[SPOILERS] Evelyn Parker, wasted potential! Your Thoughts?

+
Well seems as good as any place to ask this.

We get to meet Evelyn once, at Lizzies, before the heist, and well we know how that goes aswell as what comes after.

My question is, does she just disappear or is there somewhere she hangs out that you can talk to her even if its only the same conversation as you get if you phone before the heist?
Play through the Judy story line because that's major spoiler territory, bud. Don't wanna ruin it for ya

The moment you are done with the heist, shes gone and you will only get to see her again in the basement where she is unconscious.

I mean i didnt try to visit the cloud or fingers before going to the cloud, but i dont think we will be able to see her.

That is ... incorrect.
Once you call Mr. Hands (main mission), Judy will eventually call you for a side mission.

Did it all, multiple times, im asking because im at a stage where im exploring options and testing things, one of these "things" i need evelyn for hence my question if she is anywhere you can interact with after meeting her at lizzies but before the heist

also characters such as saburo and takemura felt like they were added a little "too late" and didn't have a chance to get "fleshed out"

Oh, sorry for misunderstanding you. I don't think so

Wasted potential...Evie...Kirk...Jackie...
I really wanted to get revenge on Evie and Kirk myself. It really pissed me off that I had to be sympathetic to Evie, and was forced to take the job from Kirk instead of just telling him to piss off right before putting two rounds in his head. Jackie's wasted potential is way more obvious and less subjective. He's the only character we have a chance to develop a meaningful story with, but no.

Sure, Evie could have had a longer, more compelling story, but in the end, her culpability for Jackie's death would be inescapable, and IMO the real potential is lost in the lack of our ability to respond as we each feel V would. There are so many dialogues where V can express her approval of vengeance, but we never get to exercise it.

Evelyn had nothing to do with Jackie's death. It was Dex's poor planning that caused that.

Planning was fine tbh, worked great imo but well you cant plan for everything and i dont think anyone thought Saburo would turn up let alone at that precise moment in time with the outcome that happened.

Theres arguments for being railroaded into the "only one way out" scenario but all in all the plan was great and was working very well

Except, Dex ignored probably THE single most important detail of the heist...Yorinobu's location. Even if yorinobu changed his itinerary for that day, I would think some importance would be placed on when and where he is at all times considering that was his penthouse they were raiding.

They dont, T-Bug tells you were he is all the time, hence you can enter the apartment and hence you need to hide.

Yorinobu leaves, you enter, T-Bug is still following him, your supposed to leave same way you came in but because of events and because T-Bug still tracking Yorinobu we know he's in the elevator on his way back, hence you hide

and let's not ignore the fact that Dex didn't plan for multiple routes of escape if things went south, or how he only gave Delamain one drop off option. Things like that always send up red flags.

Yeah thats a different discussion i feel and one CDPR could expand on if they choose but the initial plan is sound enough bar the Saburo incident which even then could be taking advantage of and potentially saving jackie, not that jackie living or dying actually bothers me tbh.

Door - Dex, story we have

Roof - Saburos car and get to Evelyn

this is why i think rogue should have been the one in charge instead of dex. she never assumes things aren't gonna go down easy, WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE? that's why she's the best.

Who's to say she wasn't and let Dex take the fall?

She frees Johnny, eliminates some competition and vets a very capable merc in the process

Which feels ridiculous as a response. You are the one dying. You are the one doing everything. The only Johnny focused stories are the backstory and his friends ones.
You can say what you will but the whole story is getting Johnny out of your head. To do so, the main story leads you through his life. How he ended up on the chip. The arasaka nuke, rogue, The band, Alt, etc Nothing is really about V and who V is. We left who we were or going to be after the Heist.

The Problem with this though is... i dont give a damn about Johnny Silverhand. I mean i would be okay with finding out what he lived through, maybe through a shard?
Like this tells you how much i dont care about him.
I want MY Story. V's! Story.
I dont want to relive the same story of a boomer.
If i knew from the beginning that it went this way and i was going to die in the end no matter what, i would have pulled the trigger after the first mission. No reason to play if i die anyways in ALL endings.

Oh I agree. I believe the story is about Johnny and not about V. I don't know why they even bothered letting us create a V if all they were going to do is walk us through Johnny's life.
