I saw some news that The Witcher 3 will get native cross-platform mod-support and I want to ask if Cyberpunk 2077 will also get it in the future?
It's not (Nor really, is ever) about "If it works".I assume yes. If it works fine on The Witcher 3, it's very possible Cyberpunk 2077 will receive the same cross-platform mod support in the future![]()
For The Witcher 3, if CDPR announced mod support, it's likely because it's fine for PS and Xbox. I'm pretty sure mod support is not really a problem, as long as studios take in charge everything and commit to ensuring that available mods comply with the rules. It's not (Nor really, is ever) about "If it works".
Yes. But that's for Witcher 3.For The Witcher 3, if CDPR announced mod support, it's likely because it's fine for PS and Xbox.
Again, just because ONE game got mod support, doesn't necessarily mean another game will.Anyway, if mod support works great on The Witcher 3, we can have good hope that Cyberpunk will also receive the same feature at some point.
I never said it's guaranteed, simply that there is a chanceThere is no guarantee that because Witcher 3 got the green light, that CP2077 will.
Which is the point I'm making.I don't see any reason why Sony/Microsoft would refuse.
You have some examples to provide?I've seen plenty of games never get mod support for no apparent reason. Simply because console manufacturers decided they didn't want to allow that particular game to get mod support.
