They also stated that the game was ready back in January 2020. We know how that turned out.

For gameplay mechanics, features, and a different story that might involve a send-off for V (or not)?

Made this to show why continuation DLC does not make any sense from a storytelling perspective

Your flow chart is circular and concludes that either ending or cure leads to "6 months to live" -- repeating the cycle.

Iirc, it was in an interview with a developer.

And let's face it. If they sell us the conclusion to the story as dlc, they will get roasted.

The developer was a UI artist, and this was back in 2018, I believe. If anyone has that interview handy, please share it.

Also, the base story itself is conclusive from a story arc perspective - the conflict revolving around how a player handled having Johnny in his/her head gets resolved by the end of the story, fulfilling the claim that the game's base story is complete.

There was never any claim that the story could not be built upon and expanded though ;) plus, why go through the effort of playable epilogues with clear open-ended sequel bait? Some of the epilogues almost taunt the player with either a heist in a space casino or exploring the roads with the Aldecaldos. And those don't even cover all the crazy conspiracies tied to easter eggs found throughout the game relating to Mr. Blue Eyes.

that interview is old, from another period lost in time where they think to launch a complete game, this is not the same situation now.

Yesterday Iwinski talked 'bout the DLCs and the update roadmap, not THE EXPANSIONS

expansions are for sure story related content (as Blood and Wine etc)

Free Dlcs could have story related content but only in act 2 or 3 (that start after tapeworm.

It's concluded if you consider Johnny's presence the source of the conflict, I never did. For me it was V dying because of the Relic, Johnny was a side effect. This doesn't get resolved.

We have two suspiciously similar final game states, lots of conflicting clues and that sixth attribute though. And The Sun feels like a cliffhanger more than any other ending.

Reminder :

-that leak is not valid now (the one from the UI designer)

-the angry developer-leak is fake (no matter what)

-let's speak and let's encourage only thread related comments and post

-GTA should be a banned word here

So please for everyone, try to take here valid arguments and proofs on topic.

Yea, that part is not clear, it should go back to NC and continue further in a different direction. But, we might not get to that part anyway since it would be too much content. So essentially it leads to the same point on the rooftop if we were able to find a cure without the 6 months bullshit

Ah. Maybe they already have systems in place that give alternative endings but the side missions are simply not available yet.

That would mean alternate endings for free dlc content.

""While free and unspecified DLC is confirmed for early 2021, CD Projekt RED has said that there will also be paid expansions. Some fans are hoping that one of these expansions will elaborate on the Mr. Blue Eyes character, and here you’ll discover who he is in Cyberpunk 2077. ""

Free DLC are specified now for the 1.2 release

Or that was before the story changes. The old trailer with Jackie and Dex was from 2018, the Meredith encounter and the heist played out differently.

True.

Atm, the update I personally care about is the next gen upgrade for series x. The backwards compatibility mode sucks.
So if we get the meaningful content most of us here would like to see I will only play it when the next gen version is there.

Talking now about paid expansion would be really dangerous, maybe after the 1.2 patch they will
Yep, i think it depends on how big will these patches be. If they will fix the problems with past gen and major bugs then they will be able to start talking about expansions.

If Witcher 3 is any indication the patches were fairly lengthy. E.g. here's 1.10 patch. Now that I look at it again it's fairly substantial.

So has anyone found if not-gman shows up anywhere else besides the balcony or the Sun ending?

You really are a hopeful one.

Probably because I don't ignore entire elements of the story, or subsist on the forum mainly to indulge my hatred for anything and everything related to the game.

You refunded the game. You don't think they'll do anything to make the game better. Maybe just move on?

V is pretty much dead at the end of the game. If you let Arasaka take out the chip you end up disabled and can barely walk, no missions for you.

If you do anything involving Mikoshi the AI Alt will zap you with Soulkiller and wipe the brain of the original V, later uploading the Engram V with a 6 months shelf life and already coughing blood.

A DLC needs to start around the Blackwall mission, where we can refuse AI Alts plan to turn us into an engram - and then it could branch into something new that does not lead to V's doom.

Arasaka ending, you recover from your disability, as you are in the recovery room for weeks. This is partially evidenced by V's sight returning to normal. He has no issues walking when going to either ending in that path.

Also even if V does refuse Alt's plan and doesn't get soul killed, the chip has still altered his dna and he will die in 6 months regardless, once again, as evidenced by hellman in the arasaka ending.

If V's story is to continue, it looks like they will need to come up with something post game. If cloning tech is available they need only go to V's apartment and get some dna of him pre chip, clone him a new body and pop his engram in there. Either that or he'll need some miracle-esque bacta tank type thing, but that still won't account fir the dna change
