Hi pc:

12900K with NZXT KRAKEN X73 ( 50-60C in game )

2x16GB DDR4 KINGSTON DDR4 3600MHZ in GEAR 1

RTX 3090 Ti Gigabyte Gaming

Aorus Z690 Elite DDR4 bios F5

SSD 1 TB NVM PCIE

I have Windows 10 2H22.
Using 1440P,ULTRA RT,DLSS QUALITY,rest Ultra. So switching between DLSS modes giving me more or less fps. Normal.
When i go to 1080P i have more fps than 1440P.Normal.
Without RT ( RT OFF ) when i am switching between DLSS OFF , ON--> Quality, balance,or performance i have the same fps on 1080P.
But when i turn ON RT on 1080P switching bewtween DLSS gives me more fps.
Just switching between DLSS ON-OFF or DLSS modes on 1080P not improves my fps without RT ,only on 1080P.

I am cpu limited?

I think its windows 11 issue. But i want to be sure and i am downloading after format again Watch Dogs.
I formatted all and installed win 10 22H2. Tested unigine Heaven in 720P and 98% usage. I think now will be fine.

So question why i had issues with usage on win 11 22H2 when somebody not?

How is the gpu usage on 1080p? DLSS at that resolution is kinda counter productive since lower res = more cpu bound. You should be hitting your limits even at 1080p normal res, adding DLSS is 66% of 1080p or less so your not gaining much exept for perhaps with very high settings on RT and so on.

Last i tested i think i saw 0 differance in fps between 1080p normal and with DLSS quality, was back in 1.3 tho and my gpu usage was like 70% or something.

whAts your pc

3090 oced with a 3900X. Never got higher then 70% usage at 1080p exept in the very high densety areas where it could spike a bit. was back in like 1.2 or 1.3 tho

My fps remains the same on 720P like on 1080P. 80-90% usage.

The same person with 12900K and Rtx 3090, tested on 720P CB2077 benchmark have 90% usage on 720P. DLSS OFF, RT OFF, And have more fps than me.And i have still 80% usage here.

I tried to reformat ,update bios nothing helps. And change drivers. Why then my fps are the same 720P like on 1080P?

Are your temps/powerdraw similar? The video is a very high end waterloop im guessing (46c on the gpu) Im guessing its also OCed both cpu and gpu. (3090 has slower gddr6x speed then 21gbps) Cooler temps helps with boosts and everything really. Is it the same ram speeds? Someting is limiting your GPU, im guessing its the CPU since thats most common. Even in the video you can see it drop in usage, 8o%something for short burst in the bar. If your not bottlenecked you should be around 99-97% all the time.

DLSS is just bad the lower the resolution you are aiming for, you would probably do better at 4k than 1080p becasue DLSS has more benifit. this is not your computer, it's jsut DLSS being normal.

^ Yeah, DLSS won't have a lot of effect at resolutions below 1080p. DLSS is a form of "downscaling". Hence, if I can run a game smoothly 1440p, DLSS will basically take a rendering at 4K, then scale the image down to 1440p resolution -- and that's a lot of pixels to work with for the final "blend"! The picture will be sharp, and the performance gain will be massive (compared to actually running it at 4K). No...wait...backwards. :facepalm:It's "upscaling". Hence, if I can't run a game smoothly at 1440p, it will reder it at 1080p, then "fill in the gaps", so to speak, to render it at a 1440p resolution. If, however, I'm running at 720p resolution, I've only got about half the pixels to work with for that final image. Neither the image quality nor the performance will be much different from...just running the game at 720p.
