im waiting for the english translations of the books, made by orionbooks-uk.
but if you know something then do share it, im basing what i say upon the point ive reached which is "baptism of fire".

Whoever she wants to marry. Her choice, u cant force anything on her, if u try tho then u better be sure she likes your choice. :)

Good call. Do not read the fan translations. They are horrendous! Half the book and all the tone is lost in translation.

alot would be lost even with a good polish -> english translation, there is simply no way to capture the nuances of one language in another language, how ever yes, a professional translation would be the closest best thing, though the fan translations deserve be noted for the effort invested in them.

Despite the fact that Ciri was his daughter and only child, he wanted to marry and have a child with her, because as Ithline's prophecy said, Ciri's child would rule half the world, and the son of her son would rule the whole world.

It's not that Emhyr had weird sex behaviour, but he always proud to everything that connect directly to him.
If Ciri had a child with someone else. mean the "Hero Father" would be Ciri's husband, and he dislike that fact and want to be He, the Hero's Father that conquer Half of the world, and also he became the grandfather of the Emperor who conquer the world.

And by default, if you care about this fact, means by allowing Geralt make Ciri to be the Empress, you just allow Ciri to bedding with her own blood father, Enjoy THAT decision.

Repeat after me: Book characters are not game characters.

Also it's not even consistent with the books, Emhyr abandoned that plan and let Ciri go in the books.

....You know since Ciri's so powerful, it's literally impossible to rape her right?

"Hey Ciri come here."

*she teleports*

"Well that plan failed."

Emhyr's not stupid and wouldn't force himself on her. He's content as long as she's running Nilfgaard. Anyone who becomes the consort of the new Empress will have to be chosen by Ciri herself. And if the nobles or anyone else don't accept her choice she can always tell everyone to screw off and just ditch her job by teleporting to wherever Geralt chooses to hole up, or another dimension altogether. And like DuranA pointed out, a lot of things from the books don't factor into the games.

If this particular discussion didn't follow the books story ... Than there are no reason why Geralt hate Emhyr to the grave. The reason Geralt hate Emhyr, and vice versa, was because of this very reason.

The more powerful an Empire, the more support from the Nobles. And the Noble did like if the Emperor had a bright vision and tactical genius. But if the Emperor is powerful human beings, the noble hate this kind of leader, because they cannot control it, if the leader had different decision than theirs.

Conclude, for Ciri to became an Empress, Emhyr had to use his own influence to vouch for her. To get Emhyr's vote, Ciri had to do that. If Ciri decline to do that, Emhyr won give his vote and the Nobles are right under his Influence.

Maybe you all want to live in happily ever after witcher's world. But remember what Foltest did. Those people on hierarchy are mad as F@#$.

Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon Thyssen

This is probably just a theory or misinformation, but if she were to be married I think it makes the most sense.

I read that she marries Tankred Thyssen in 1277. They have 3 children, Esterad II and 2 others (perhaps Geralt Thyssen?), and Tankred dies in 1329 at age 82.

Tankred turned Kovir and Poviss into a safe haven for sorceresses and has been groomed by them from an early age. He's also not much older then Cirilla, who was born in the 1250's. His comfort level and understand of magic, morality and overall do-the-right-thing agenda, I think makes them compatible. He has two older sisters and if he's anything like his father, said to have truly loved his wife/queen and never to have cheated on her, Ciri would likely appreciate his loyalty.

From the little we get to see or read, it seems that Tankred has a backbone, he's not afraid to do what he thinks is right, and he has all the resources available (Kovir is the richest nation on the continent) to fulfill the prophecy of Ciri's child and grand-child conquering the world. Conquering the world would require the most powerful navy, and Kovir has that.

He's also not much older then Cirilla, who was born in the 1250's. His father was said to have been a very good looking man, in his 60's appearing 40's. We must assume he inherited his father's genetics and be much more physically appearing than the tyrants on the Nilfgaard throne.

Regardless if they get married or not, I think it's safe to assume Ciri does her witcher thing after the events of TW3.

(pulled from witcher wiki, so could be inaccurate)
Notable Emperors
Notes
  • In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, there's a possibility of Ciri becoming the Empress of Nilfgaard and thus Emhyr's successor, but this contradicts canon (novels by Andrzej Sapkowski) which states that Morvran Voorhis was the successor of Emhyr. In the game, Voorhis alludes that being Emperor is his intention, which he hopes to realize with help from his father. One possible workaround this plot hole would be if Morvran ruled together with Ciri.
