Suggestions for Cyberpunk 2077 moving forward

Added - Weather system "seems like it only rains/sand storm triggering certain quests" would be cool to have it every now and then
 
I would like to see more interaction with Delamaine. more specifically make it where instead of gaining the vehicle have him be a character you can call and will fight with you at certain times. You can call it a lifetime subscription to the Excelsior package on the house for saving him. Or at least something like that. Maybe even include him in some kind of future main mission in a DLC.
 
Wow! I see developers already have a handful... Well, I still going to share my constructive comments. I hope they come in useful.


1) It would be great if depending on circumstances, some enemies that flee from battle or get incapacitated would get vengeful and try to assassin you in any place at any time - even during day and surrounded by crowd (try to defend yourself without hurting civilians).

2) Remember Judy humming the song under water? Also, the psycho that killed the mayor was also singing a song. What if there was someone sending subliminal coding (for example: by means of a melody) to targets via net, substituting some of their memories and subverting their will, turning them into criminals. The victim does not know that the reason for new scary media headlines and possibly new psycho-pandemic is actually her/him. We love Judy. Imagine how thrilling and heartbreaking would it be to go through this rollercoaster with her, get suspicious of her and hopefully save her from a possible real death! Did she really set on fire public property and harm someone, or was it some other "Manchurian candidate"? With her kind nature, it will be a thrill to help her to get to the bottom of it!

3) Judy... Marriage between this character's visual design, voice acting and created personality is just so realistic that it will be a shame not to push it to the limits. She is brave but impulsive; clear Artemis archetype; a kind-hearted person. There are plenty of mean individuals that would love to take advantage of that! She is very believable, charismatic and life-like! So, let's get her in "at the edge of a blade" action, serious, thrilling, heartbreaking and with a very high possibility to loose her forever! This might just turn the wonderful character we love, into one of the most iconic and beloved characters in gaming industry! More mature social drama, more thrill, more true empathy! This is an adult game after all. So, let's save our beloved damsel in destress from some real dangers and build up a relationship with her more intensely!

4) It would make sense if inflaming and electrocuting Quick Hacks would partially ricochet from enemies to nearby inflammable objects and ignite or explode them. Plus, adding a spreading fire effect would be incredible!


5) (SPOILER!!!) Romantic and thrilling dates! It would be great to invite the romantic partner of your choice to "the concert", or to any other event of your choice - depending on what your partner might like. There are some dance floors, bars... at least one drive-in theater. To get to know each other and actually bond. We sort of do that with Jackie, which is why we care for him! Why not do the same with the target of our affection?

Big related issue: There is no bond between Judy and V - no time for them to get to know each other; no truly dramatic narrative about the two of them evolving into a couple; no rescue of damsel in distress; no heart to heart conversations, which will also get us closer to them; etc.

Judy is portrayed as a very caring and kind person. But when V falls unconscious once, twice... She does not worry at all. She is a hacker and has access to serious intel, or knows people like that. There could have been a whole chapter about her getting you new information, specialists and missions, trying to help you the best way she can. Internal struggle, true danger, character development, BONDING! How awesome would it be!

Instead, she rejects you completely and right next morning says "Well that is all!". And, what is a complete kick below the waste, when you call her afterwards, she tells you that there has been a shootout in Japanese district and asks if you had anything to do with it.. in a way, which clearly shows that she already knows the answer. There is no bond what so ever, even in the end! You are clearly still only a mercenary, a cold-blooded killer to her.

6) Affection level might be implied as well! If we could only feel in conversations - during and outside of missions; on the phone and in person - that we are getting closer to the person's heart. The more you do things together and the more you talk, the closer you get to each other!

7) So far we only receive opportunities from our romantic partners. How about we have a choice to invite them to missions with us - almost any missions! That would actually bond us with them! It would be great if we could have some conversations during missions to learn more about them and teach them about us; also to teach the player about our protagonist: the past and current dilemmas that are boggling her/him. Once again, we are already doing something like this with our buddy Jackie, which is why we learn to care for him! Let's do the same for our romantic partner!

8) Recollection of passed events!!! Almost every game on the planed is flawed in this sense!!! Let our romantic interest and other individuals call us or tell us in person, or brag to others in front of us, about how awesome was this or that; that our character did something good or bad - criticism and response to it will only add dimension to the characters! It would also be great if we could hear our character talking to her-/himself and pondering on some ideas: in a thought provoking or even tragic/worrying manner (building up tension for future missions and events that most likely, but not certainly, will happen), or in a humorous way. Imagine: you and V are in the battle - guns blazing - and V is thinking to him-/herself if last date went well, or what would be cool to do together next time; will the partner get scared or not... Then Johnny says: "Pardon for being insensitive to your personal life, but could we just focus on our survival... for now?"

