Still no Eyefinity support?
So its been 11 months since The Witcher 2 was released, and NVidia Surround has been supported and working since patch 1.2. But ATI Eyefinity has been ignored?
There was a fan made memory hack that allowed ATI users to play in eyefinity in patch 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2, but CD Projekt RED released a patch to stop it from working. In a post by an admin said they only implemented NVidia surround because they "received help from NVidia".
It took some random fan like 2-3 days to create a hack that allowed it to run in Eyefinity properly, and then instead of CD Projekt RED implementing Eyefinity support, they go out of their way to patch the game so the hack didn't work.
It wouldn't take CD Projekt RED long to implement Eyefinity, because NVidia Surround and ATI Eyefinity are practically the same thing, the only difference is the underlying technology that makes it work. If it works with NVidia Surround there should be no reason why it won't work with Eyefinity, unless they made it to work with specific driver IDs (NVidia driver IDs).
If a random fan made a hack easily in a few days and he had no knowledge of The Witcher 2 code, how much effort do you think would be required by the CD Projekt RED development team?

I used to think that CD Projekt RED was a company that supported its customers and listened to the community. they gave Australians a $25 off voucher at GOG because of the increased price in oceanic areas because of licencing issues, and they release free DLCs? But then they turn around and support Nvidia users and not ATI users?
As it stands now, i will be advising all my friends NOT to buy the Xbox360 version of this game, I'm not going to support a company that doesn't support all of its customers.

Did you ask ATI for help on implementing Eyefinity into The Witcher 2? if you did, what was their response?Flash said:Hey guys.
We have never claimed that The Witcher 2 will ever support Eyefinity. It's an additional feature in the game and an external technology - not our technology. Surround support is a result of help we received from Nvidia. It's thanks to their support we have this feature in our game. It's not about who we like better. We didn't choose Nvidia and they didn't pay us. They just helped us to get the best from their technology. We are open to the idea of adding Eyefinity support to our game but it's not entirely up to us.
