Hello, CDProjektRED and players! This is my first visit here.
I want to support this petition!
First of all, I would like to say that the game really has little freedom and a lot of closed buildings. There is practically no sex. In such a universe, there should have been a lot of entertainment available. If CDPR made it so that in the photo mode all children of the NPC are deleted, if there are mods that already add nudity, then why not the game developers help us? If you look down at your feet, the character has underpants. If you remove the panties using the editor, then the penis will still be missing. But it can be seen in inventory mode, in photo mode, in the mirror. Why don't the developers want to help us? Add penis to character in FPP mode. Please <3 After all, this is an adult game in which everyone should have their own desires.
This can be done optionally, as in Conan Exiles. Or just, please-please, give us a steps for add penis or create new model of this for FPP (for modders).

But photo mode is working, dude. Just see gift on Nexus and you will see penis in photo mode. But we need full nudity, special in FPP when we're looks down on feet but penis is invisible ;)
The hero's genitals are important only so as not to disrupt the immersion in the game. The problem of censorship, as I wrote above-they removed it not completely of course, but most of it. Places like the dude in the bathroom, the gay man V love affair, the guy in the robe - all of this and more, like the Valentino's gang sign or the striptease (THEY'RE ALL DRESSED UP NOW!!! IN A STRIPTEASE!!!!!) it was censored. But how much more complete would these moments look without it?

As one guy said: For 18+ game about sexualized dystopian future Cyberpunk provides very few options to be sexy. Maybe modders create a lot of sexy clothing, if CDPR give to modders a good features.
This isn't a 18+ game, it's M17+ and so they had to respect some guidelines.

I would like to know why it was taken out? Also why is it there in the first place if it was not going anywhere?

I mean was it really all hype points for marketing? Just so they can say we have full frontal nudity in our game?

I just dont understand it. Did no game developer learn from GTA hot coffe controversity. That alome made the game super in demand.

Frankly sex and nudity is the most normal thing ever, far more normal then going on a gun spree killing, which funny enough every game developer markets it like it was nothing.

Really all these things are getting changed ? I only know about the dude in the bathroom and photo mode.

Correct me if I am wrong but the city have been censored as well. I don't see this add with the jugs on jig jig anymore as well as other places like I was seeing it before the patch. I know it's random but I usually found it several times during my gameplay before the patch. If this was silently patched out, then you can only speculate what else the game has that has been censored. Can someone confirm seen this add "your taste" after the patch?

It's obviously not censorship in the usual sense, as no organisation or government FORCED CDPR to remove the advertised and promised nudity from their mature game. They did that themselves, so if it was censorship it was self-censorship.
We don't really know that and my suspicion is that this is on Sony. They announced in April 2019 that they were taking an increasingly puritanical stance on nudity on their platform. Google "Sony nudity on playstation" and you will find a raft of articles about this, for example:
Sony Finally Speaks Out on Its New Censorship Policies (truetrophies.com) .

CDPR promised that they would not release different content on different platforms and would only enact differences required by region. So in keeping with that promise, to get the game on Playstation they will have had to censor it all - or break another promise. Frankly, as a PC player, this is one promise I'd be happy for them to have broken. It is immensely irritating that my gaming experience in PC is being impacted by childish policies made by a company that has nothing at all to do with pc gaming.

Probably Sony restrictive rules are affecting this, they have the most restrictive consoles that impose even more limits than the ESRB range. Usually Sony censorship only remain on PS4 but some other games affected all versions like Terminator game, i hope this is not the case.

if that was true, then PC should get Directors Cut edition or something

Devs said on their Discord there will not be but i hope there it'll be at this point.

Some Steam forums talks about even sex scenes are covered now, is that true ? They're basically removing everything from the game ?

I get that 100%!!!

I just think it is funny that the point of attack is the censoring cock 'n balls and not (for example) the missing subway-feature, car-costumization, hair stylists and what not.

Again. Im not attacking anybody here! I just think it is funny that the whole ordeal drifted into that direction.

So we have to abandon the topic because there are "more important" missing elements in the game? This is how we can do with any other topic, and in the end, we will only have one.

Nudity, body exposure, openness in this matter is something that is part of the Cyberpunk world and was supposed to be part of 2077. Also, no one of the devs informed players that because of the regulation issues, you will get an "appropriate" game in which even strippers will be unsexual. Besides, they threw into game very poor quality censorship on many elements, prepared for the last moment and they saying now "this was the plan".

