SPOILERS for the "New Dawn Fades" ending!

Be careful what you wish for...

So years(?) ago I was complaining about not having a way to remove the chip/Johnny and then debated with friends here on this forum about how they would put this in the DLC because of some clues I saw in the game itself like the books in Vs apartment about possible special surgery for this kind of thing.

I was told "no way" the DEV will do that because Cyberpunk is all about the sad endings!

Well in the end I was right they did put the "cure" in the DLC but...

I put off playing out this ending until now because I did not want to "finish" the game until now. Over Christmas vacation I finally played it.

Wow do I regret that. Before this my ending was the Don't Fear the Reaper ending. Which is the BEST ending because you do not get anyone else (your friends) hurt or dead.

Now I have what I would consider the worse ending of them all.
Edit: And losing all my friends anyway as they either moved away or "moved on" from me.

Getting mugged and I could not fight back because I can no longer use combat implants, then told to just stay out of dark alleys and run when I hear gunfire.

Watching my V fade off into the crowd to become basically just another "crowd citizen" NPC in night city

All the same feelings about the secret Sun ending, m8, all the same feelings.

Also, going clean from Johnny by the means of NUS best is too bland for my taste. V becomes a new nobody whom a couple of common thugs can bully till they get bored, Johnny doesn't get his freedom, and V also loses the ability to shape and own the world. In my book the question is clear: who would want that? But that's what one gets when flying high only to land on the ground, instead of ascending.

The secret Sun ending is left open to interpretation, and especially with last Misty's cards it can't be bad! Gotta share my own lore again. V gets the job done at the Crystal Palace, then ransacks and burns it down in the process (i.e., runs it down into the Earth before ejecting). Later, as the new start, they wake up in a full tech body not unlike Adam Smasher and continue to roam NC as the most dangerous single character around.
