Steam Sales 2013!

So much money have you wasted already? :p

Also The Witcher is at 4.99$ and The Witcher 2 for 9.99$ so for whatever reasons you want to get it now is the time!

Plus I'm hoping we get witcher trading cards on steam too, got 'em for Infinite yesterday, specially drawn by their concept artist :) Need to decorate my profile with witcher you know

Didn't GOG say that purchasing on Steam will create a backup on GOG, does that mean all the extra stuff like the Artbook as well?

Witcher trading cards would be nice with some cool profile backgrounds. Skyrim profile backgrounds are pretty useless.

but steams done a lot for PC gaming right?

Steam really has done a lot for gaming. Valve has insured that if the steam service would ever crash, they would still allow their members to redownload their bought games from the 3rd party vendors directly.

I'd be interested in buying Dishonored... but people went on and chose Borderlands 2 over DH. Damned ignorants.

Yeah that was crap, although I had pre-ordered Dishonored and played still voted for it, was one of the best games of last year and continues to be amazing. People should buy it and play it, if someone hasn't checked it out now is the good time to, plus 2 dlcs. First one is nothing great just challenges while the second is a story one and dam awesome as well, nearly as good as the main game itself! Waiting for the final(?) one which will continue it in some months.

I've PM'd MM360 about it sometime back, and he seemed to like the idea and said he will bring this up with the team. So hopefully, we should get some witcher wallpapers, emoticons and a shiny badge for our steam profile. So want it to happen *fingers crossed*

When it comes to buying the Witcher games, I would still recommend steam because you get two copies. If you think about it steam has helped CD Projekt RED tremendously in laying down its financial foundation, they have relied their sales from steam the most. Don't get me wrong, I love GOG for its DRM free content and I buy most of my classic games such as Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale. Either way, you support CD Projekt Red and GOG if you buy their games from either platforms.

That's because a lot of them had already bought Dishonored at a better price earlier this year; it wasn't at Steam, can't remember which digital store.

@ Zulama: true story.

I honestly think the video game industry is going to have another crash like the one in 1983. There are just to many AAA games coming out and if publishers can't keep up they will get bankrupt like THQ. The fact is that if there are a dozen AAA games being made only a select will end up making the money. Hence, why we are seeing so many good games being left behind by gamers. Many people would rather just stick with their own franchises. Example, COD players will keep buying COD.

Not very excited by the deals so far, I have to admit. My plan is to buy Dark Souls (which just happened!) and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron when they're a daily or flash deal. Other than that I wait for "OMG I CANNOT NOT BUY IT AT THAT PRICE!"-discounts.
So far it's mostly mediocre discounts (50% on Skyrim DLC during a flash deal making it $10, each - really?) and far too much indie stuff.

Couldn't be more ignorant and short sighted . I love GOG and CDPR and what they are doing but be practical , without steam PC Gaming couldn't have been what it is today . Everybody needs money and profit to stay in business . Most of the sales of PC Games come from Steam . I know different people have different opinions but one should not be so short sighted .
