In Witcher 3, they let people jump into both expansions with pre-made characters. CDPR says less than half of people made it past the Bloody Baron in Witcher 3. Whether this is because the story was too long or because the gameplay was just too rough is open for debate. Personally, by the time I got to Skellige I was completely exhausted. I think jumping people into Act 2 quickly was a good idea for Cyberpunk, though the relationship between V and Jackie is lacking due to the amount of time spent with the latter.
I agree with you here. Although generally my thought is that Cyberpunk is too short, I still think that Act 1 ended when it needed too. I think maybe what they should've done was add a side-job questline to Jackie like how they did with the romance options. This way if people wanted to get more invested with his character they could go do his questline, but if not they could just bum-rush the first act in 2 hours like it is now.

The cyberpunk splash image comes after act 1. That's something that usually comes after the prologue.
Imho, a complete act was cut from the game and we got the current endings that feel extremely rushed.
Really. The endings contain so many contradictions, retcon and plotholes, you could ask the question if they were made by the same studio. The rest of the story is at least OK if not good or even very good.
The endings however stick out with their shitty quality of writing.

the six months video-montage at the end of the prologue is the part they have scrapped but the ACT 1 to me looks like a rushed act, I'll try to explain this:
we met Dex too soon and the entire friendship with T-Bug is non-existant, we start the game that V is in friendship with everyone
I don't think so.
In that case, the splash screen would have happened right after the mintage or saving Dorset.
It was never planned to play between Dorset and the lifepath tutorial, because we only get our first cyberware after Dorsetnas preparation for the new job.

I felt more emotion in his messy garage with Misty than him dying in a limo. And therein lies the problem since they were like:
"Ok, how do we just get the player into the rest of story, where we don't have a Bloody Baron 2.0 - getting bored listening to a drunk moan about his bad life decisions."
Life paths became a new feature entirely but they had to justify V and Jackie's relationship a little, hence the montage (gut punch imo). It feels like pushing Jackie into act 2 would have been better, and they can always knock him off like so many other characters in order sell an emotional scene.

How do we even know this was cut content and not entirely planned? The 48min demo says it takes place near the beginning of the game and it's beat for beat the same - preparation for a heist involving the Militech bot.
Not saying you're wrong, but the cut content claims have become so bombastic that just about every feature in this game is someone's loose interpretation of what they thought they saw in the demo. It's impossible to talk it about in good faith.

I definitely feel like Act 3 should have been us in hiding or trying to get back into the city after we escape with or without Takemura after kidnapping Hanako. I remember sitting in that motel thinking there were gonna be some missions where we are basically on the run from Arasaka and we'd eventually have to find a way to get in touch with Hanako in person and from there Act 4 would be what Act 3 is right now.
I still think the endings were left like cliffhangers because of plans for future DLC so personally they haven't been bothering me that much. However I could be wrong, and if I am and we get no post game DLC I would have to agree with you.

Do you think this act that was cut is supposed to be after or before what we are supposed to think are the endings? For me I feel the game wasn't supposed to end when it did.

I personally think that the prologue ended after the heist. Act 2 was basicay act 1 and the Arasaka tower should have been the second act. I absolutely think that the third act - the arc to finish the search was meant to be after our current ending. Maybe with either sick V or Johnny trying to find a way to safe V or Johnny, depending on what the writers had in mind.
When I look at the endings, lots of things don't end up and are pretty amateurish.
Maybe V would keep the body but would still be ill. Act 3 would have been about saving Johnny and staying alive with Alt being the antagonist.
Also for what ever reason we aren't taking this into account at all. Its a completely different game. Just because they said they were going to release DLC similar to TW3 that doesn't mean that the content will literally walk in the same footsteps as it also. Its a completely different game. I mean I've been thinking about this for a while now and what they meant by comparing the two was likely nothing more then them saying: "We are going to support this game with regular content like TW3". Not that the content will have a literal resemblance to exactly what was released in TW3. Its all really based on what they feel they want to do with the story. The character in the Witcher is someone who lives and doesn't have a story arch like 'V'. So to setup DLC in the same way with two unique story arch's doesn't make sense. Hopefully you all understand what I'm trying to say. Basically we cant say that just because TW got mid story content doesn't mean that Cyberpunk will. We might only get Post story content in cyberpunk for all we know. This wouldn't make sense for TW because they got multiple games one after another. So theres no need for post story content because they can continue it from game to game.

Obviously we will see small DLC that will likely share similarities, but big expansion content is definitely going to differ from TW3. At least that's what I believe and I could definitely be wrong. So until they really tell us its just gonna be constant guessing. Which hopefully will be addressed within the next month or so.
I like that theory. I'm a fan of this one as well. With all of these theories the roads may be different but the destination (Crystal Palace/ Blue Eyes) is a recurring theme.
Just hope they don't slap the Crystal Palace stuff as mid-game content. Hey V, ignore the fact that you're experiencing a split personality issue and go to space for reasons. We'll talk again in one of the endings where you have to go back up there again.

I have read a comment in reddit, that the devs promised to release all the cut content and additional content in further patches and DLC's? I don't know if it's true. Did someone read anything like this from an official side?
not trolling, i live in real world and i understand at current state what cdpr can do. Selling dlc will make their reputation even more trash as game was put on ripperdoc table and gutted by half at least. Making free story dlc will make people pissed as it is not dlc but rather development of base game.
