Steam refund

+
AFAIK, The refund policy was solely due to bugs/damage limitation/gesture of goodwill not because you played and didn't enjoy the game. Giving a refund under those circumstances would be like saying CDPR lied to you and mis-sold you the game and with the current legal challenges their faced with, it wouldn't be good for them to do that.

After 5 attempts trying to get a refund from steam they came back with the following instead of the previous 5 copy/pasted response about time played.

Hello,

I can understand you may be disappointed with the game not living up to your expectations, but we have not received any unique instructions how to proceed with refund requests and we are following standard refund policy for this product. As this is the case, you have accrued too much playtime to qualify for a refund. I know this is not the outcome you were expecting and for that I apologize. If anything changes, this will be surely announced by the publisher.

If you would like to discuss this further, we recommend contacting the game support. I hope that CD PROJEKT RED will be able to provide you with some sort of resolution, or at least provide more insight on your situation. If they respond and are unable to help, feel free to show us what they say and we will try to investigate further.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

I guess we just need to put pressure on CDPR.
I'd buy the game again in the future if its fixed but atm i want my money back for a game i was promised that was not delivered. I stopped preordering games long ago but i thought this was a safe bet. NEVER AGAIN! and if CDPR dont do something about this I wont by another one of there games ever.

27 minutes into the game and I refunded it just now, hope it works, because I accidentaly deleted it from my steam library before refunding, thought it was the refund option but it was not lol.
Anyhow, I have another steam account and on that I still have the game. I bought it 2 times on 2 different accounts, I refunded it on my main account, on the other steam account I have like 37 hours playtime. I keep playing it on the other steam account (for trying some things out and experimenting with the game xd).

I still had some shred of hope left ( before the "apology" video ) and finished the game - I had some fun so I decided not to refund, just stopped playing for now. Like Fallout 76, it has his moments, F76 was a dumpster fire at the beginning but they did improve it and release new things to do, for free. I'll definitely check CP2077 progress every now and then. After all we spend more in groceries in a week than the price of this game.

I asked for a refund after 20 hours and was denied 3 times. I knew it was not worth $60 after 6 hours but figured I had already played over 2 hours so I might as well give the story a chance. Anyway, the game is boring and repetitive. The story isn't good enough to sit through the talking segments and be forced to choose speech options that don't effect anything. Last CDPR product I will ever buy.
