Steam Achievements NOT WORKING after 1.07

So as soon as 1.07 installed on steam I was ecstatic as it fixed one of the bugs I was facing. I have now played another 6 hours and completed the game on steam, however no achievement popped up... I have seen other people having problems with this also.

Can this be fixed asap in a hot-fix patch and done retroactively

p.s. if you dont care about achievements then don't post in this thread as I'm sure you must have better things to do than post in threads with topics you do not care for.

GOG Galaxy Achievements also seem broken. I did the Woodland Spirit quest, and it didn't pop up for me. I hope they retroactively fix this.
