Story abilities in Witcher 2

Hello!

I wanted to ask if it would be possible to change the levels of the story abilities,
so they never fail (except for the occasions where they are supposed to fail). Or would it be possible to have the level 3 abilities from the beginning of a new game?

I mean the abilities when you are in a conversation and have
the possibility to persuade, intimidate or use Axii on the person.

In the geralt_basic.xml these abilities are called story abilities. Do I
have to change something there or in the basescript.dzip?

All story abilities are just one level except Intimidate, Axii and Persuade. each time you succeed on one of those, you'll get an amount of unknown XP point for that ability and so you can raise it to level 3.

Thank you but what I meant is if it's possible to tweak some files so
these three abilities never fail. It's pretty annoying when you hit on an option
and then it fails because this sometimes leads to disadvantages and I have to reload a
former save.

In geralt_basic.xml, did you try to replace the "s2_1" in
# zastraszanie lvl 1



by "s2_3"?

If that doesn't work and you are familiar with REDkit (w2phase scripting) have a look at sq102_party.w2phase, stepping down the
QuestGraphBlocks party -> drinking_part_one -> knives_minigames:



as an example for the QAddStoryAbilityToPlayer command.
