[SPOILERS] End-Game And Suspicions About The First DLC

+
Did not update your railguns? Tough shit.
The whole upgrade system was there to force you to use their shitty planet scan minigame, and to make the game longer, as the base game was really short. Grind fest 101, thank god for save editor.
Subject zerondid not get the chance to nuke the facility but you decided to lead the second team? She will get taken away ne seeker swarms.
You took your sweet time after the abduction? Watch your crew being turned to paste.
Yeah, you did their mission, but selected the "wrong" option? Well shit, let's kill the character. I also hated the hidden score system when you left the remaining troops behind to hold your flank, when you went to kill human reaper. They also gutted the RPG elements, and reduced the paragon system into nice guy, or asshole selector. And people called CP2077 a not RPG.

Well. Pease show me what decisions except playing 2 additional story lines, one specific dialogues option and the decision what pill I swallow at the end, influenced Vs fate?

The game's cause and effect lies beyond just the endings. You should know this if you played the game, which I know you didn't because you refunded the game and watched the endings on YouTube.

Off the top of my head:

  • If you flat out ignore Riders on the Storm for 24 hours Saul dies and you are completely locked out of an entire quest line and an ending.
  • If you rat out Panam to Saul you get a car but also lock yourself out of the entire questline (and the ending path).
  • One of the few games I've played that allows you to play a straight edge character (no forced drugs or alcohol).
  • You can reject Johnny's desire to take control briefly for Chippin' In. This also locks you out of two endings (including the secret one - which is dependent on how you talk to him).
  • There are 2 Ripperdocs you can lock yourself from based on how you react to them.
  • Whether you dealt with Jotaro (or several other quests) influences your approach to Woodman. Corpos in particular can intimidate Woodman by default without needing to deal with Jotaro.
  • I believe only Nomads can peacefully resolve Anna Miller's case (where she doesn't go out and kill 2 cops before getting killed herself).
  • The amount of people that didn't even realize you could save Takemura because it didn't explicitly tell them.
  • Randy dies if you guess the wrong farm. River can also die if you just outright ditch him during his search (he gets killed by the traps).
  • How you handled the AllFoods Militech purchase influences whether you leave the Totentanz (the Bel isis quest) peacefully or through a shootout. It can also directly effect Stout during the AllFoods quest in general.
  • If you let the corpo QA guy go during Olive Tree, Sergei ends up dying.
  • How you approach the Clouds questline (Judy's stuff) affects what happens to the Dolls, and/or whether you can continue Judy's questline (killing Maiko or accepting her bribe).
  • Ignoring the Monk's wishes and just killing the Maelstrom gangoons locks you out of an entire conversation with them on the nature of the biochip and Johnny's construct.
  • Streetkids can peacefully walk through the front door of Gustavo Orta's apartment and talk to him directly. Other paths have to take a stealth approach to his office in order to talk to him.
  • Streetkids can only peacefully resolve the quest where the NCPD are beating a corpo. They are also the only ones that can find out why exactly they are beating him.
  • What you say to Claire one mission prior to the final race will influence whether she spares the driver.
  • If you kill Joanne Koch (Gig: Guinea Pig) before doing Gig: Olive Branch, you get an additional branch of dialogue from the guy in the trunk which can influence your decision on letting him go.
  • You have the option to not only kill the VDBs, but you can side with Netwatch, forcing Alt to destroy the BBS and kill Brigitte and the runners. You can alternatively go with the plan (don't side with Netwatch) and still kill the VDBs.