Nothing is more important than censorship. Censorship of every kind is a [...] and can't be accepted in games and movies, missing features like subway and deleted missions are just missing contents.

i never implied that you have to abandon the topic. where did I even slightly mentioned it. Like I said before, IM OK with you discussing that. I JUST think its funny that it drifted into that direction.

Edit: And I even wrote that I'm not attacking anything or anybody here (INCLUDING THE CHOICE OF TOPIC)

Good thing i got all my money back from this lame excuse of a game.
not touching anything on GOG or CDPR anymore was about to buy the witcher3 DLCs but just gonna ignore them from now one.
nudity is gone the braindances are gone the metro is gone the Cars are on rails and does not even turn the wheels.
if you got to some high places and zoom in with a scope all cars are 2d animation not even LOD.
Coices does not matter in the game you get same outcome just diffrent way to get there.

I see people writing about the ESRB and the M17 rating etc..
Please keep in mind that Cyberpunk was released all over the world and that many countries have completely different standards.

Nipples, even full frontal nudity aren't a reason for censorship at all in Germany, as long as we are not talking about actually hardcore porn scenes in the game (and I mean hardcore, not softcore), it wouldn't affect the rating.
The philosophy behind that is that the human body is a natural thing and not something to be ashamed of and hide. We don't run around naked, but we don't blow a fuse if we see tits and arses on a screen.
Even graphic sex scenes would be fine, IF they were an integral part of the storyline, like fe. with a romance partner you pursue OR if it shows the way the world of Cyberpunk works.
Violence is a far more important reason for censorship in games in Germany.

I can't speak for all European countries, but I know that many are way more open to nakedness and sexual acts as America is in regards to laws.

So that being said, obviously all the logic behind the reason for censorship on CDPRs side won't apply to any of those countries with different standards.

I also want to point out that we have at least one statement from CDPR saying that the removal of nudity was intentional and that not only pertains to the player character, but also to the game world in general.
So rest assured IT IS NOT A BUG, IT IS AN INTENTIONAL CHANGE IN HOW THE GAME LOOKS. I've played before the patch and tried some of the places I saw nudity, where now is none, like in that first mission with the body in the bath tub.
You could argue that as buggy as the game was, it was actually the bug that there was nudity in it, but then that would go against everything CDPR said about the game before release AND it would be weird that it isn't mentioned in any patch notes.

Let me also point out that I'm not up in arms due to the removal of nudity, it is just one of many, many things about the game and the state it is in that I find incredibly disappointing.

The most important thing is also (I originally come from Poland, so I had a lot more interviews and articles about the game) that they advertised the game as brutal, dark, sexually-oriented and simply authentic to the Cyberpunk world. The fact that you can choose genitals at the level of character creation at all proves it. We also have a censorship switch, which should be totally sufficient in countries where we don't have to worry about AO status (and almost everywhere for PC). Even The Witcher 3 has more nudity than 2077.

Lack of clear communication on this topic and really poor quality censorship imposed on many elements at the last minute is also just a snap in the nose for us, players. If they really wanted to censor the game, they could rectify it and leave nothing in the character creator.

It just looks bad now.

There is so much nudity on the internet and in the real world. And in a game it is a taboo?!? Being so prude is unnatural in my opinion.

Even in art there is much nudity. There is never an 18+ stamp or stickers on artwork to cover the nudity. I thought Cyperpunk 2077 was a piece of art. But seems I am wrong.

I do not understand.

Violence is a far more important reason for censorship in games in Germany.

This would explain why when you decapitate someone or remove a limb you don't see blood, but instead a white substance that I assume is supposed to represent like some kind of fluid used in cybernetic parts, but the fact that it occurs on enemies that are clearly not cyberized in the specific area they were damaged says to me this is a way of appeasing censorship laws in places like Germany.

I think the idea of 'making sure everyone gets the same version of the game' boils down to, 'Every country has a problem with something, and attempting to appease all of them will leave you with nothing.'

We're seeing that in practice here. On top of that, since they are trying to keep the console and PC versions the same, the PC versions have to suffer through the ridiculous censorship rules Sony has for no good reason. This is not a smart move on CDPR's part.
