I tried. but the pics were too small.Show us the difference. Would you kindly?
Totally agreeI tried. but the pics were too small.
I wish you guys would go into detail, for all I see is:Totally agree
Novigrad has to be the most disappointing change from the trailers
You're talking about a stylistic change, not a downgrade. There's a difference. The image look definitely less atmospheric, and really really washed out. The colors, they look like plastic. There's no dark-and-gritty-Witcher feel to it
The image look definitely less atmospheric, and really really washed out. The colors, they look like plastic. There's no dark-and-gritty-Witcher feel to itI wish you guys would go into detail, for all I see is:
1) A tree is missing
2) The crowd at the fish market is smaller.
3) No greenish tint. While I like the almost monochromatic appeal of the E3 2013 shot, I also appreciate the broader colour palette in the latest footage.
No sign of a downgrade here.
So...in your opinion this pic:Totally agree
Novigrad has to be the most disappointing change from the trailers
But "atmposphere" is subjective. You can't say that there is a downgrade if your argument is based on your personal taste. The image look definitely less atmospheric, and really really washed out. The colors, they look like plastic. There's no dark-and-gritty-Witcher feel to it
The new vibrant Novigrad is way better than green filters and oversharpened textures.Totally agree

To some extent, yes.So...in your opinion this pic:

Of course, these are all opinions here. But "atmposphere" is subjective. You can't say that there is a downgrade if your argument is based on your personal taste.
What does "oversharpened" means? The new vibrant Novigrad is way better than green filters and oversharpened textures.
I think that different lighting hue is a result of time of the day (second is noon, hues need to be more saturated and bright) and weather conditions. No woories, in a stormy evening you'll get what you want. They really need to show environment/daylight system to us.The image look definitely less atmospheric, and really really washed out. The colors, they look like plastic. There's no dark-and-gritty-Witcher feel to it
I would be ok either way. It made TW2 look unique, but it was kind of overdone in some areas. I don't know what they were thinking with the lightning textures in the Kayran lair, but I think the game looked beatiful especially with ubersampling. Wonder why they removed the sharpening though. Was it an artistic decision? They changed the lighting and removed the sharpening.
Each to their own, frankly I think Novigrad looks much, much better now in comparison to that initial shot. I prefer the more natural lighting and softer feel without the sharpening.
Seriously you don't know that and you try to post in graphic oriented thread ?What does "oversharpened" means?
So you go into graphics oriented thread and complain about people discussing graphics ?graphics graphics ...always graphics
move on kiddies there is more to a game then graphics sure they shouldn't look shitty but the gamescom video looks awesome
and is enough for the big open world they are delivering
OK I think I know what you mean, tySome posts have just been deleted, and I'd like to remind everyone not to respond to differences of opinion by making personal attacks.
Actions have consequences.
@ilayoeli - sharpening is a technique in photography and CGI to enhance edges. If done correctly, it improves the focus and clarity of the image. If done too much, it makes the image look unrealistic and cluttered.
«kiddies»?graphics graphics ...always graphics
