I want another matter to the discussion (will update OP with it). The prostitutes.

Why are there only two NPC's you can interact with to initiate sex? Isn't the whole city cramped with prostitutes or what? I don't really understand it.

For me the reason is more than obvious: censorship again. When you put ONLY two NPC's that you can interact with, far away from the main story and 1st moments of the game, you "hide" those NPC's.

Imagine if you were able to hook up with any prostitute during your first visit to Viktor's (main plot progression). That street is filled with prostitutes, yet you can't really have sex with anyone. Why? These prostitutes don't really act any different than the two that you can interact with, (the ones that are far away, hidden from main story) they would invite you to their place and that's it.

I'm 100% sure the original idea was for you to be able to initiate sex with any prostitute <is prostitute=true> and allow players to interact with them. Not so hard... and VERY easy to censor.

Yes, you are definitely right. Now as you mention it, I tried to enter the club three times that is beside Viktor's location but the dude did not let me in. I thought, maybe this is no club and there must be some at a different location. Now it make sense that the prostitute setting that we also had in Witcher 3 is missing completely... but I really expected this! I mean, the game is for mature audience only, so please just give us what mature people can do. We have lockdown and anything and can't even go out in Night City in the way we want it :ROFLMAO:

You can see your dingdong in the character screen. So it's technically not censored.

But as you can see, the general understanding and expectation here, and I am pretty confident in general in the community, people were expecting full nudity in free roam mode. Sure we can use the arguement that they never specified, but all logical conclusions, starting from character creation options to actually words used in advertisement, people's expectation was valid. Most obvious example is the guy in the tub during the rescue mission.

There is no denying that the universal conclusion from day one that the inconsistent underwear was a bug. It was simply not considered that it could be intended censor.
Yet here we are, half a week later we get a random csual confirmation with a smiley face.
As I have stated many times before in other threads, it's about principal.
CDPR made us believe one thing, and then gave us something else. And I'm sorry, but if they cannot deliver such a simple effortless thing, why should I believe they will put effort into other parts of the game that require much more effort/time/money.

The full nudity in roaming mode was cleary implemented in the game already. All the glitchesand previsous preview of the game indicate it.

One can look at it the other way around and I can most def say that the expectations from this game was sky high!

It might have been a marketing stunt, or perhaps the devs genuinely, and without any other hidden meaning, actually meant that the players can customize genitelia and view it in the inventory screen and thats IT!

And as usual, the media coverage can blow it out of proporsion, claiming and twisting things the devs have said, have you also thought about this?

Yes, I agree, the game has been cut, and rushed, and what not, its not a BAD game, but its not what we expected either way, and there are the other people in the category, the ones that had SOARING expectations of the game.....

Yes, you might be right, also it is plain as daylight that the game is not fully finished yet, that does not mean the game is censored by any means....

Also, not to preach, but CDPR might not actually want to have to their name, the most vile, and deboucherous game ever made....so that is also on the table...I dont remember very well but in TW3, besides the 3 main witches, and 1 brothel in the city..how many options for prostition were left?

If the censorship was added to appease a specific region, we could forgive them for it... IF they remove the censorship for unaffected regions.

And how does that change anything? Even if it was the media who blowed it up, (which I don't agree with) the expectation was clear, and it was clear what expectation CDPR had to fulfill. Even if it was a "mistake" to word it the way they did things, it still happened. And here we are yet again.
Like it literally doesn't matter why people expecting something. They were expecting it. And from everything we saw, CDPR has actually did put it into the game at one point. Only to remove it in a very poor fashion. Leaving an even bitter taste in the mouth after all the dissapointment and bad PR moves.

Also the nude guy in the ice tub in the old trailer is a clear example and literally undicussable proof that nudity in the open world was indeed intended from the getgo. Only to be censored later.

I dont really care about full nudity. If I need porn - I'll just watch porn. If I need sex - I'll go to my gf.
But the rest of things in this "missing features list" makes me wonder - why did CDPR even bother with this "big open city"?
It could be just a corridor linear shooter, where you just walk forward and kill stuff.
This whole city feels pointless. Why its there? Why it was made this big? What for?
To make us spend extra time, getting to "another shoot some ppl mission" - increasing the length of a "playthrough"?

While I don't really understand the comparison between immersive ingame nudity and porn or sex, you are pretty right about the city.
As things stand atm, the map is only there to delay your arrival to the last act after what I consider a fairly short main campaign. And personally the ending of the game killed off any motivation left to go back and explore the city further.

See? That's the issue with your thought process, that's the excuse they make to censor content, they believe everything is to just "rub one out", that's so childish and immature....

Nudity as a whole is so much more than sex, and this is something that has to be learned during your teens, it's about how your parents... parent their children. Values, respect.

THIS:

THIS ^ is censorship, and it's what's being discussed here, not how well or how bad you are able to "pleasure yourself with videogames". That guy on the tub was naked, like the girl under him, both in the 2018 E3 presentation and during patch 1.03. I came back to check performance and because I noticed a "quicksave-0" I have there (I don't use quicksave in this game because I don't like to have 10 slots of those), anyways, as you can see, it was censored.

