Talent points in EE

I played TW2 when it was first released but have only just got round to replaying it with the EE. The problem is that I am now, with the latest patches, unable to spend talent points. Clicking on the skills does nothing. Pressing space does nothing. Clicking on the button in the lower right does nothing. The character screen is just unresponsive, aside from navigation. I am playing on Hard difficulty and am well aware that the character screen must be accessed via meditation. All other UI elements are functioning just fine.

Are you playing tutorial ?
character upgrade is only available after you reach certain part of tutorial.

but if you're playing the main game, then I've never seen anything like it.

This is indeed in the main game. I thought levelling might just be locked in the prologue but I'm in chapter 1 now and still no luck.

Having done some searching, I haven't found anyone else with this problem so I'll probably just try reinstalling sometime this weekend.

Which level are you in the game?
You need to spend 6 talent points in the Training Tree (which is equivalent to level 7 in game) before you are able to unlock the remaining three talent paths.

If the problem persist after that I recommend you reinstalling the game as it might be a bug related to one of the patches.

Hmm, If you are aware that you need to spend points via meditation in harder difficulty it must be a bug or something.

You say you are aware of the need to get into the Character screen via Meditation, not via the C key, but the lack of response you see is exactly what you get by going in via the C key.

I would make sure that that is what you are in fact doing. Meditate, make sure the wheel with Character, Alchemy, Meditation, and Drink Potions comes up, and select Character.

This isn't a common, or even known, bug. Every case that has come up on the forums has been due to entering the Character screen the wrong way. So please check carefully that you are entering the Character screen the right way.

Yep, I am accessing via meditation. The screen I am on has a prompt/button in the lower right saying to press space to level (this is not there on the 'c' menu). I'm downloading and reinstalling again this evening, so will post back whether or not that fixes it.

Edit: Reinstalling has fixed the problem.
