stuck after opening the gate

HiI am having a problem after I open the gate and everyone runs through (Prolouge). They keep talking but the screen goes black and I cant any of the comand buttons on the top left or top right of the screen. Im not sure if this part of the game or if its a bug. I can only stop the game by using ctrl,alt ,delete, making me think something is wrong.I did download the patch but I get the same results.Any info on this would be appreciated.Thanks