Some of them I didn't know, so a great find, could use a list of something like this ;D You can save Bricks by the way with this mission with jackie ;]
But to many of them you really need to dig deep to find a choice and the changes are like lifepaths a dialogue line or two. No lasting effect on gameplay or story further down the line. Like with Stout if she can live you have one encounter with her, if not only email from the guy? There was never a mention of her again, that she came back , or had more troubles. None of this things that you mention besides Panam offer a different option in the main story. The same with any LI. It's more do quest or do not. Not that there are that many differences (Only notable is with river if you can find the correct farm and takamura). Because if we are talking about choices i want to see the consequences a little further than the end of current side gig. Examples: takamura and Saul. The choices i was expecting to have was for example to save Evelyn, pay for treatment, get info from her, get call in the ending, maybe see her getting better? Or when i didn't save takemura and i killed every arasaka soldier i could find during missions hanako would screw me over? Or when i get blueprints for Biochip from hellman before meeting Alt, she can later prepare better when i plug to mikoshi? If I did quest with panam and chose arasaka ending maybe put aldecaldos under their protection? This kind of things, I wanted something that stays relevant.

But back to topic:
Right know it's pretty hard to tell what CDPR will do. Taking into account responses that we have from head manager etc that they think game's only issues are bugs, gliches, performance but without these game is easly 10/10 or 9/10 then (I hope i'm wrong) i lean towards mid game DLC with playing as different character(Morgan maybe?) or just some more V tortures.

What surprised me a little is that one of the trailers said: "That the chip could change the power circumstances of the city."
You'd think V was constantly on the run, but none of this happens. There are also no gangs who got wind of it and want to steal the chip out of your head... or other corpos other mercs etc. etc.
The only thing I've noticed so far is that Mr. Blue Eyes has an eye on you. That's it.

All of this makes the story so irrelevant and then ends in an inevitable death?
If I want to see bleak stories that I cannot influence, then I can just as well watch TV.;)

There's a hazy idea of what they are working on but it's what we already knew. There's people that have a lot of issues with the game and want to play it, so getting the glaring bugs, glitches, and performance fixes out of the way first just means you don't go into expansions with the same jank.

Those bigger 'feature' patches will likely come in the later part of the year. Who knows they could surprise us with the patch coming this week. You usually don't jump software versions like 1.1 to 1.2, so I would bet there's minor changes between these 2 patches (if Witcher 3 is any indication).

I dont think that we will get to play other characters. Its Simply a waste of our time since we spent dozens of hours to bring V to max lvl. The game could be a vessel for smaller stories like main game= v, first dlc =gang wars with jackie(mama welles says about it) second dlc= life of a corpo where you have to play dirty to get higher in the line. But there is one major problem that makws this not possible- character progression.
In every dlc we would have to build our new character from lvl 1 and that just wouldnt be fun, this is not gta where is no character progression system. Also we have 6th skill tree in the game that is blocked for now. Wheres sense in showing us missing 6th skill tree if V would not have Access to lt?

That is an important point!
CDPR could have left out the 6th skill tree without putting an animation over it. Why the extra effort?
It was clear that the players would wonder what this is for.
Maybe V doesn't die after all, and there is some kind of rebirth with a new kind of ability.

Johnny says through out the game he is experiencing our past memories.

Maybe they could use this as a base for a mission or two before the 6 months skip for our character V.
What do you think?

The question is how much of that remained and do we haunt Johnny in his dreams.

Yeah... the stuff that Jackie and V did aren't really remarkable considering the biochip heist was their "ticket to the major leagues". What they did before this was mostly odd jobs and Gig: <Unique Name>.
Could be nice to have some content to flesh out Jackie more, a couple of short side quests together (even not related to merc jobs) and interactions with Victor, Misty and Mama Wells. I think a whole DLC is a bit too much for that though.

I mean stealing a briefcase from a BD addicted suit is not ready high profile. I give you that one.

Free DLC maybe but IMO that is just ammunition for people calling just about every facet of the game cut content. They said on their Discord story stuff isn't changing - does that preclude the possibility of a montage/extra stuff with Jackie?

I hope so. At least to me replacing the montage with a playable part would be the definition of cut content.

Wouldn't extra stuff with Jackie require people to replay the game or reload to a pre-heist save? I doubt they'd make a free DLC that would require the player to do either of those things.

timestamped it at the right news segment,
N54 about the biodyne treatment for multiple schlerosis
wonder if there's more articles or mails about it ;
since it's mentionned cost is 700000ed per month it would tie in nicely with
the ending where V attacks the crystal palace.
