Steam Installation Blue Screen of Death

I've installed and played this game successfully in the past.

Today I redownload (steam) for 2.0 of course, and half way through I get a BSoD? When I reboot Steam oddly says the game is installed. So I try playing it but get errors like .exe and other files not found. I guess it's because the installation was never complete, interrupted by the dreaded BSoD.

Again I'm not sure why this is happening because I installed it successfully in the past. And I'm pretty sure this is the cause because the only other thing I was doing was watching youtube.

Right click game in the steam and choose 'properties'. Choose 'local files' abd then 'verify integrity of game cache'. Steam will check your game's files and download/replace corrupt ones.

Anyway, what os are you running that you've seen bsod?

I'm sorry to hear you have problems on steam with TW2. Best thing you can do now is by going to your library and rightclick the game. Then choose properties > local files and choose "verify integrity".
(verifying game files used to be a problem due the 9GB re-download we had around the launch. Not sure if it still occurs. If so, please reinstall the game completely.

At the moment there is still no patch 2.0 available on steam, so I doubt you where installing it. the BSOD could have been caused by random hardware errors (hard drive, USB, videodrivers, Audiodrivers, memory faulting). Dozens of possible causes are possible in that situation.
