The Batman games are good ports. I'd never play games of that kind with mouse/keyboard anyways so I don't know about controls, but the technical realization is outstanding: Improved textures, added PhysX-support, a decent amount of options (not just low, med, high), well-optimized.
About L.A. Noire: I loved it! It's a very different experience. It's not your typical action game, but a refreshing change! You actually collect evidence, draw your own conclusions, try to read people's faces and gestures (FANTASTIC animations!), try to find out what's true and what's not, plus there's a nice meta-plot about the player character - the only setback is that it gets quite repetitive after a while. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Edit: Concerning the X360 controller: If it's a wired controller, no problem, plug in and enjoy. If it's wireless, you'll need to buy an extra wireless connector from Microsoft. Attention: If you have a play&charge kit for the wireless controller, it won't work - the USB wire is only used to charge, the data is still transferred wirelessly.
