Syncing saves from the demo on PS5 doesn't work.

Alright, so I decided to go ahead and try out the game via the free trial on PS5 from this past weekend. Enjoyed it very much, got right past the biochip heist and the Johnny flashbacks and waking up from them, when my 4 and a half hours came to an end. No biggie I thought as I knew the game had cross-save. So after the timer ended, the game booted me to main menu where I could still access all my saves and connect my CDProjectRED account, so I did that. I didn't know whether some kind of syncing icon was supposed to pop up so I assumed maybe my saves quietly started syncing, so I went ahead and bought the game from GOG on PC since it's on sale right now, expecting to be able to pick up right where I left off on my PS5.

But, as it turns out, the saves just didn't sync. I thought maybe there was a problem with my account or something, so I started a new save on PC just to see if it would upload or something, and lo and behold, a little cloud icon appeared on it indicating it did indeed sync. So, I assumed syncing would be fine now so I booted up the game on my PS5 and went to the save loading menu to see if my PS5 saves started syncing. To my disappointment, my PC save did appear on my PS5, even showing the little cloud icon, but my PS5 saves didn't start syncing or anything.

Now, I suspect this is happening because those saves were created before I connected my CDProjektRED account to my PS5 trial, but if this is the case then nowhere was I warned about this being a thing. A massive oversight on CDProjekt's part too. I would go ahead and boot up the save just to manually save it and make it start syncing, but I can't since the timer is at 0. I can only access the prompt asking me to either buy the game or go back to the main menu.

What do I do? I already contacted CDProjektRED's support (which I had to via a different save issue category because for some reason they decided to only provide direct support for a limited set of issues which is ridiculous) but it says they're under heavy load. Such a bummer.

Only the very last save created among all platforms your account is linked is uploaded and shared (that's why your save on PC appear on your PS5, but not the opposite). So in order to share your progression from your PS5 to your PC, you have to create a more recent one on your PS5 which I guess is no longer possible :(

Categories are limited yes, but if you don't find one specially dedicated to report your issue, just pick up the category which seems to be the "closest", it's fine ;)

That's crazy. I mean my PS5 save was the latest save at some point and it still didn't sync. Also why not give the option to manually sync a specific file? I did pick the closest category I could bjt this is terrible UX all around.

Yes, but did you waited "long enough" and let your PS5 saves (one manual and one auto-save) be synched before quiting the game after linking your account?
If yes, your PS5 saves should have appeared on your PC after linking your account. Anyway, as soon as you created a newer save(s) on your PC, your PS5 saves are now ignored and won't be uploaded :(

Because it's a "cross-progression", not a "sharing saves" feature and it's free for everyone you bought the game.

I definitely waited for more than an hour. Either way the saves didn't even start syncing to begin with since there was no icon indicating they did.

I think it's crazy that I'm bringing up Ubisoft as a good example here but Farcry 6 lets you have 4 cross progression slots you can manually upload and download saves to and from.
