You, me, people on Amazon, and other forums are all awaiting notice of this. Basically, none of us want to pay import prices or have the wait time, but we don't want the puritan version either. One thing we did just find out is that the U.S. version does not include a printed manual due to the box size. It would be nice if we could at least get a PM about the censorship issue if we asked.

I, for one, applaud all responsible for producing this Witcher Enhanced Edition.I've just finished the original (good timing). And, I'm going to buy the new version - no downloading, though of course I could.Because - all of you at CD Project Red deserve it!Well done!

That's pretty ghetto that there's no printed manual, but even so, I can deal with that so long as the US version's uncensored... sigh, guess I have to wait a bit longer. The game looks so damn good, though... I can't wait.

For now, the US version has the same edits that were made to the original version of The Witcher.

While the carefully stated information implies that they might patch in the uncensored stuff at some point... yeah, I'm going to be importing the UK version. I'll have to wait a bit longer, but I've been wanting to play the Witcher since I first saw it in 2005... what's a few more days?

I'm canceling Amazon and ordering from gogamer. This censorship fact and the no printed manual makes the extra cost and wait time a no brainer. Although $20 U.S. more increases the cost by 50%. If I knew for sure it was just the cards that were tamed down, then I would change my mind, but since nobody has actually stated the differences, we're kind of left hanging to fork over more money.

How does this work for the thousands of owners of OEM/bundled versions of the game? There is no registration key with these copies. Are we still eligible?

Somebody has to be blamed for how much this is gonna mess with my social life!!So here's the deal: Finally!!!! I've been waiting for over a month and a half now, but eventually it's going to be there. The Enhanced Edition!!! Yes!!! Yes!!!!I played through the game once now and decided to wait 'till the EE comes out so I would get all the good s**t for my second run. You guys at CDPR can't imagine how much you got me excited!I won't have any time left to eat, drink, sleep, go out, answer the phone, have dates with young, fine girls, jump out the window in case the house is on fire or anything else. The Witcher got me hooked for good. (Mom, in case you read this: don't worry, I'll still shower and shave..., yeah and I'll call...). I dunno what to do, I'm a slave to this god damn great game. However, on the 21st I gotta leave for a field trip with university for 10 days. Hell, 10 days no Witcher, no EE!!! :wall: After that it'll get even worse, 'cos classes are gonna start right away when we get back. And then there'll be exams :dead: I won't have time to play the game untill late October. So here's my plan: as soon as I got the EE downloaded and installed on the 19th, I'll play straight to the early dawn of the 21st without paying any respect for the physical needs of my organism. Two days and two nights... Even if I could speed things up I figure it won't be enough time to get the through the game.So again I gotta wait some time...But then... nothing can stop me, nothing, not a single event in the universe (even if they do create a black hole in switzerland) will stop me from playing the EE. I plan to move into a bunker in the rural Eifel (remote region in Germany with minimized gene pool) to play untill I die of old age or a sequel comes out. It'll be fun, I'll be lonley but happy ;D Somebody has to be blamed for my addiction to this game and maybe games in general, but I'll leave this to the folks that are gonna find me in 100 years tied to a then old fashioned notebook in a bunker in the woods.

I purchased this game about 2 weeks ago (got tired of the delays with STALKER: ClearSky to release here in North America, though playing that finally as well). Thought is was on sale but was just mis - shelved! Wow... the story, graphics, combat system, you name it - very compelling. It's like playing a movie. This thing grows on you quite fast. Censored here or not, it's a great game and story. I got hooked on RPGs earlier this year due to an April Elder Scrolls IV: Game of the Year Edition purchase (had seen a friend play on a giant television/PS3). First impressions in early 2007 was that The Witcher was just another slash and smash/monsters and magicians game. I stand thoroughly corrected. Now I find out that the Enhanced Edition is coming out! I am going to finish out the game in it's original form and will definitely do the download initially. I am tempted to purchase again for all the hardware.

That's a bit disappointing, but as long as it has the 2CDs of music I'll probably still buy it. ;)