9) Sex-based Romances = no freedom of choice. After over hundred hours, we already made our pick, adding new romantic interests will not take away the disappointment and bitter aftertaste. Please make an option to unblock this undeserved punishment for those who supported you in development. I still have the final mission to finish and plenty of side missions, but I lost my interest in going through with them. Romantic interest and dangers related to it are the biggest motivators to push us forward through the story and you just took it away.
If player is unaware of this locked system and with it of the absence of freedom, than he/she will be building their character the way they feel right; investing real-life time, efforts; not getting enough real-life rest in order to finish missions in the best way possible; not to mention they paid the same amount for the game and have a full right to enjoy it just as much as everyone else. And what do they find our closer to the end of the game - a very unpleasant surprise with a bitter aftertaste! Their character has an "empty home": rejected by his loved one, best friend died, Johnny quite possibly also gone... So, no home to go to! What did player pay such price for? That is not the dream they were building! Remember Mass Effect saga? They managed to please everyone and not lock anything from anyone. Please, unblock this system and add more bonding opportunities!

10.) Similarity of Judy's humming melody and the one of the conspirator killer that tried to murder mayor, gave food for thought that they both might be programmed drones that do bad things unaware. Every cyberpunk universe needs its reclusive maniacal puppeteer and unaware puppets: like in many books and anime like Paprika, Ghost in a Shell, Armitage III, and others. This could really bring some personal drama and thrill to Judy's or any other character, making them much more life-like.

Something tells me, these additions just might lift the story immersion aspect a bit higher!

Dear Developers, thank you very much for this game! It is simply a marvel! I can just enjoy listening to a story by W. Gibson and just walk around the town, or turn on Blade Runner soundtracks and walk around industrial areas... A dream come true! The world is incredible! Just please add more emotional ties between us and characters.

Continuation story after ending.

The way I see this working is right after creating your "V" you get to create another character with the same choices as you did for creating "V". This other character depending on role selected will have side missions for you in the game, romance options, and could receive a gift from V before/after V's final mission according to their role selected at creation. This would allow continuation of the game without major rework to V's storyline, and also act like V is helping to pass the torch. Kinda like how Jackie helped V get setup in NC.

Then after V's ending the player can begin playing this other character. This other character would then have the level the player reached as V, along with the option to select abilities/perks according to the level reached as V, and any crafting schematics obtained as V would also transfer (still crafting of said schematics would be dependent on level of ability/perks selected however).

This would then allow players to continue to play indefinitely without being stopped by V's ending or looping back just before V's final mission.

I hope you don't take this negative as i rlly like your post as much as i love the ideas we have to accept the fact that they are not gonna go into develpment to make a love story for us more than it already is what i mean is they gonna add what they already had done in the cut content or dlc's/expansions that they already worked on, the game is already 30h so the next coming months will be critical for content since people want more things to do if Judy has other lines then they gonna add em but i doubt veeeeeery strongly they'll focus development on Judy/Panam maybe few more lines and text will be added but hanging out with your partner,having sex option yeah i think this will end up just being a mod on nexsus sadly
all we can do is throw ideas and hope that one of them is on that cut content list and ofc Quality of life fixes. I HOPE IM WRONG

I would like to see a 3rd option in the camera options in photomode for a 360 degree panorama. Like set the FOV to 360 in both axis and remove the character and freeze the game so you can make nice panoramas. Nvidias Ansel mode does not work which I have used in fx. Witcher 3.

It's a hassle making them, removing all UI elements and make sure you didnt leave a spot somewhere. Had to resize it down to 35% or it would not upload.

I really want saves to get a seperate "folder" for each character, and the option on the loading screen to select on the loading screen for which character I want to see my saved games.
My final save for my first character is somewhere around ManualSave#200. My final save for my second character is probably going to be somewhere around ManualSave #600. Didn't start my third playthrough yet, but I imagine you can see the problem, if I want to continue a specific character once the DLCs are added: I will have thousands of savegames for several characters, all on one big pile.
Should be possible to sort that out. Physically seperate folders for each "new game" should be the most convenient to implement.

WARNING! If you dont know what the below scripts do on PC then just dont do it.

I have made .bat files for different saves I use and place them outside of the save folder and make folders for the different chars I play like a folder called "!01FemStreetkidV" in the same folder as "CD Project Red". For this to work you would have to delete (preferably rename so you dont delete your saves) or rename the "Cyberpunk 2077" folder as it is only linking to a folder containing the saves.

