this with Witcher 2 which had 16 possible endings (2 x 2 x 2 x 2.) Long story short, it's not like there are 36 totally-distinct-from-each-other endings.

IIRC choices from TW1 do not carry over.

I will attempt a hard playthrough and see if I can beat the game without using the sword. Haven't seen the alchemy tree yet but the goal is signs, bombs, crossbow, daggers only.

@Kinley Yeah, I know. I wanted to make sure I had an imported save just in case though.
