[Spoilers] Are there some major discoveries in the "empty" areas like Badlands?

Hey,
as mentioned in the title - are there any major, story-related discoveries in those huge "empty" areas like Badlands, tunnels, or underwater?

The only thing I saw was drowned Meredith Stout with a weight on her feet.

Are there any others?

What about UFO(?) in the Badlands which Garry mentioned? Has anyone found it?

There is a delivery drone that crashed with epic loot in it, a hideout surrounded by mines, and another hideout cellar with epic loot as far as I have found.

I found a nice Iron Man easter egg (today weirdly enough), no story and just a couple of guns lying about - but it was a nice find

Not really sure if it would count. But what I found interesting as a discovery is to find the various locations where the story missions happen while free roaming.

And the best 'discovery is a black Caliburn near the dark cave hideout where you do the first mission with Panam.
There's Also some high level loot there.

Other specific locations I dont really have stapled to the brain.
