Hi!
Demo gameplay show stealth kills with weapon.
1607951717595.png

So now it not exist.
And weapon in stealth useless on hardest difficulty.
Three examples:
-Knifes. It looks very cool. Animations awesome. But even throwing in head from stealth can't kill anybody (even with passive skills. Maybe later it will be better). So you just lose knife and have zero profit. And any weapon better in close combat. So knives just nice toy.
-Pistols with silencer. Even with x3 damage it deals 10-30 percent damage. So stealth shot just trigger battle where pistol with silencer have damage debuff. So it's useless too.
-Monowire. Character hold it like wire from Hitman. Looks like i can strangle NPC with it. But i can't.

So in fact ANY weapon useless for stealth.
So no satisfaction from using stealth. It looks boring now. =(

I basically gave up on a stealth approach since all the weapons are useless so I just barrel in and kill everyone I honestly hope they fix this stealth system is heavily flawed and not fun.

My revolver 1 shots anything in stealth, 40K dmg. Heck it does nothing but crit using a suppressor.

Which character level?
Ok: revolvers (with passive skills from reaction branch?) and snipers rifle (looks weird in small rooms :D ).
But it sill looks like in Fallout 3 (12 years ago).
I mean it looks like we have only 1 complete way to play. Shoot\punch NPC right in face in open battle. Sad.

Yes!

Stealth sucks so bad. I wanted to play as a stealthy assassin but nope. Everything feels so bland. Game looks good on the outside but is very empty on the inside.

Well, this was "fun". 7 years waiting for this?

I'm lvl 45 with 20 reflex and every pistol perk maxed out. Also 12 in cool with passives "Silent and deadly", "Sniper", "Strike from the shadows" and "From the shadows". Also got mods for crit damage and a little crit chance. Basically I guarantee a critical hit with every shot.

Stealth with pistol or melee works fine. you can also go take down. so not useless.

You can still play Stealth using the most realistic approach which is getting from behind and subduing your enemies ( suppressed shots or ppl dropping on the ground is heard from pretty long distance ).

I've decided to play Stealth on "RIDERS ON THE STORM" mission and subdued every single guy except the sniper dude without much of issues.

The problem is the Fantasy RPG style damage design, it doesn't really work well in FPS with realistic guns vs humans in terms of realism.
According to the story you get shot in the head and die from an 9mm, then you shoot x15 .50 BMG bullets into dudes face who's w/o face shield or helmet and he only loses 20% of health. But ofcourse making it realistic would pretty much lose the value of skill tree and many different weapon models, it would become something like Escape From Tarkov ( which is not bad, would be actually interesting, but your level and skill tree would not matter as much, all would be up to gear and armor class/level, basically not much different from now only that u pretty much would die ALOT when facing multiple enemies if you're outnumbered or outgeared and some fights would feel like you're against a Tank w/ a 9mm pistol ).

Maybe the biggest problem is disappearing knives for me.
I mean - you can get visual satisfactoion and deep immersion by combat playing (finishers with animations, decapicatations. Maybe not realy awesome, but good)
But with stealth - mostly not (just like F3 and TES - backstab in ass doesn't looks nice =) Fun but not good in fact. But i lie about TES...Skyrim has finishers in stealth.)

You can't even re-stealth I think. Once an area is hostile after having been alerted it stays that way forever.

Maybe i played Tenchu for too many hours, but stealth is not so bad as i was worried. Still not what I would expected, but not so far from the Deus Ex franchies (tho Adam is far better then V).
Only thing missing are the weapons, especially lack of mantis blades - c'mon they look like they were made for this?

We can even seen them in action from behind in one of the missions :(

The thing that really bothers me is that throwing knives cannot be reused. You also have to go into your inventory to equip a new one each time. Like if I kill someone by throwing it into the back of their head surely I should get to loot the knife back?

I really hope they will add stealth kills with weapons... It is a bit sad otherwise, always breaking the neck of every enemy you find... If you mainly play melee stealth, it's a bit too repetitive...

I also hope if they add those, they will actually be silent. Because smashing the head on the ground or things like that , are not really...Quiet xD
