(SPOILERS)The Witcher 2 Save Game Files

If you guys would like me to answer your questions relatively fast, please use the "mention system". Simply type @ and then my Forum Name after it without blank spaces. It will allow me to know when someone has asked me a question.

Here are the Save Game files for each different ending of TW2, all 16 of them. Hopefully they are useful, if CDPR does not manage to implement the dialogue option that would allow TW3 players to choose which events happened in the previous game. If they do, well.. consider this my small contribution to the community. :p

Also I have to say that, according to my playthroughs, each and every ending is allowing Letho to live, as well as the Dragon. Same applies to Síle de Tansarville. Also in the playthroughs in Iorveths Path, when Iorveth is captured by Kaedweni soldiers in Act III, he is saved. Oh and every quest is completed. Except for the "From A Bygone Era" in Iorveth Path playthroughs, since I felt it was kind of random to stumble upon Malget's Notes in Act II.

Note: In these Save Files every quest is completed, and you finish the game with some of the "best" items the game offers. You can see these items in any of the Save Game files of Act III (down below). Don't forget to check the "Inn" for some extra stored items.

Note 2: I believe some playthroughs are finished in Dark Mode, however they are not many. I did not have the courage to play through all of them in Dark Mode.

Note 3: On Iorveth Path, in every Save Game File after Act I, the elven women are saved, and thus Loredo is alive. (Thanks to @slicedice808 for bringing this to my attention.)

Want to be able to show your neck and tell everyone that you were once a special agent? You can now. This is a Save Game File where Geralt still has his tattoo. Courtesy of @ceejay1223 . Follow the link for more information or contact him via PM or otherwise.

Here are also the Save Game files, right before every "Major" Decision in the game. These might prove helpful, if you want to kill Letho for example. Or if you want to see what Items you end the game with. In these files, every side quest of the Chapter is completed. Hopefully. Do check though.

That's an epic summary!
I have thought about taking a savegame for TW3. I have played TW2 but I am not quite sure if I've taken the right decisions.
Maybe I'll start a new playthrough right before TW3, that would increase my anticipation :p
If I do not, I'll surely take one of your saves.

I've got one question about this. I don't know how it worked with savegames import in TW2, but does the "import" take only the major decisions into account? So only this 16 different versions, or are all the other small decisions, completed quests etc relevant too?
How was it like in TW2?

@Wolfsblvt

No idea about that. I guess it depends on CDPR. The files I've put up are about the Decisions that change the game Ending. Well, at least according to CDPR. I don't see how Aryan being alive or dead has any impact on the world states.

I would assume that some "minor" choices would influence TW3 somehow. Like Letho being alive or dead, same with Saskia. Who knows though.

One example in TW1 to TW2 is the decision you make about killing the Striga or not. There are some different dialogues with Radovid and Foltest.

@StaGiors
Thank you for that answer. That seems quite logic. Okay. So if I really want to get the full feeling of my decisions, I need to play TW2 again. And I need to play TW1 before and finish it this time. I think I am really missing some important stuff there. (Shame on me. I've quit TW1 two times right after half of the game ._.)

There was one minor quest that was imported from TW1 to TW2, and that was a quest in Vizima involving Vivaldi. If you do the quest in TW1, a dwarf will appear in Vergen saying Vivaldi remembers Geralt's favors and has opened a bank account with money for him. If you didn't do the quest the dwarf won't appear. Can't remember if there are any other minor things that are imported though.

Hmmm, spoilers(if there are people here that haven't played TW2)?

Just for curiosity. but, in a The Witcher 3 forum, it isn´t implied that any who comes here, is up to date, to precisely TW3.

I mean if I go to a Song of Ice and Fire forum, and there are, the novels forum and the TV Show forum, you can´t post anything about books, facts either ahead of the series or not showed, on the TV Show forum, but in the books forum, and more even in the specific Dance with Dragons book forum, any who comes there, are responsible of their acts, to be current to date, up to that point. Everything from the design to theories or gameplay mechanics are spoiler here, to anyone who did not play previous games.

Note: Don´t take this the wrong way, it´s just that for the little I know things work this way on forums, but for curiosity or to prevent future problems, it´s always better to be informed from those who really know. :D

Speaking of saved games, I hope we not only retain our gear and important decisions, but also the items attributes and character attributes. In Witcher 2, items like Ravens armour were ranked about as high as quilted armour, and once epic swords like Aerondight became butter knives. Then there was Geralt, my character went from legendary status at the end of Witcher 1, to what can only be described as newbie status at the beginning of Witcher 2.

I really hope the same thing doesn't happen in Witcher 3.

On Roche Path - Save Anais Files, the girl is given to Natalis. In every file. If you wish this to be different you can choose to download a save game from Act III. Sile is spared, so is Letho and the Dragon. In every Save Game File I believe. There might be something different in one or two but I doubt it.

Also the decision about giving the Sword to Iorveth or help Roche is always made according to following Iorveth or Roche.

Thanks, then it's already the best savegame possible. The one with saving Triss might be useful as well to prevent the Witch Hunt, but I guess a strong Temeria and an ongoing Witch Hunt will make TW3 even more interesting.

Sile is also spared so is Letho and the Dragon.
I take it you spare all 3 characters in the Save Triss version as well?

Thanks again, my saves did not complete every quest. I was afraid not to meet certain characters again.
