Sprint not functioning correctly

Hello I am experiencing a bug with sprinting in Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X, here, I made a post about it over on Reddit, follow this link and read my post please? https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/1q42dyc
I have reported this sprint bug to CD Projekt Red support about a week ago.

So yeah I'm new to Cyberpunk 2077.

Also I have discovered a few sound bugs as well. I have reported these sound bugs to CD Projekt Red support just now. Here, I'm just gonna copy and paste what I reported to them so I don't have to retype everything:

There is a sound bug, where every few seconds I'll just hear a click, I mean, how come this hasn't been patched yet? If this bug isn't fixed then I can't play this game cause that'll just drive me crazy. I am new to Cyberpunk 2077, if this bug ain't patched then I CANNOT play this game cause that will drive me crazy. This bug is super annoying. I recorded a clip of this bug and uploaded it to youtube so you can see what I'm talking about, listen, do you hear that? What is that sound as I'm moving? Why hasn't that been patched already?

There is a second sound bug I've discovered. When driving, every few seconds you'll hear a click. I recorded it for you.

Also, I was driving some random car and every few seconds I was hearing a sound that sounded kind of like a dog bark, it wasn't a dog bark, but it kind of sounded like a dog bark.

I cannot play this game unless you fix these sound bugs!

End.

So I've heard CD Projekt Red might be done making updates for Cyberpunk 2077. I hope they make at least one more update cause with the sprint bug and the sound bugs, I just can't play this game, the sprint bug drives me nuts, the sound bugs drive me nuts, if these bugs aren't patched then I'll have to pass on this game. Which would be a shame cause this game on Xbox Series X is just amazing to look at, the atmosphere, I mean I'll just walk around and it blows my mind cause the city truly feels alive, it feels like a living breathing city, it feels like a simulation of a city. This game is so amazing, it feels like a simulation of a city, which then makes me wonder about simulation theory. The theory that we might be living in a computer simulation. It makes me wonder to myself "Maybe I'm living a simulation? I mean how do we really know we're not?"

This game is amazing but if these bugs aren't patched then I just cannot play it. These bugs really really really irritate me.

How come these bugs haven't been patched yet? This game has been out for 5 years now. I mean this is unacceptable. These bugs need to get fixed as soon as possible. This is unacceptable.

I can't play this game if these bugs are not fixed.

Hey mods I wanted to create a whole new thread in Technical but I am new, so can you do that for me?

Thanks.

Edit: So CD Projekt Red support emailed me back and they said they will NOT fix the sprint bug and I told them that I will NOT be playing their game then. So yeah it looks like they're not going to patch it. The sprint bug is real but they're not going to fix it.

As for the sound bugs, well they aren't bugs but they are so annoying to my ears that I thought they were bugs. So hopefully they fix that. Like do I really need to hear a clicking sound as I'm moving around? Do I need to hear a clicking sound while driving the car? They should fix that.

My next step is, there are quite a few CD Projekt Red devs on X, I'm going to tweet them and give them the link to this here post, so I'll tweet them and personally let them know that because of the sprint bug (that they refuse to patch) I won't be playing their video game.

Because of this sprint bug I am NOT going to play this video game. And then that clicking sound while I'm simply moving around, that drives me crazy!!! That was so annoying to me I thought it was a bug. In the very least I want them to patch the sprint bug and fix that annoying clicking sound while moving around. I don't want to hear any annoying sound while moving around, not in a game where I might put 200 hours into it!

But I don't think they're going to fix this so I'm not going to play this game. Shame on CD Projekt Red!!! That sprint bug is real, and the fact they never patched it, shame on them! You think I'm going to put up with that? No thank you, I'm walking away.

Hi,
I also play the game on Series X and never encountered any issue with sprinting (I know some apparently have) but I'm not using an Xbox controller and don't use the sticks for LS/RS buttons.

So about the first sound issue, I don't remember hearing this kind of sound myself. But did you try to remove your jacket if you're wearing one? (you actually wearing, not in the wardrobe)
And the second sound issue, I could be wrong, but I think it's simply the gear shift you're hearing (switch in first person and check if it correspond to the gear changes).

In any case, be sure you tried to clear the cache if you didn't, it generally help when encountering issues.

I'll check and get back to you.

But one time I was driving a random car and I kept hearing what kinda sounded like a dog bark every few seconds or so. Ok I'll do what you said and get back to you. I'll be back.

As per the issues, I've not heard of any of these problems before. It's possible that the game has encountered some unique issues after the latest update -- especially if it's an older playthrough that has been updated multiple times.

Is Xbox the only platform you play on?

As for the sound issue: I'm not hearing anything like a "dog barking" in the vids.

Video 1: On foot, I believe the sound you're referring to is the clank of gear while you're moving around. Different ambient sounds will play depending on the type of clothing your character has equipped. Similar to the way plate armor will clank and clatter or the way mail armor will chink-chank as you run. Metal bits clattering around because of a harness, armor vests, etc.

Video 2: In the van, the "click" sounds like the stick being shifted into a different gear. It happens when you reverse, gun the engine, etc. Seems intentional and correctly timed based on your actions.

In video 1, that sounds like a bug to me cause it sounds so annoying. That's not a sound bug? In video 1, that sounds so annoying and repetitive to me that I thought it was a bug.

In video 2, someone said to go in first person view and see if he's shifting gears with his hand when the click sound happens, let me go do that and I'll get back to you.

As for the dog bark, if I ever encounter it again I'll record it.

As for the sprint bug, did you visit my reddit link? Visit the reddit link and read the comments please, you'll see many people are experiencing it. Someone said they're experiencing the sprint bug on PS5 as well. I've been told the sprint bug only happens on controller and doesn't happen on mouse and keyboard. The sprint bug is definitely real, go follow my reddit link and read, it was happening to me back in 2022 on Xbox One.

I only play on Xbox Series X with controller. I'm too poor to afford a gaming PC.

I don't know what to tell you about the sound issues. I understand it may be annoying to you, but I'm not hearing anything that sounds out of place or unusual in either vid. I think you may just find the sound design annoying! :(

A little research is showing that there are a few people complaining about this or that input not registering properly. I'd take that up directly with CDPR Support, as it seems there might be something about the way the controllers are registering on the console. (I've seen similar things occur on PC/console in the past, as the studio will sometimes make changes to the way controls work under the hood. My guess is it's something that will be rectified in a future patch.)

So for video 1, I took all my clothes off to where I was only in my undies and the sound went away so you were right it was being caused by the clothes. Even still, it's such an annoying sound, just go back and listen to video 1 again, it is such an annoying sound that I was convinced it was a sound bug. I hope they change that. Cause it's very annoying.

As for video 2, when I go into first person view, yes I can see it's the car's gears changing. Though it doesn't make any sense cause it's an automatic so why is it making audible clicks? I've never ever been in a car (that's an automatic) that makes clicking sounds. Weird design choice. And it was so annoying I thought it was a bug. They need to remove the clicks, it's an automatic and (automatic) cars in real life don't make clicking sounds, so why do that?

So this brings us to the sprint bug. The sprint bug is real and I hope they patch it cause I just can't play this game if they don't. The sprint bug is happening on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Playstation 4/5. I was experiencing that sprint bug back in 2022 on Xbox One. I can't believe they still haven't patched it.

Well I'll wait another week and I'll complain about the sprint bug again to support cause I really want them to fix it. It's unacceptable.
