[Spoilers] Redania's Most Wanted

So, i've got a question considering the said quest. After you look around in Philippa's laboratory and find the crystal, you're presented with options to either take it to Radovid or to a sorceress... the sorceress being Triss. I've completed her side quest however already, and she's currently at Kaer Morhen, so she's out. I read that I can also take the crystal to Yen, so I've loaded the save before doing Redania's Most wanted, and instead of focusing on sidequests for the time being, i fast forwarded main quest, hoping that Yen will settle in one place after some part of it, and I'll be able to redo Redania's Most Wanted, grab the crystal and give it to Yen. Issue is, I'm already past the quest in the garden and Yen now asks me for a favor, sitting in an inn (no chit-chat options with her, just straight focusing on her quest, meaning there won't be an option to give her a crystal). So my question is how far do I need to progress in the story, so Yennefer will settle in some place and I can finish Redania's Most Wanted by giving her the crystal?

Yes, you can give it to Yennefer later on.

Thanks for the confirmation on this one, but I wanted to know how far exaclty do I need to proceed the main quest? Not asking for the storytelling here, just wanted to know how many quests before I get to that point. The thing is I want to finish every possible quest, but I also like challenge. I'm playing on highest difficulty, but I'm already lvl 19 and I've got a few side quests that are lvl12-14 recommended, and these are already too easy... and main quests tend to give a lot of exp, compared to sidequests. So if I need to finish 10 more missions from main quest story, I'd rather finish those lower lvl side quests first and just leave Redania's Most Wanted for later... better have one quest that I'm super overleveled for, than 20.

It depends on how many main storyline quests you've done, but in general
after finding all Ciri clues in Velen, Novigrad and Skellige there will be a quest, during which you will be able to give the crystal to Yennefer.

Right now I'm supposed to go with Yen to find a Geenie (or however it's translated to english version). Is it far off from here? Perhaps there's a chance I can just go grab the crystal and hold onto it until I can give it to Yen? That'd be much simpler. I'm asking, because I don't want to go back a few hours, if the game isn't scripted that way. Also, thanks a lot for help.
