[SPOILERS] Judy DLC Idea

So one of the best things in the game is scuba diving with Judy, and everything with Judy, and just Judy in general....

...but what I'd like to see in DLC is more of that non combat like the diving...with Judy.

So I'd like a DLC that you go on Judys Roadtrip for a while (or go on a roadtrip for a while with her if you've romanced). Travel through surrounding areas - see the sites - more obectives and dialogue options that explore characters more than combat. Encountering other people leaving Night City, or hoping to make their big break in night city and you can influence their decisions etc.

Thoughts?

My general rule:

NEVER turn down additional/new content. Yes please ;) (y)

I feel like Judy was WAY under-utilized. She figured out how to merge two consciousnesses into one brain dance AND programmed a biochip to make a human body perform Kung fucking Fu! Yet when it came time for the final mission, she's like "Welp, I hope you find what you're looking for, V. See ya when you get back!"

So much so.

There is some dialogue I think briefly where you can suggest she take over the club or something. Just always came across as someone who has the potential to be a natural leader, a different kind of fixer, the artist with a moral compass....I love that they didn't go down that path with her..but at the same time...I'm like...I would love to see that story arc develop.

Finally yes, thread with concrete ideas to go tru. And its about Judy too <3

I like the idea, and I hope to see the devs would apply similar approach to side quests, non-combat ones that still involve some of their interests. In Judy's case there are so many too, diving, braindances, drawing, robotics... She seems to have lot of hobbies and did her best to enrich her life with meaning and purpose despite the hardships around her. And to this specific point you put forward I feel it has a lot of potential not only because of Judy's affinity for diving but also because diving as it stands now is very underused. You can dive, but you don't really have much reason to, exploration maybe, barely any content is tied to it. And making diving content while pairing it with Judy on a quest/event with her sounds like the perfect way to create motivation for that feature as well as more time with her <3
Your idea is very logical and I would love to see CDPR think along these lines.

Surrounding areas or the ocean, both offer many spots to explore still. Pacifica feels underused atm.

And naturally other things like braindances. I would love for them to be able to take them out of just pure detective work and bring them more into an entertainment feature that it is intended for in the lore. Judy after all creates amazing ones, if they can let us participate even on a provincial level tru dialogue in the process of their creation tru interaction with her as per one of her side quests/events. That would give BD's a very beloved spot just for giving us more time with Judy. And remember that BD's are made to convey real emotions so it could be something like a quest to get those authentic emotions to make them properly. Judy's pyramid song was also about capturing your emotions to the revelations she presents to you while giving you her own look into the past. So you see it had a practical use for her to do so as well as intimate. So they could work with such ideas more in terms of braindances. Essentially it might boil down to making porn with her to get the emotions she needs, but ofc not all the best emotions are necessarily tied to sexual experiences. I trust the writers if they ever go on this route.

You said more objectives and dialogue that explore characters, and this is exactly what it is all about. Any excuse I can find to build occasions for more dialogue will always be the main focus in romances. The dialogue and interactions they bring is the best reward in these relationships.

Hello, Judy gang from Panam gang)
I hope devs will hear your thoughts and ideas about Judy future content as well as they hear Panam gang desires. Our favourite characters should become main part of future DLC. They gave our male and female V hope for surviving, they help V to never stop fighting, as Johnny said.

(whole bunch of awesome snipped for readability)

The BDs, especially after Judys work on the neural link could be amazing.

Just spit balling - but after Evelyn, and the neural link, I can imagine Judy using that technology to help people who have gone through trauma (but obviously can't get trauma team brain wipe) and setting up a mobile clinic in her van.

There are so many wonderful avenues that could be explored.

Thoughts, Icinix? We have them! )))

Getting back to her psyche type - Artemis archetype. She is a representation on natural freedom; youth spirit; impulsiveness; no care for social norms, patriarchal control and corporate interests. However, with all that Artemis was also believed to be a protector of nature, animals and even pregnancy. On a verge of death, ancient Greeks were praying to her to have mercy on them and their souls, because they believed that at that very moment, she stood above them with her sword raised above their head, deciding their fate.

This leads us to the fact that everyone has a darker side! And that might also be very interesting to explore! Lots of drama, mysteries, interesting villains, etc... It can be a detective story, or something half mystical in the best traditions of Ghost in the Shell, or Neuromancer. Imagine if cyberspace has some additional AI constructs that might either play around with and hurt a human, or protect and guide her/him? Is it an AI, or an actual person? Something dark is happening in the NC during season of storms and Judy has some flashing recollections of her involvement. Here is a serious drama and a great mystery to solve! Some puppeteer behind curtains spreading a viral code by means of a melody, which is repeated by every programmed-drone-person, like that fanatic, who tried to kill ex-mayor; and Judy during diving date. All programmed individuals share collective flashing memories, and not one of them remembers her/his personal involvement - only the collective horror!

