[suggestions][spoliers] Add some motive to xxx ?

I mean Avallac'h, the fox

His relationship with Lara somehow similar to Geralt and Ciri, binding by law or fate or something else

The Major different is to Geralt, Ciri is something more than fate.
And to Avallac'h, sacrifice Ciri to save world is the "lesser evil"

CDPR could just add some dialog opinons in the mission "Through time and space" , like ask about the Lara Dorren's necklace

This would made Avallac'h's motive and actions more realizable.

I have to confess, I thought you were going to ask for something entirely different with this thread title.

In regards to your suggestion, I think anything that adds any sort of dimension to Avallac'h is much needed (and his buddy Eredin, for that matter), especially subtle hints about his motives. I don't think it would be good for a long winded explanation like some villain's monologue from a movie, which would be rather ridiculous...but something subtle? Why not. It couldn't hurt. The entire scene in the lab was one giant wasted opportunity.

Sorry, English is not my native language, Just notice XXX 's major means on internet lol

Something subtle or hint is better, Avallac'h can tell his feel about Lara ,would made this character more complicated.

Actually Avallac'h once loved Lara Dorren himself.

Auberon was her supposed father, at least that's my interpretation..

But I do agree that the complexity of the relationship between Avallac'h and Ciri is underdeveloped in Witcher 3. As most of the stuff concerning the Aen Elle actually is. Either underdeveloped or inconsistent with the books. Hell, most of the things concerning the Aen Elle are inconsistent with the books...

Lara Dorren was supposed to marry Avallach so it's a bit different from Geralt and Ciri's relationship. However, i agree that he needed more dialog to make his motives more understandable. As it is right now there's only some kind of hint once when Geralt says something like "Ciri always did what she wanted" to which Avallach responds "I'm counting on it" but even that only becomes clear once you finish the game which doesn't make it any better. Still they did a good job with Avallach for the most part imo, until the very end i never trusted him and expected him to use Ciri to open the gate for the Aen Elle to invade, so i was surprised that he was just helping out Ciri.
Considering he's a sage and should know a great deal about many things, he could have even been used as a narrative tool to tie everything together. The Hunt's motives to chase after Ciri, what was the White Frost ,why and how is it destroying worlds, his reasons to help Ciri and it's connection with Lara Dorren, maybe even sharing some insight about Geralt's time with the Hunt and by that allowing Eredin to gain more depth as the main villain.

Can't agree more, but this would be reconstruction about the game's last part. not simply fix, more like a enhanced or director's cut ver.

I personal thinking Ithlinne's Prophecy strong hint that both side world finally unite as a new reborn world (by Ciri).
But this is far from the game's original structure, and make the politics plot not much sense here.

Avallac'h wasn't too poorly handled IMO. They presented the right amount of information so the player couldn't be certain of his allegiance. His character could have presented more lore and answers, but that didn't feel central to his development as a character.

I have to agree with that, they want us to be uncertain of him from the beginning, so they left it very ambiguous. I would have loved more dialogue with him though, since he knows a lot. My problem lies with the 3rd act in its entirety, it just felt weak in general.
