Story content you FEEL is missing [spoilers]

+
ME3: Vega doesn't respect Shepard at all in the beginning, he just has to go with him because he's in the military. You have to make him respect and like you over the course of the game.

What feels like cut or forgotten content to me:

- main quest: Evelyn vs Dex ends nowhere
- Voodoo boys vs Netwatch ends nowhere
- fixers never get introduced, they tell you you can visit them but nothing happens
- Cyberpsycho quest doesn't have a proper resolution - why make me hunt them if I don't get to know what Regina does with them in the end?
- Peralez quest: also ends up without a resolution - perhaps related to future DLC plans?
- sixth talent tree
- abilities you can unlock that you can't use anywhere in the game
- proper resolution to Clouds storyline - why doesn't it make any difference if Maiko lives or dies?
- everything Militec
- the whole rep system - they told us street cred would make a difference in how people treat you - no such thing. Related to this, the whole Afterlife feels dead. This is supposed to be the place where the most famous mercs in NC gather, why can't I team up with them for jobs? Why do they ignore me even with street cred 50?
- not sure if they cut content from the romance options or just didn't bother developing more in the first place, but both Kerry and River feel undercooked, the other two too, to some extend
- areas you can't enter or are only filled with filler quests instead of larger story quests
- Braindance: toutet as an important feature of the game, you don't use them nearly enough.
- uhm...sex. Two Joytoys in the whole damn city, Four romances and one fling. Maybe they shoulnd't have touted this as an important part of the game, but in a city rampant with sex ads, you'd expect a bit more in the game itself...
- endings don't make much sense and it feels as if the complete 3rd arc got axed

What we definitely got more than enough of: cars. Please don't make the small DLCs more cars....

I feel like a lot of content regarding Arasaka may have ended up on the cutting room floor. When the heist goes bad, Dexter is willing to cut you due to the heat you brought down on him from Arasaka. But, other than the on the rails sequence with Takamura and the Arasake CyberNinjas, I never get the feeling that Arasaka is actively hunting me down. I'm still able to move through the city with impunity, take contracts from fixers, and even return to my own apartment. I feel like there was a section of the story that is completely MIA that explains how you manage to get the Corp police off your back. I'm wondering if it has to do with the entire underground section that one Dev mentioned had to be completely cut because management thought it was not visually up to par.

Half the story is missing, that they are going to resell to us as DLC. When you think about it, we will end up paying $100-150 for the same sized story we got in the base Witcher 3. The story and major side content in CyberPunk and world size is the same as Blood & Wine, but we got that game for $20.

I might be in opposition but I think that part of making interesting believable world is leaving lots of question unanswered.
So Ido not mind most of tholse loose endsand even welcome them.

Except Cyberpsychosis which I really expected to have some conclusion and then... nothing.

And as others mentioned—the way every fixer called you to introduce themself is a bit weird. It feels the same like the false urgency of the main story. Gamey.
Fixer introducing and, in the same dialogue, invite me to their place to chat... ehh. And why are they even on the map? I would expect some dialogue that matters but there were none I could find.

Honestly the story and gameplay of hte Witcher 3 was sooooo stretched. I bought the game at pre-release and get all the DLCs but still haven't touch them. Because while the Blood Baron, the Witches, the court with the monsters and other things wee phenomenal, the rest was me wishing the game just ends already.

So I would rahter pay for better than more.

There's actually 2 more (high-class) Joytoys, but they are locked behind Kerry's quest.
But yeah, the number is kinda low in general.

Agreed with the rest of the points, like the Cyberpsycho questline that goes nowhere etc.

I've noticed a lot of content does feel a bit undercooked:

* No Meredith Stout other than the one night stand despite her offer to hire you in the future.

* A follow-up to Regina Jones researching the cure for Cyberpsychosis.

* The entire Peralez questline that presumably IS setting up DLC but even then, you'd think we could go after the Security Company for a lower level on the conspiracy totem.

* We never did get to investigate who killed the Mayor.

* Chrissy Whizzy promises you'll love her new Braindance video [presumably murdering her manager] but we never get to see it.

* Anything involving Morgan Blackhand.

Those, and its not Chrissy Whizzy but Lizzy Wizzy
But not for the brain dance for the proibability that she can become e serial Killer considering where she get the inspiration for her new song

I feel the whole beginning of the game is missing, about five months or so.. Compressed into a montage, much like this poor nobleman in The Witcher 3. Damn you Coral ;(

I keep on seeing Meredith Stout mentioned as someone who could stand to have more content, and while I do generally agree, I believe CDPR basically put themselves into a ME2/ME3 situation. Everyone could die at the end of the game in Mass Effect 2. So your romance could end up dead. This caused the ME2 romances to be particularly lacking in the content department in Mass Effect 3. Same thing is going on with Stout here. Because she could be dead, CDPR probably didn't wish to dedicate a lot of resources to her.

Although it would be interesting to see how many people have her alive/dead in their games.

I think that said six months probably consisted of, "Moving into Jackies", "Doing a mission for Padre."

In other words, I don't think it was actually that long.

Yeah I get that. My point is that the main story has huge pacing issues. The heist is too soon in my opinion. The whole game becomes a race against time, all the while your phone is burning with calls and messages from strangers. All I'm asking is a couple of quests to familiarize yourself with the city, V and some characters before you have to hurry off and help everyone and yourself last.

I believe (and I hope so much to be wrong ...) that the main quest will remain as it is, and that there won't be any dlc to "complete" it. It's clear that the game development was rushed for a variety of reasons. Build another 12-15 hours of missions that expand the main quest requires an amount of resources and time absolutely incompatible with the current technical state of the game... which is the first of their worries right now, and will occupy most of the resources, efforts and focus in the months to come (I'm not even confident that they will are able to fix the embarrassing AI of traffic/npc and enemies., they practically have to rebuild it from 0...) All the additional contents (the juicy ones, not little things like weapons/armors and stuff like that) are a very distant utopia given the premises, an utopia that perhaps we will never see materialize, or at least not in an "acceptable" time frame after EIGHT years of waiting...this game would have required at least another 2 years of hard work to represent what they made us believe it was! they will never be able to plug that black hole with a couple of expansion packs.

My two cents

Story feels this way because its more or less was scraped and then put together in two years. Its think its easy to assume that game had no clear vision what do it with itself, there are ton of cool opportunities yet none are used or barely scratched. I dont think game is ever gonna feel finished even with future contents, as i think there should have been meaninful mechaniqs which progressed along the story and i doubt you can fix it patches

I'd love to have content where the Voodoo Boys aren't complete dicks and you can do some cool netrunning stuff with them. It could start with a member hiring you to help with a bloody coup.

The only story element I feel is missing would be the entire Life Path system. 260 hours with this game and Life Paths are still the most useless bit in the game. I really wanted a "Syndicate" themed game with Corpo. Mad Max-style with Nomad. Streetkid is fine. Most of the thematics within the game seem to fit Streetkid.

There was a HUGE missed opportunity with Life Paths. Each path should have been a completely different angle on the story.
