Strange Launch Problem?

Hi, i recently bought Witcher 2 and installed it, I the needed to upgrade my version of windows, upon my new version i retrieved the witcher 2 folder out of my windows.old file, and placed it into my new all programs file, yet there seems to be a problem, when i first double clicked the launcher it came up with missing .dll file which was no problem, and i quickly found this file online downloaded it and placed it in my witcher 2 folder, yet now when i go to run the witcher 2 launcher it does nothing, just my cursor gives a quick load icon, and nothing happens. If i go in the bin file in the witcher 2 folder and try the configurator it says it could not find a valid witcher 2 installation. Yet i can run witcher 2 from the .exe found in the bin folder. The problem is though i can't modify graphic options properly, as i can't run the launcher.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would say that reinstalling the game should fix the problem .

I was planning on doing so, problem is i bought a digital collectors edition on some site i don't usually, and you download directly from them, problem is they only seem to let you download from them once, and i deleted the installer before i realised this, i'm sure i can just contact them and they'll get me a new mirror or something but i'd rather not wait days to do that, and was just wondering if someone knew a fix.

I may just end up editing the .ini files instead for my graphical needs, and just always launch from the .exe.
