For me the bigger problem then this censorship pain in a**, it's censorship imposed more on guys than on women. Which is in The Witcher 3 was nothing strange for me, it amuses me here that, among other things, the first person we save is completely naked, and the man next to her is not (although they could only show their buttocks as if they had a problem with something more). I don't totally understand it. And the situation where V can't be naked in the game but can be in inventory, and we have several options in the character creation option, is a laugh to me.

Going back to the topic at hand, if you can't really understand the problem with censorship, I can't really explain it to you. It's something as I said, that needs to be learned at a younger age, your values are sexualized and you aren't really able to separate sex and nudity. You just claimed teenagers just want to see tits, and that's precisely the same you said before, only that this time you felt offended that I confused you by one...

Lemme do it for you at least I try to explain, because I think I get what you mean and agree fully.


CP2077 got advertised since y e a r s, as an open world game in a future with a massive IMMERSIVE gameworld. Its dark and dangerous and collects the absurdest, creepiest behaviours and thinkings of humans.
Because as mentioned, you can push technology, you can transform your body into whatevever being, but at the end you are a human, with animalistic instincts and desires. Doesnt matter how far transhumanism is kicking in (and CP2077 is around that topic)

I do work as Personal Trainer and some times group trainer in gyms, I see bodyculture already, I'm used to see naked and half naked bodies, its natural, hell, at home I walk around naked too after a shower sometimes - my body is more than a sexual object, it is a form of art.
And even in our time you can already see, that bodyculture, transformations ... its slowly starting, and CP2077 shows perfectly what can happen in a future if such stuff is getting completely extreme and becomes mainstream in the society.
So yes especially in CP2077 nudity and sex are 2 seperate and important things and CDPR advertised exactly such a world for y e a r s. And that immersion is completely... its just not there. Its an completely empty world.


And yes, taking a drink in a bar/club or eat food on a diner with a great view on a city, or play games are stuff that also just belongs in this game that got advertised as "immersive" open world (do you guys remember the statement: the world wont be really large, but it will be full and immersive. Sadly it isnt) You can even see on many many buildings that they planed that you can get into them, now just "locked".

I don't see how V's personality (as written in the story) validates complete nudity outside his/her flat.

It's not just V that has been censored, but NPCs too who are meant to be nude for immersion.

That's subjective. By my estimation, nudity is not such a huge taboo in Cyberbpunk 2077's world and V is constantly engaging in far riskier behaviors than taking off clothing in inappropriate places. She lets shady ripperjacks literally replace parts of her body. She directly connects her mind to a variety of potentially malware laden devices. She lets people root around in her head. Depending on the choices you make through the game, she's quite alright with literally murdering people. Nudity should barely register on her radar with all that going on and there are scenes where it would be thematically appropriate... like visiting ripperjacks and taking a dip into ice.

Besides, it's an open world game with significant character customization. Being able to play it the way we want is expectation. The nudity and related themes were a big part of the marketing for the game. Pulling back on that is a bait and switch.

It's probably not a huge taboo, but nobody walks on streets with their dongs out. V isn't written as a psycho or a nudist, so no... It doesn't make any sense for her to expose him-/herself like this in public.

And I'm really tired of this nonsensical argument "murder is normal, but nudity isn't". Like people choose to completely ignore context. Nudity is normal, but there's time and place. Killing is part of life too, but it doesn't mean you can kill anyone without consequences. CDPR didn't remove nudity, they just didn't allow it where it shouldn't be within context of the game.

You guys wants to explore the world being nude, is it a nudist dream or something ?

Let me rephrase :
- CP2020 doesn't show people running around naked.
- Main strengthes of CP2077 is it's true to Pondsmith's world.
- Running around naked in CP77 should provoke about the same reactions of the crowd than irl today.

So, you just want 2077 nudist simulator IMO.

And no, that's not because there's a lot of pr0n in CP's world that people runs around naked. Try to visit red ligth districts in Europe for exemple, and do tell me if you see people running around naked in the streets, for exemple. You won't see this in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels or Barcelona.

I also won't see adds like in Night City anywhere in the world atm. But you must have missed the memo about this world being a distopian future where objectifying and sexualizing the human body is a very common and legit marketing. Sex and nudity is literally part every person's life in the city. Kids being exposed to Watson's whore and Mt Stud adds too.

Like we literally don't need to justify why censorship has no place in Night city. And no we aren't talking just about the player character at all.

You're forgetting that they also don't allow nudity where it SHOULD be within the context of the game. V can't even strip in the shower or before sitting in a tub of ice water. Actual strippers in the game can't strip.

The clearest and most obvious example of the censor is the dead guy with his undies in the ice tub during the rescue mission. I guess the considerate scavangers didn't want to be inapproiate by letting his penis touch the poor woman's thigh.

There is nothing to discuss here tho. They promised full nudity options. They have clearly implemented it into the game before. You have an option to turn it off in CC so people who are not "degenerate pixel porn addicts" can turn it off and enjoy it dick free.
We simply ask to keep their words and gives up back the nudity option.

Tub of ice water doesn't require complete nudity. The shower, I agree, doesn't make much sense. Maybe overlooked or unfinished. But in case of strippers (or maybe they're exotic dancers) - not a mandatory. There's nudity during sex scenes.

Also don't forget that CDPR has to keep age rating under control. There's enough nudity to give the right vibe. Stuffing genitalia in your face during a private dance can be considered too much and the game might get Adult Only rating. I don't need to explain why CDPR can't allow that.