It will output the latest link and some text in the "00_Character_LifePath.txt" so I can easily see what it currently links to.
Image of how my "CD Project Red" folder looks like below. The "Cyberpunk 2077" folder is a link and not a real folder but the game think it is.

So fx. make a folder outside in the "CD Project Red" folder and name it somethinglike "MyNewCoolCorpo" or something and edit a bat file with some text in
set charname=sometext
so you know what the save is about and in linkfolder type in
set linkfolder=MyNewCoolCorpo
if your save folder has spaces in it you have to put quote marks around it like
set linkfolder="My New Cool Corpo"
make sure you either renamed "Cyberpunk 2077" to something else or delete it if you dont have any saves in there.
run the bat file and it should make a link named "Cyberpunk 2077" that the game believes is the save folder but its actually pointing to the "MyNewCoolCorpo" folder. so if you delete the linked folder "Cyberpunk 2077" it wont delete the folder containg your saves ie. "MyNewCoolCorpo".
And if you make several bat files and folders for your other saves you only need to run a bat file to switch characters and start up the game.

Added Monowire rewamp "needs more function i found it very disappointing it needs stealth mechanic or anything at this point than what it does right now, seems to scale damage on Blunt, and levels Street Brawler and stacks with Cool damage which i find super confusing because i thought there was some kind of stealth mechanic to it but no its literally like any other melee weapon Loud"

Free DLC's before expansion should add:

-New story arc with main and side missions that takes place 6 month after to prepare the game for the expansion
-Transmog system for clothes. To unlock the appearance u must loot the item first (basically like WoW)
-Posibility to test clothes before buy.
-Eating and drinking interactions.
-4 new romances in the new arc:
Takemura and Vik Vektor for Female V
Misty and Sandra Dorsset for Male V

-Gambling systems (arcade machines and a futuristic Gwent)
-Pub games (darts, pool...)
-Fight clubs in pacifica
-NPC, police and traffic AI enhanced.
-Driving enhanced.
-Lots of bug and glitch fixes.
-More street Races
-Ability tree redo.(lot of OP skills and lot of useless skills)
-Enemy takedows based on weapon equiped.
-Ability to call and hang out with your romances or friends around the city.
-Custom car radio station
-Street cred and karma system with local gangs.

I can dream but to be realistic this is what we are going to get:
-1 new car
-A cosmetic hat
-An iguana pet for our apartment.

Dear PoppyRunner, please do not worry. You are being honest and very proper with the expression of your thoughts. Sharing opinions is why we are all here - it is highly therapeutic, when done properly, the way you and I do right now. )

The idea you expressed is probably what will happen. But, Witcher 3 all in all was in development for few years after release. Cyberpunk 2077 is a long way from its ultimate shape. I will be patient and respectful towards CDP's choices - they know best what is more urgent. I only hope that my character finally has a home to come back to, that his/her motivations are more pure than were in the beginning and resembling his/her and my own attachments in the story - well, my story really.

I am a big fan of technocratic philosophic science fiction: Harry Harrison, Philip K Dick, William Gibson, Azimov, Lem and others. I was waiting for this marvel my entire life. I am grateful that it is this good and I can immerse myself in it. But, I got carried away, believing that I can shape the story how I see fit. I forgot that there might be implemented limitations. I only hope my inner V eventually gets his version of happy ending - family, friends, sense of conclusion.

I mostly agree with the collected update list so far I and wish only few of them would come into reality. If I could add something I would mention the Brain Dance system. Make te BrainDance option an actual BrainDance ability based on Intelligence and Techabilities. Something that lets you look into the head of others and extract certain memories as a BDs or the ability to manipulate characters by using BDs. Actually I would be sattisfied with only watching BDs. As of now, you can allready buy BDs and find diffend BD devices in the Game. There is also runnig advertisement for BDs on TVs. This would also add to the futuristic theme of the Game. Also, I always asked myself, this is supposed to be sciences-fiction right? Where are the laser, taser, coilguns? I also would like to have more futuristic looking head wear or general clothing options. Like why do look helmets, you can actually equip in the game like second hand helmets from the 20th century or even older (samurai)? Netrunner suits are a nice start only. I wanna have light emitting clothes, tatoos in the game, like some NPCs and Rouge allready have. Also I would like to add a body costomization option. Like where on this world we have a town without any barber, tattoshops, fingernail stylist, make-up shops, or hairstylists? The tech color is just one aspect of it. Oh and please correct in your list that there are only 2 interactive joy toys in the Game. There are 4 in total. You have to find the more expensive ones though and 4 are still unacceptable for an mega town like NC is supposed to be 😉 .

I agree with you brain dance system should be a thing especially when there are shops that sell you brain dances i will add it to the list at some point