Why would he be censored? I just don't get it lol, it goes beyond me! Who are the conservative puritans that are forcing CD Projekt into censoring their artistic vision, man? It really is infuriating!

Drug dealers on the street are selling candy. I know that the dealer is sometimes called "Sugar Man" but CDP pushed it too far.

Thats it.. just This...

Since I stopped progressing after 1.04 and tried a new lifepath and this was one of the biggest "W T F'S" I had in a long time. Post censorship. Sorry but it just feels like totally scam. The story and characters can as interessting as they want, I cant get myself over it to progress further I simply cant... I waited just too long for uncutted, non censored IMMERSIVE CP2077.

I get it, ok? :D I'm 32, so I well understand these things. I just don't care about this particular "feature" in games.
Yes, it'll add more immersion, but lets be honest here - there's a bunch of kids playing this game, who just want tits for the tits.
But I really miss an option to go to billyard, or bowling, or casino, or restaurant. Or anything fun, and not involving shooting.
P.s. hope I wrote it "understandable" :D English is not my native

This issue has become bigger than it should be.
What does it mean to be naked in the inventory and to wear underwear in the game ? This is ridiculous
Give us the option to choose what we want.
CDPRD, Listen to the players what they want. They are the ones who will buy your games at the end
+ Your game is full of bugs you want us to pay more money to fix your game ?!

No, you don't get it... that's the thing, you and I have very different values and opinions, you believe people that are naked are sexualized and looking for a fuck, when it's actually not the case. I also want more minigames, but then again, how many minigames The Witcher 3 had? Not so many, right? If you want to play GTA, go play GTA.

Going back to the topic at hand, if you can't really understand the problem with censorship, I can't really explain it to you. It's something as I said, that needs to be learned at a younger age, your values are sexualized and you aren't really able to separate sex and nudity. You just claimed teenagers just want to see tits, and that's precisely the same you said before, only that this time you felt offended that I confused you by one...

That's subjective. By my estimation, nudity is not such a huge taboo in Cyberbpunk 2077's world and V is constantly engaging in far riskier behaviors than taking off clothing in inappropriate places. She lets shady ripperjacks literally replace parts of her body. She directly connects her mind to a variety of potentially malware laden devices. She lets people root around in her head. Depending on the choices you make through the game, she's quite alright with literally murdering people. Nudity should barely register on her radar with all that going on and there are scenes where it would be thematically appropriate... like visiting ripperjacks and taking a dip into ice.

Besides, it's an open world game with significant character customization. Being able to play it the way we want is expectation. The nudity and related themes were a big part of the marketing for the game. Pulling back on that is a bait and switch.

I don't really understand the concern for nudity, tbh.
You guys wants to explore the world being nude, is it a nudist dream or something ?

Let me rephrase :
- CP2020 doesn't show people running around naked.
- Main strengthes of CP2077 is it's true to Pondsmith's world.
- Running around naked in CP77 should provoke about the same reactions of the crowd than irl today.

So, you just want 2077 nudist simulator IMO.

And no, that's not because there's a lot of pr0n in CP's world that people runs around naked. Try to visit red ligth districts in Europe for exemple, and do tell me if you see people running around naked in the streets, for exemple. You won't see this in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels or Barcelona.

As I said back in steam is not about V being nude. It's about clear censorship that breaks immersion in "red light" streets for example, and the trans humanism which was heavily cited, in a world that is clearly overly sexualized.

I understand the external pressure to take this content out of the game. What I don't understand is the mods CLOSING the thread which discussed this. There are interviews from higher ups specifically talkin about how nudity is a part of the world's design and helps construct the narrative. It's not my words, it's the own devs higher up words.

Now worst than that are people going full "middle ages" and reducing everyone who touch this subject to a simply pervert who want polygon nudity, as our friend Arcafonk here.

Anyway, I have said a lot on this subject both here and on steam. I was just astonished to see CDPR devs closing the thread like they aren't even open for dialogue. This launch proved CDPR is not our friend by any means and should be treated with 6 steps back, with carefulness because they are not open for dialogue, and will knowingly engage in lies against the community.

What? I said that I want tits, or what? I don't even understand what are you talking about.
I said - I don't care, ffs.
But the majority of player base - kids. And I don't see any problem with censoring this "feature".
And all these complains about not being able to see your char's "pee-pee" makes me smile.
And no. I dont want to play GTA. I want a "lively city" that we were promised.
Actually, I can answer to you in the same fashion - if you want to see your char's "ding-dong", go play Conan Exiles.

Now when we know that "underwear issue" is not a bug:

I believe the community must know why we can customize penis/vagina but must see V in underwear as well as all other NPC in the game.

The game is 18+, so what the reason?
Was it a lie in a face of your players, CDPR?

Just need an explanation for such move. Why adults ppl can't see genitals in a video game (18+) but can see blood, dildos, drugs, prostitutes and so on.

And because I can't get money back from this one it means I have to take it out in the future. I'm not going to buy another one of their products until it's at least 50 percent off on Steam sales if I buy it at all.