Once again, all this is already suggested in canon writings of the genre. Add to it your personal attachment to Judy (what is often called "the hook") and you "the player" will be immersed into the narrative no matter how many bullets you shoot eventually. There will be your true romance; conquering her and your own fears; and a picnic to die for in the calm center of the storm! ;-)

I doubt that DLC will allow you to spend extra time with romance options from the main game. There are 4 of them, and it's unlikely that DLC will be so massive that cover all 4 characters depending on the choice you made. And doing some extra for Judy, ignoring the others, well, just not right

The story I described might involve ANY loved one you chose for yourself - no difference. Add some foreshadowing dialogue and voila, you have the setup for a grand adventure! Imagine: either Panam, Kerry, or River: "Aah-h.. I can't seem to get this melody out of my head! Its the third day in a row.. And... no matter what I do, I can't seem to get it out of my head. Or.. did I say that already?". "I have no recollection where I would even hear it... Or, was I singing? It is not something I would even listen to... fuckin schizo-cacophony! Over and over, like the gutted dying whale.... Go-oddamet!". ".....And you know what's even worse? Yeah... these strobing flashes... scorching through my fucking brain! And, and.. screaming? Panic...? Was I running somewhere? Mmm-mm... shit, shit, shit! My memories are shattered mess! I feel like I am going insane, V!? Head is cracking in half... That ringing, let me tell ya... I haven't had a hangover like this since... God knows when.... I think I am coming up with something... Yeah.. that's all it is. Just a cold.". V:"You do realize, we hadn't had a cold since... when exactly?". Either Panam, Kerry, or River: "Then I don' know whatta fuck it is, ok!? .....let it be cold, please... just.. let it be."

There you have it. A little premise that might just work.

THE CITY IS LACKING OLDER HISTORY AND SCARY LEGENDS, MYSTICAL SHADOWS OF DARK STREETS, UNWORLDLY APEX PREDATOR (with or without dreads ;-) )! I sincerely hope, CD Project will make it a bit scarier... like a psycho-thriller with some horror elements. One may dream! ;-)

When you write a book, or a game, or a screenplay, or a movie - or whatever can you please let me know? Because your mind is freaking awesome.

Team Judy member here,

Anything added for Judy, requires equal amounts of added content for other characters. While I would want all Judy all the time (and who wouldn't :ohstopit: ). Realistically, and going off of @DJSaintDJ idea of "The Myths and Legends of Night City". That would be a cool entry point for romance updates. Do the whole Bladerunner or GiTS thing and have V be the "hard-boiled detective" and then the other characters would have fun with V finding out the mystery, make fun, joke with her/or him, have realizations and introspections. Go along with V for the full questline and then once finished have a decompressing convo or mission with your respective Significant Other..

That sounds hella fun actually. A nice aside from all the ass-kicking.

She texted me she's over this city, and that she was leaving.
I rejected her because she wasn't my Love interest....

It just wasn't like that between us, I wanted a friend....she was awesome, and now she's gone.

Aye - Judy was my V's best bud. Was sad to see her go - but damn if her constant travel shots didn't keep my V going.

More of that kind of integration and content from NPCs would be great.

))) You are far too kind. That was just some food for thought. We are brainstorming and dreaming here after all. ;-)

Psycho-thrillers with horror elements can be quite adrenalin-pumping. Perhaps less dynamic in comparison to some shootout or brawl. But if done right, it will keep our hearts pumping and make us thirsty for more.

As far as city legends go... there might be one about something terrorizing few streets at night. Something that keeps even gangs away from there. NCPD only find guts and blood everywhere, but no bodies. Or, each time, there might be a different body part missing? Who knows. ;-) And, every time we face it, bullets go through it, but don't seem to bother it.. and it is quick as hell, so we don't even see the whole thing. It might even be a shape-shifter! Graphics were not as advanced previously to create a fast moving shapeshifter with a constantly changing shape. Why shouldn't Cyberpunk 2077 be the first?

What do you think?

And about other loved ones, besides Judy... I wrote under that first suggestion, how the same story could get introduced from perspective of either Panam, Kerry, or River with just one dialogue. Imagine if professional writer gets on it!
