(Spoilers) Characters from the Books - Who are they

+
Heh, too true Synvael. :p

But since I've revealed it on the Emhyr section, I'm having trouble figuring out what I should do now. Spoiler tag it, or just leave it as it is?

I figured that people who read this, won't read the books, because of time limitations. I'm torn. :p
I think you can leave it but you should put a spoiler warning before that part. :yes like: "Look out! Do not read any further if you have NOT yet read the last novel in the series and want to read the books!"

Let the ignorant be surprised! I love your puns!

Sincirily!

awesome articles, I have got just few another points..
Ciri was also supposed to board the ship with her parents, but mysteriously, after the boat had set sail, Young Ciri was found in the docks of Skellige.
little correction: it wasn't some miracle - Pavetta just smuggle her back to docks.

You missed that part about Geralt's meeting with Calanthé in Cintra - he really tried to avoid fulfilment of Destiny, but first time, he kept his word and returned to Cintra 6 years after first events in Cintra. He talked to Calanthé, but he left Ciri there.

@sfinx121

Yeah, I wrote about Pavetta on the Emhyr section, but I thought about not doing so, on the Ciri section, since I have not yet revealed who Duny really was. Maybe I will do so on Part 3, or I will add a pointer to direct people to the Emhyr section.

About the second point, there seem to be some contradiction in the books, (probably intentional). In the Sword of Destiny, Geralt says that he has been avoiding Cintra like the plague, and that he never visited. However I remember the scene, where he tries to figure out who his Child Surprise is. I must've missread something then. I will add the info to the OP.

Thanks!

:hatsoff:

To the rest..

I've also added some more information about Yennefer, regarding the Djinn incident since it was quite vague. I'll try and finish the Ciri section with one last Part, though probably next week. I'm off to go get sun burnt tomorrow. :p

Regarding some other pointers I've received some time ago, by @wichat and @sfinx121 , I have not forgotten about them. As soon as I find the time to look into them, I will do so and credit you guys. :)

Geralt went to Cintra to check things out, saw little Ciri and after that he started avoiding it. Years later, he meets her in Brokilon. If he said he never visited (which I don't recall at all) then he said it before all that happened.

Added another part about Ciri to the OP. Hopefully I'll be done with the next part. :)

Again should you notice any mistakes or lack of information, do tell.

I'm also thinking about providing some information about Hjalmar since I have a feeling that he will be playing an important role in TW3. I want to ask, if anyone remembers: Was Ciri in love with Hjalmar or was it another boy from Skellige? I know Hjalmar was in love with Ciri, but I can't remember if it was Hjalmar the young boy that Ciri was in love with.

The purpose of this thread is to provide information to players that have not read the books and do not have the time or will to do so. It will be contained into describing characters from the Books that will be in TW3.
.
Good info on some of the main characters. Did you write it yourself? good job! I´ve read the books (the spanish version was finished some years ago) and I can tell that some info on ciri is missing, did you leave that out on purpose? SPOILERS AHEAD (like her imprisonment by the Aen Elle elves, her time and space travelling, her showdown with Bonhart etc)

Yeah Ciri's section is not yet complete. I'll try and finish it this week. The three events you have mentioned are what's missing. And her role in Geralt's and Yennefer's "Death". :)

I've read the books quite a few times. And I'm using the Official Witcher Wiki as well for reference. The guys there have done an amazing job. So I guess it's memory and the wiki that I use in writing down the info. :D

Great work with Ciri, long and complete, all the info in a single topic, @StaGiors. Unicorns and snake couldn't stop you! Hats off. :)
Anyway, I was reading other parts... and about Dijkstra...
So is Ori really his brother?

...I didn't know that.
I suspected that when I was reading the last book. This part in particular:

I thought Dijkstra wanted to be called Sigi Reuven because it was like a goodbye for his friend. But then I read the part when killers tried to get Dijkstra, they stormed Tretogor palace and then they went to Dijkstra room and found Ori and asked him where he was:

'Where is he?' asked the leader, leaning over Ori and drilling him with a look from behind the holes of his black mask. 'Where is that bloody dog?'
'Not here,' said Ori Reuven, without fear. 'You can see that for yourself.'
'Where is he? Speak up! Where is he?'
'I don't know, ahem, ahem,' Ori coughed. 'Am I my brother's keeper?'

And I was like

I can't believe I missed that :(

@Synvael @EmperorZorn @King_Hochmeister

"Am I my brother's keeper" is a verse from the bible I believe. Meaning I just looked for it, since it does sound like a phrase. So maybe it is just used as a phrase in the books as well. Same thing happened with Coleman and the Innkeeper in TW1.

So I am not sure if Dijkstra is Ori's real brother either. They were close enough to be brothers though. :)

Oh and thank you guys for the kinds words. :D

Dang. You're right, I checked. It's a saying from the Bible's story of Cain and Abel. I've just experienced a mind blown due to my ignorance. :p

But yeah they are close enough and Ori is the only one person who served Dijkstra for 19 years, and the only man who knew what his boss thought, apart from Filippa, I guess. So "Reuven" can be just a little dedication.

That's right, hem hem.. :D

By the way, Ori was still alive and well in TW1. How about a "reunion"!?
