I noticed my post was quoted. Can it be requoted or removed? I edited my comment to sound less heated and the old comment sounds heated.First things first, a fair warning from the moderators:

Now to the matter at hand...
So, I'm seeing a couple of threads every couple of hours since the official response from CD Projekt arrived regarding the "nudity bug". It isn't a bug as you can read here: Official response. All threads seem to be getting closed (don't close this one too, guys, please?), so I decided to open another but with a different tone. A suggestion, a petition.
What follows comes from a mature person that has a healthy relationship for years, so take it with moderation and not as a rant.
We have a mature game in our hands, filled with graphic violence, drugs, alcohol and sex. And yet, we can't take a shower naked and we can't look at our own junk while walking around naked in our own apartment. We can't take naked photos either.
Sure, okay, I can live with being forced to wear underwear once I leave my house, or even auto-equipping my last used gear once I leave my house, that would be fine. But omg... it's just so ridiculous that you allowed us to customize our characters at such sexual level only to see them spinning in our inventory! It's a non-sense, seriously.
This isn't a game breaking mechanic for me, but it sure is immersion breaking. After a certain mission, you wake up dizzy in the shower, looking at the floor and you see yourself wearing trunks (if male V), this totally broke the immersion for me. Up until this moment, I didn't really care that I wasn't able to see my dick when naked. Is not the necesity to see my own junk, it's the fact that a person doesn't get into the shower wearing underwear... and I'm sure you agree with this but you were forced to reduce the nudity during gameplay. There's no other explanation.
The combination of all of this with the fact that you promised the game would feature full nudity without any kind of censorship just really confuses me.
If consoles can't have it, fine, but my dudes.... you own your own platform... GOG and Steam is totally okay with nudity nowadays and adult games...
You made an inclusive game in which you can play as trans people, your NPC's dress like whatever they want, there seems to be no kind of inhibition or censorship, and yet and I can't... look at my own naked body....
Snif
Edit: I want add another matter to the discussion. The prostitutes.
Why are there only two NPC's you can interact with to initiate sex? Isn't the whole city cramped with prostitutes or what? I don't really understand it.
For me the reason is more than obvious: censorship again. When you put ONLY two NPC's that you can interact with, far away from the main story and 1st moments of the game, you "hide" those NPC's.
Imagine if you were able to hook up with any prostitute during your first visit to Viktor's (main plot progression). That street is filled with prostitutes, yet you can't really have sex with anyone. Why? These prostitutes don't really act any different than the two that you can interact with, (the ones that are far away, hidden from main story) they would invite you to their place and that's it.
I'm 100% sure the original idea was for you to be able to initiate sex with any prostitute <is prostitute=true> and allow players to interact with them. Not so hard... and VERY easy to censor.
Edit 2: I want to start adding some of the corcerns expressed in this thread for easy access for the devs, if you want yours to be added, sent me a PM.
Sure thing, just send me a PM with your editI noticed my post was quoted. Can it be requoted or removed? I edited my comment to sound less heated and the old comment sounds heated.
I started noticing news somewhere 5-7 days before the release that people started getting their CDs, due to a delivery error. At the same time, patch 1.03 was released about 2-3 days before the release, if I'm not mistaken. How many days before release was the game already playable ? I mean if it was before 1.03 patch would have been some days before release.
Its what I have now. https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/suggestions-nudity-megathread-remove-censorship-and-bring-back-what-advertised.11052956/post-12433538Sure thing, just send me a PM with your edit![]()
Judy's scene is the only one with full frontal nudity. At this rate I will be surprised if it is not censored in the next patch. The nudity issue is immersion breaking for me for one reason alone.
In sex scenes it's like they can only show half of something. If a woman has no underwear, then she has to have a top on. And vice versa. And in some cases, they actually keep everything on (SPOILERS: Meredith). I just noticed this during SPOILER the sex scene with Alt SPOILER. It actually made me laugh because I had just watched Panam's sex scene and it was the same thing in reverse (showing topless, but nothing else).
I feel like they were either skirting the ESRB rating (which makes no sense, because Witcher 3 had a ton of nudity) or they're cow-towing to Sony's censorship wishes. Which unfortunately affects other platforms now too according to devs.
Not seeing my character's junk in first person doesn't bother me that much. But atleast remove the shorts during sex scenes. The immersion gets broken when I see those shorts during the sex scenes. If they really can't show the junk during sex because of censorship, then atleast remove them for those scenes in particular, just like Witcher 3 did it.It was stated here it was intended. https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/pc-no-nude-on-first-person-view-mirrors-photo-mode-not-a-bug.11041100/page-37#post-12386645
Problem is there is no reason listed for why the decision was made.
I can confirm you was able to see your body naked, when the censorship setting was off. I wrote in my post already that I was my character naked in the mirror, in photomode, under shower, in inventory, etc....then, I noticed it with 1.04....I had underwear when I looked in mirror, under shower, photomode....also in the "romance cutscene" my V had underwear on..also the censorship setting was gone in the ingame settings.I still don't believe that this is intended, just because before going to sleep for the first time in the game, you can undress and see everything. Now I don't know if it's true or not anymore, but a couple of days ago, this was a thing.
Censoring that would be the worst-case scenario, which I HOPE DOESN'T HAPPEN. And no, Judy is not the only one with full-frontal nudity.Judy's scene is the only one with full frontal nudity. I will be surprised if it is not censored in the next patch.
Yes, i see in some videos that full nudity is in some cutscenes but if they changed the game compared to old versions is still a shame.Censoring that would be the worst-case scenario, which I HOPE DOESN'T HAPPEN. And no, Judy is not the only one with full-frontal nudity.
I'm actually getting scared right now. But then again, if they wanted those scenes censored, they would've done them first.Yes, i see in some videos that full nudity is in some cutscenes but if they changed the game compared to old versions is still a shame.
My thought process is why did CDPR put the time and effort programing this into the character customization if we can't show it or view it like a normal person would. Not seeing my character's junk in first person doesn't bother me that much. For all I care, just let us have no underwear in sex scenes and scenes where it would make sense to not have underwear, e.g., the shower scene (not all of them have underwear mind you).I agree with the OP. Nudity isn't really THAT important for CP2077, but immersion is. To let us design specific details of the genitals during character creation and then cover it up during the rest of the game is kinda strange, in my opinion. I understand that it is a delicate matter when it comes to seriousness; you don't want to encourage people doing silly things with this great piece of art, which CP certainly is, but if you are afraid there, why give it to us in the first place?
And ironically, the immersion in 1st person view is pretty awkward too. No headset/hairs shadows, our character doesn't appear on reflective surfaces with RTX enabled... It's very weird standing next to a guy in front of, say, a glass panel, see him in the reflect, but not see ourselves. Would make sense in a vampire setting I guessThe biggest decision they made, that I would think is bigger controversial decision, is the removal of nearly all 3rd person.
Their reason: Immersion.
It's probably for the sake of performance, but yeah, I can agree. And ironically, the immersion in 1st person view is pretty awkward too. A mod enables the MC to appear on reflective surfaces, but then the head is missing.
They did it before release from what i understand. 1.03 version just had these pants in free roaming and covered strippers like in Twitch gameplay i posted, if it's before release can still be forced censorship pressure and there's no need any advertise of it from developers cause game wasn't released and doesn't count as update. However i prefer to know if something is getting censored so then i don't buy it.I'm actually getting scared right now. But then again, if they wanted those scenes censored, they would've done them first.
